If the soil on the backyard is not very fertile, and the climatic conditions are unfavorable, and you want to grow tomatoes, then you should pay attention to special varieties that quickly adapt to a capricious climate and poor soils. One of these is the early ripening variety of tomatoes Palace.

Breeding history of the variety

The nightshade crop was bred thanks to the many years of work by a group of domestic breeders (Nastenko, Gulkin and Kachainik). The variety was received in the 2000s, and entered into the State Register. Approved for use in 2013. Tomatoes are recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. Growing geography - all climatic zones of the Russian Federation.

Description of the variety

Seed culture Dvortsovy is an indeterminate tall shrub. The plant reaches a height of 180-200 cm (slightly lower in open soils). An adult bush has a developed root system, a powerful trunk and rather spreading stems with abundant thickening of dark green foliage. Farmers recommend the timely formation of bushes in 1-2 stems. Due to the tallness of the plant, one cannot do without a garter to the supports, otherwise the stems will break under the weight of huge fruits.

The main qualities of the fruit

Dvortsovy tomato fruits are classified as large. On average, the mass of a tomato is 200-300 grams, and sometimes reaches 600. The fruits have a flat-round shape with pronounced ribbing, a uniform bright red color and a glossy peel. In an immature state, tomatoes are light green in color with a dark speck at the base. The skin of tomatoes of medium density with ideal smoothness, which protects the fruit from cracking. Tomatoes tolerate transportation well, and the storage time is 3-4 weeks.

Taste characteristics

The giant tomato is characterized by incredibly high taste. It is very aromatic, spicy and fresh notes are felt. The fruit has a sweet-sour taste, rich, characterized by sugar content. The tomato pulp is moderately fleshy, juicy, tasty, has an unusual greenish-red color in the section. In addition, the pulp contains virtually no seeds. The variety is suitable for eating fresh fruits, as well as for processing into sauces, mashed potatoes, salads.

Ripening and fruiting

The type of tomato Dvortsovy belongs to the early class. After the first shoots appear, 110 days pass before the fruit is tasted. Ripening proceeds gradually, which will allow you to enjoy fresh tomatoes for a long time. Despite the weightiness, tomatoes do not crumble when ripe. The first tomatoes can be tasted from late July, early August. The dates may be shifted due to the peculiarities of the climate.

Yield

The seed crop is highly productive. With proper care, the crops will certainly delight you with their abundance. On average, up to 13-14 kg of fruits are harvested from 1 m2.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

Seed material for seedlings is recommended to be planted after March 15 (60-65 days before planting on the site). The seed is preliminarily disinfected in a solution of potassium permanganate and moistened in a growth activator. Sowing is recommended to be carried out in a special substrate (sod soil, coarse sand and peat). The room where the seedlings will be grown must be well lit.Picking (seating in separate cups / pots) is carried out at a time when there are 2-3 true leaves on the bush.

Planting bushes in open ground is done in warm weather, when the air temperature is stable above 15-18 degrees. Most often, this is the period from May 15 to June 5. You need to plant seedlings in the evening, as well as in cloudy weather, when there is no scorching sun.

Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener can harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.

Landing scheme

It is recommended to plant no more than 3 bushes per 1 m2. The landing pattern is 40x60 centimeters.

Planting a tomato is a very important and painstaking business. In order to get a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to competently approach the issue of planting. When planting a tomato in the ground, it is necessary to take into account many factors - correctly determine the timing, prepare the soil, correctly calculate the distance between plants, take into account the rules of crop rotation.

Growing and care

First, the site is pre-cleaned, dug up so that the soil is loose and can breathe well. It is recommended to pour wood ash into the seedling holes.

Crop care consists of a chain of measures: regular irrigation with settled water, frequent loosening of the soil, top dressing, pinching, tying bushes to supports, as well as preventive measures.

Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist. In dry weather, when it does not rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
The methods of tying tomato bushes can vary significantly, depending on the availability of available material, the method of fixation, and also the variety. In general, it is recommended to adhere to the following scheme: first, the central stems are grabbed, and then, as the fruits ripen, the lateral branches.
One of the important conditions for tomato agricultural technology is the correct formation of the bush. The formation of tomato bushes means performing the following steps: pinching, pinching, trimming the leaves, normalizing the ovaries.

A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.

It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.

Disease and pest resistance

The culture has a high immunity to many diseases and viruses, but one must not forget about preventive spraying.

Treatment and prevention of diseases and pests
When growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, diseases often occur due to a violation of the temperature regime and excessive humidity. The most common diseases are fungal (late blight, cladosporium, rot).
The fight against diseases and pests of tomatoes in open areas can be quite difficult. This is because nightshades are exposed to a wide variety of pathogens and insect pests.

Resistant to adverse weather conditions

The culture perfectly adapts to all weather disasters, be it drought, heat or sudden temperature fluctuations.

Growing regions

The variety is cultivated for all growing regions.
