Early varieties are especially popular among gardeners, not only due to the ripening time of the fruits, but also because such crops are more resistant to fungal diseases. This means that they are unpretentious in care. Tomato Tretyakovsky belongs to just such varieties.

Breeding history

At the moment there are two varieties called Tretyakovsky. Both varieties are indeterminate. The first was launched in 1998 in the Urals and was not included in the State Register. The second grade is relatively new. Approved for use in 2021. It is a hybrid. The company-originator is "Heterosin selection" with breeders represented by T. V. Steinert, A. V. Alilueva, V. Fedyakov.

Tomatoes are stated to be suitable for growing in polycarbonate and plastic greenhouses. There are no restrictions on the region of cultivation.

Description of the variety

A tall bush with unlimited vigor. The height of the stem is 150-170 cm. If you do not pinch the top in time, the plant can reach 200-250 cm. The length of the bush is regulated depending on the height of the greenhouse.

It is recommended by the manufacturer to form a bush into two stems: the first is the main one, the second is the strongest left stepchild. This method is considered the best for a number of reasons. It is important to help the bush to unload and bring more yield.

The main trunk is hard and stiff. The color is dark green or green-brown. Side shoots grow in large numbers, so pinching is necessary. Despite the fact that the stem is tough, it cannot withstand the full weight of the fruit, so a garter to the pegs or trellises is needed.

There are quite a lot of foliage. It is dark, oblong-elongated in shape with jagged edges. The surface of the plates is very fleecy. Gardeners recommend removing some of the leaves, especially on the lower branches, since there is no need for them.

The root system is well developed, but only superficially. The roots go deeper to the side than to the depth. This should be taken into account when planting seedlings.

The inflorescence of the variety is intermediate. The buds are bright yellow, self-pollinated. There are practically no barren flowers.

The first ovary appears at the level of 6-7 leaves, the subsequent ones - after 3. 7-9 fruits are formed on one cluster. The mass of vegetables does not differ from each other. On the lower branches, the berry can grow no larger than on the high ones. The main difference is that fewer fruits are formed on the upper clusters, only 4-6.

Positive aspects are noted, such as increased yield and excellent taste of the fruit.

The manufacturer claims that the variety is universal, so it can be used for cooking and preserving any kind of food. Thanks to their dense skin, tomatoes tolerate transportation well. They have a long shelf life, up to 1.5-2 months in a dark place. The characteristics of the variety indicate that the bushes are not afraid of the cold, they are not afraid of a slight drought and shade.

The negative sides, like many indeterminate varieties, are the need to tie up a bush and shape it.

The main qualities of the fruit

Fruits of approximately the same weight - 220-250 g. Vegetables are flat-round in shape. Ribbing appears at the peduncle, but it is subtle and felt only to the touch.

The color of the berries is raspberry, the skin is dense, but thin. When processed, it is well removed from the fetus. Cracking is not typical of the variety. It is stated that unripe green tomatoes ripen well in a dark and warm place without losing flavor.

The pulp is firm, juicy, sugary and watery. Its color is crimson-pink. Inside 2-3 chambers, there are few seeds, and they are empty.

In addition to fresh consumption, the fruits are suitable for salting, freezing and for vegetable soups or jams.

Taste characteristics

It is stated that the taste of tomatoes is sweet and sour with a characteristic tomato aroma.

Ripening and fruiting

Early ripening type. Fruits are formed in 105-110 days. And the harvest takes place at the end of July or the beginning of August. Fruiting is not stretched, the maximum can be collected in two stages.

Yield

The variety has an excellent yield. From 1 m2, you can collect up to 20-25 kg of berries, if you form a bush in two stems. If in one, then the yield will reach 10-12 kg.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

Since the variety is hybrid, it is necessary to purchase seedlings, because it is impossible to breed with seeds on your own.

It is recommended to grow the crop in indoor greenhouses. This means that you can sow seeds from late February to early April. Before sowing, it is worth reading on the label whether pre-treatment has been carried out. If so, you can plant the material immediately.

If there was no treatment, then everything is pre-soaked in water at room temperature. In order to disinfect the seeds, a few drops of potassium permanganate are dripped into the liquid. Then everything is rinsed in distilled water and wiped dry with a paper towel.

Fertile soil is poured into seedling containers. It should be soft and it is advisable to mix it with the sand. If the soil is harvested independently, then it must be dry and disinfected. To do this, you can simply ignite the earth in the stove. Many harmful microelements and pests, such as bear and whitefly, overwinter in the soil.

Sowing seeds doesn't take long. The pits are made shallow, two seeds are placed in one hole. After that, everything is leveled and spilled with water.

The containers are covered with plastic wrap and stored in a warm place. The seeds will hatch in a week.

The next seedling care will include:

  • watering once a week;

  • feeding with growth stimulants;

  • sunlight for at least 14 hours;

  • a pick.

It is worth planting seedlings in the ground in May or early June. The air temperature should not be lower than + 14 ° С, in the greenhouse - 16-18 ° С.

After planting, each bush is spilled abundantly with water, and everything is left for about a week. During this week, the plant is not fed or moistened. Especially tall bushes are tied to a support.

Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.

Landing scheme

Since the roots of the Tretyakovsky variety grow sideways, and not down, you should choose the optimal planting for the seedlings. The scheme can be 30x50 cm. This will be enough for the subsequent processing of bushes and harvesting.

Planting a tomato is a very important and painstaking business. In order to get a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to competently approach the issue of planting. When planting a tomato in the ground, it is necessary to take into account many factors - correctly determine the timing, prepare the soil, correctly calculate the distance between plants, take into account the rules of crop rotation.

Growing and care

For a good harvest, the main points of care should be observed.

  • Garter to the support. It is better to tie up not only the stem, but also the branches, since the fruits are very weighty, and from their number the branches sag under the weight. Brokenness should be avoided. Insects can come to the juice.

  • Water the bush abundantly, but infrequently. On average, up to 3 ladles of settled warm water. Watering is carried out not only at the stem itself, but also a little around, with a diameter of about 20 cm, so that the entire length of the roots is saturated. After irrigation, the soil must be loosened. This is done with a hoe and not very deep. It is enough to break the top layer.

  • The formation of the bush must be carried out weekly. Excess shoots are removed as soon as they reach 4-6 cm in length. The lower leaves are also removed.

  • Preventive spraying against insects and fungal diseases is carried out.

Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist. In dry weather, when there is no rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
The methods of tying tomato bushes can vary significantly, depending on the availability of available material, the method of fixation, and also the variety. In general, it is recommended to adhere to the following scheme: first, the central stems are grabbed, and then, as the fruits ripen, the lateral branches.
One of the important conditions for tomato agricultural technology is the correct formation of the bush. The formation of tomato bushes means performing the following steps: pinching, pinching, trimming the leaves, normalizing the ovaries.

A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.

It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.

Treatment and prevention of diseases and pests
When growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, diseases often occur due to a violation of the temperature regime and excessive humidity. The most common diseases are fungal (late blight, cladosporium, rot).
The fight against diseases and pests of tomatoes in open areas can be quite difficult. This is because nightshades are exposed to a wide variety of pathogens and insect pests.
