This is the name of two varieties of tomatoes. The first indeterminate variety Stone flower, which is grown in the usual way outdoors or indoors. The second variety was registered in 2020 by the breeder Blokin-Mechtalin V.I.

The tomato is considered a hybrid crop. It is intended for growing in open and closed ground, in pots on the windowsill.

Description of the variety

Hybrid Stone flower is a dwarf crop. The bush is determinate, and its height is from 30 to 40 cm. The crown is compact, and the branches are slightly spreading, so the variety is so well suited for indoor cultivation. Although the bushes are dwarf, they still need to be tied to pegs to avoid breaking the stem under the weight of the fruit.

Tomato has few stepchildren, as well as leaves. The leaf plates are compact, well-developed, resilient. They are small, with a characteristic middle section, slightly corrugated, of the usual type. The color of the leaves is dark green.

The inflorescences of the hybrid are semi-complex and simple. Semi-complex inflorescence is characteristic only of the central stem and requires additional pollination. Without it, only 2-3 buds will form, which can fall off. A simple inflorescence does not require additional pollination and is typical for all side stems. The first brush appears at 7 leaves.

The formation of ovaries and shoots directly depends on the place of cultivation. In the open field, the indicators will be higher than at home.

From 18 to 25 fruits are formed on one cluster.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

Before planting seeds, you need to decide where exactly the culture will grow. For home cultivation, there is no standardized sowing time. The seedling will germinate normally in good light and warmth. And for planting in the ground, it is best to start sowing seeds in late March - early April.

Before sowing, the seeds are soaked in water, and then treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Fertile soil mixed with fertilizers is prepared in seedling boxes. The depth of the hole is small - only 3 cm. After sowing, the earth is poured abundantly with water and covered with a film. Since the plant is dwarf, it needs additional lighting for growth.

After a week, the seeds will hatch, and the film can be removed. Watering of young seedlings is carried out through a spray bottle 1-2 times a week. Top dressing is applied after watering in liquid form.

The dive of the Stone Flower variety is made twice. The first is when several strong leaves have formed at the stem. If the culture is grown at home, then in a month the seedlings will be dived into 5-8-liter pots. It is best to choose containers with a large diameter so that the bushes are comfortable.

For cultivation in soil, 10 days before planting, the seedlings are taken outside for acclimatization. In mid-May, at a daily temperature of +16 degrees, tomatoes can be transplanted. Ammonium nitrate can be poured into the bottom of the well to stimulate growth.

  • Top dressing is applied several times per season. After planting the seedlings in a permanent place, each bush is treated with nitrogen-containing minerals and a solution of nitrate. During the appearance of the ovaries, potash fertilizers are used, for example, potassium sulfate. Before harvesting, the plants are irrigated with a superphosphate solution.

  • The variety does not require pinching. It is best to form 2 stems, this will increase the yield.In June, when the plant takes root well, shoots that have formed below the third pair of leaves are removed.

Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist. In dry weather, when it does not rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
