This early fruitful hybrid quickly won the attention of gardeners for its unpretentious care, as well as excellent taste. Its high degree of resistance to typical diseases of nightshade crops is also noted.

Breeding history

The Flame hybrid appeared on the industrial market in 2019, when it was entered into the State Register. The author of the culture is a specialist in breeding work Blokin-Mechtalin V.I., who managed to bring out an early-ripening variety with high yields.

Description of the variety

The culture has inherited the best qualities from its maternal predecessors. It is characterized by a high degree of resistance to typical diseases of crops. Nevertheless, the variety maintains its characteristics only in one generation - the seeds obtained from it do not possess the properties of its parent varieties.

This early maturing, standard and determinant culture is intended for cultivation in greenhouse conditions and in open soils, since summer temperature drops are not dangerous for it. Bushes are medium-sized, compact, neat in shape, reaching a height of 80-120 cm. They are distinguished by strong trunks and stems. For them, there is no need for pinching, tying and pinching the crown. Tomatoes with simple inflorescences, primary are formed over 6 leaves. Then they appear every 2 leaves. Each inflorescence has 4-5 flowers. The short foliage is of the usual medium size with a dark green color.

The pluses of culture include:

  • unpretentious care;

  • good endurance to temperature extremes;

  • productive growth with a lack of sun;

  • versatility in use;

  • excellent taste for a hybrid;

  • the ability to early ripening;

  • high yield;

  • decent commercial qualities;

  • high level of transportability;

  • compactness of bushes.

Minuses:

  • exactingness to soil fertility;

  • in the process of canning, the fruits can burst (the dense peel is separated from the pulp during processing with boiling water).

The fruits are used fresh, for canning and for making juices.

The main qualities of the fruit

Fruits are elliptical, slightly ribbed, orange or scarlet. The color of unripe fruits is light green. Average weight - 50 g. They are dense to the touch, fleshy consistency. Tomato peel is shiny and smooth, firm, protecting the fruit from cracking.

A brownish dimple is clearly visible at the junction of the green corolla and the stalk. The peduncles are articulated. The consistency of the fruit is fleshy, fragrant, tender, the seeds are small, located in the center.

The fruits can be stored for 3-4 weeks. At the same time, drafts, high degree of humidity should not be allowed in the storage, it is important to constantly maintain the temperature no more than +19 degrees.

The culture tolerates long-term transportation well, without losing its presentation and taste. The keeping quality of the fruit is at a high level.

Taste characteristics

According to tasting evaluations, the fruits have an excellent taste, the consistency is juicy, sweet, with an excellent aroma. 4.8 points are scored on a five-point tasting scale.

Ripening and fruiting

The ripening period is early. From the moment of emergence of seedlings to ripening of fruits, 85-90 days pass. The fruits should be removed in a timely manner, otherwise they begin to overripe and rot. You can also remove them green - they ripen well on windowsills.

Yield

The yield reaches 14.1 kg / sq. m.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

Sowing seeds for seedlings is usually carried out in April-May.

Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.

Landing scheme

The standard planting pattern is 5 bushes / m2.

Planting a tomato is a very important and painstaking business. In order to get a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to competently approach the issue of planting. When planting a tomato in the ground, it is necessary to take into account many factors - correctly determine the timing, prepare the soil, correctly calculate the distance between plants, take into account the rules of crop rotation.

Growing and care

Cultivation of the variety usually does not cause difficulties and special concerns even for beginners in the gardening business. It does not require special conditions and growing technologies. To obtain a bountiful harvest, it is enough to follow the basic rules of care. Taking into account the early maturity of the culture, its seeds are sown for seedlings 50-55 days before transplanting seedlings into the soil. Too early planting leads to difficulties during transplantation - overgrown bushes begin to hurt.

The seeds of the culture show a friendly germination. They are preliminarily disinfected in a weak solution of potassium permanganate (soaked for 1.5-2 hours). Then they are washed and dried. Treatment of seeds with growth stimulants is allowed.

Pretreatment and disinfection help to avoid problems in the future growth, form a reliable immunity to typical diseases of nightshade crops.

Light and fertile soil is prepared for sowing seeds. The mixture can be prepared independently, using equal proportions of earth, peat, coarse sand. Landing containers must be disinfected with a dark pink manganese solution. Both general boxes and individual containers are suitable for seeding. Initially, the bottom of such containers is equipped with a drainage consisting of fine expanded clay. Then pour in the potting mix, leaving a little space. Drainage is needed to remove excess moisture from the soil, to exclude the process of waterlogging.

Two seeds are placed in the containers to ensure friendly germination. In common containers, the seeds are placed in grooves 1 cm deep, at a distance of 3 cm. From above, they are sprinkled with a thin layer of soil (1 cm).

The planted seeds are abundantly irrigated with warm water (it is more advisable to use a sprayer so as not to blur the planting). Containers with planting material are covered with glass, transparent plastic or plastic wrap to form a favorable microclimate for the growth of bushes. The containers are placed in a well-lit place. They organize timely irrigation and airing (waterlogging will only harm the seedlings). For the purpose of airing, the film is removed in the morning and returned to its place at about lunchtime. When friendly shoots appear, protective shelters are removed.

Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist.In dry weather, when there is no rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
The methods of tying tomato bushes can vary significantly, depending on the availability of available material, the method of fixation, and also the variety. In general, it is recommended to adhere to the following scheme: first, the central stems are grabbed, and then, as the fruits ripen, the lateral branches.
One of the important conditions for tomato agricultural technology is the correct formation of the bush. The formation of tomato bushes means performing the following steps: pinching, pinching, trimming the leaves, normalizing the ovaries.

A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.

It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.

Disease and pest resistance

The culture is characterized by a high degree of immunity to most diseases typical for nightshade crops. Early maturity and synchronous ripening of fruits saves her from late blight. However, a poor-quality care process, violations of the necessary agrotechnical rules naturally lead to serious problems even in strong and healthy plants.

For culture, competent and regular care is carried out, a system of preventive measures is being implemented. To protect against diseases and pest attacks, spraying with folk remedies - garlic and onion infusions - is useful and effective. Regularly carried out: weeding the beds, loosening the soil (to improve gas exchange), exclude excessive irrigation. For bushes growing in greenhouses, regular ventilation is organized.

When signs of the disease are detected, expressed in wilting of leaves, the occurrence of rot, the infected areas are eliminated, and the bushes are treated with drugs. The affected areas should be eliminated, and the bushes should be treated with special preparations. Against fungi and infections, you can treat the bushes with "Tridex", "Ridomil", "Ditan", "Metaxil".

When slugs or caterpillars appear, they are removed manually, followed by prevention of their reappearance. Sand, soda or ash are poured under the bushes as a barrier against parasites. For pest control, special insecticides with a paralytic effect on insects are also used - "Lazurit", "Sukhovey", "Tornado", "Escudo" and others.

Treatment and prevention of diseases and pests
When growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, diseases often occur due to a violation of the temperature regime and excessive humidity. The most common diseases are fungal (late blight, cladosporium, rot).
The fight against diseases and pests of tomatoes in open areas can be quite difficult. This is because nightshades are exposed to a wide variety of pathogens and insect pests.
