The red Bugai tomato was bred not so long ago, but due to its excellent taste, the large size of the tomatoes and the ability of the fruit to maintain its integrity, a sufficient number of gardeners fell in love with it.

Breeding history

The homeland of this variety is Siberia. It was bred by breeders Dederko V.N. and Postnikova O.V. It is considered a new young type of tomato, was first approved for use in 2014. It was developed for greenhouse and outdoor cultivation. It got its unique name for the color and size of the fruit.

Description of the variety

The bush is medium-sized in structure, with a large trunk thickness. It can hold a fairly large weight of the fruit. Up to 5 tomatoes are formed on one branch. When flowering, forms simple inflorescences. It is a determinant variety. It is capable of reaching 1.5 meters in height, but then stops growing.

The main qualities of the fruit

Differs in very large size and weight of fruits up to 1 kilogram. Such indicators of mass are usually at the very first harvest. Further, they can drop to 305 grams. Which is also a rather big number. Tomatoes are flat-round in shape, with small ribs. They stand out in bright red with a small dark spot at the edge of the peduncle. The pulp of the fruits of the Bugai is tender, covered with a strong skin.
