Tomato Pink Margari - a new indeterminate hybrid, also known as JT Il 1, was bred by breeders for fresh consumption, juices and salads. It has impressive characteristics and grows well in open field and greenhouses. The fruits tolerate transportation well, are suitable for storage, and are distinguished by an attractive presentation.

Description of the variety

The tall hybrid has strong shoots. The bush is not very branched, with a powerful stem. The tops are formed from leaves of medium length. They are not pubescent, standard type, green in color. The formed inflorescences are simple and semi-complex. The first fruit cluster is laid after the 7th leaf.

The main qualities of the fruit

Tomatoes of the Pink Margari hybrid produce fruits that are initially colored green, with a characteristic lighter area in the region of the stalk. Ripe pink tomatoes, flat-round in shape, with pronounced ribbing. The fruits are large, weigh an average of about 260 g, collected in a cluster of 4-6 pieces. Under the strong skin there is a dense pulp, tomatoes are resistant to cracking.

Taste characteristics

The fruit has a high tasting score. They have a good balance of acidity and sweetness and contain a lot of dry matter. The taste is rich, the aroma is bright.

Ripening and fruiting

Tomato Pink Margari belongs to mid-season hybrids. The ripening period in a greenhouse is 58-62 days, in the open field they increase.

Yield

The hybrid bears fruit in an amount of up to 15.4 kg / sq. m. This allows us to classify it as a high-yielding subspecies.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

Pink Margari tomatoes can be sown on seedlings early, in the 3rd decade of February. They are transferred to the greenhouse in mid-April.

Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.

Landing scheme

This hybrid can be planted according to the 50 × 40 cm scheme. No more than 3 bushes are located per 1 m2.

Planting a tomato is a very important and painstaking business. In order to get a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to competently approach the issue of planting. When planting a tomato in the ground, it is necessary to take into account many factors - correctly determine the timing, prepare the soil, correctly calculate the distance between plants, take into account the rules of crop rotation.

Growing and care

In the open field, plants require the installation of trellises for tying. They can be grown in 4-6 stems, depending on the desired yield indicators. The hybrid is used in the spring, summer and intermediate crop rotation. Plants lend themselves easily to formation, give the harvest together.

Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist. In dry weather, when there is no rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
The methods of tying tomato bushes can vary significantly, depending on the availability of available material, the method of fixation, and also the variety. In general, it is recommended to adhere to the following scheme: first, the central stems are grabbed, and then, as the fruits ripen, the lateral branches.
One of the important conditions for tomato agricultural technology is the correct formation of the bush. The formation of tomato bushes means performing the following steps: pinching, pinching, trimming the leaves, normalizing the ovaries.

A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.

It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.

Disease and pest resistance

This hybrid has a high immune resistance to viral diseases. Practically not affected by tobacco mosaic, fusarium wilting. In greenhouses, vulnerable to whiteflies and aphids. In the open field it can suffer from attacks of the Colorado potato beetle. Mulching the soil around the central shoot helps to protect the bushes from pests.

Treatment and prevention of diseases and pests
When growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, diseases often occur due to a violation of the temperature regime and excessive humidity. The most common diseases are fungal (late blight, cladosporium, rot).
The fight against diseases and pests of tomatoes in open areas can be quite difficult. This is because nightshades are exposed to a wide variety of pathogens and insect pests.

Resistant to adverse weather conditions

Plants are not afraid of temperature extremes; in greenhouses they tolerate short-term temperature drops well. The hybrid is resistant to high humidity, grows and develops normally in such conditions. This makes it the best choice for planting in greenhouses with irregular ventilation.

Growing regions

Pink Margari hybrid is quite well adapted to various growing conditions. It can be planted in the northern and eastern regions, in the central and black earth regions. Tomato bushes can be planted outdoors in the North Caucasus. The Far East and Western Siberia are also suitable for cultivation, but using greenhouses.

Review overview

According to summer residents, who have already tested Pink Margari tomato in planting on their plots, this hybrid really justifies the hopes placed on it. Seedlings sprout rather quickly, gain strength, when transferred to open ground and greenhouses do not get sick, even if neighboring plants are affected. Fruiting is amicable and abundant - this is noted by all gardeners. The tomatoes themselves taste quite high too. And also the fruits have excellent commercial properties, they are already grown for sale by some farms.

The disadvantages of the new hybrid are quite obvious. According to summer residents, Pink Margari still needs to be tested by Russian climatic conditions. The purchase of seed is also a problem so far.At the same time, it is impossible to get offspring with the same characteristics by collecting seeds from the first generation hybrids, that is, it will not be possible to multiply the plantings on their own.
