Tomato Barin belongs to hybrid varieties, therefore it has tasty fruits and high technical characteristics. It is popular not only among summer residents, but also among industrialists.

Breeding history

The authorship of the development of the Barin hybrid belongs to Lukyanenko A. N., Dubinin S. V., Dubinina I. N. They worked and conducted research on crossing in LLC "SeDeK". The variety was first approved for use in 2009.

Description of the variety

The bush is medium-sized, determinate and reaches 80 centimeters in height. It is a very powerful plant, abundantly overgrown with large dark green leaves. It blooms with simple inflorescences. The peduncle has an articulation. Up to 5 large fruits are formed on one cluster.

This tomato variety is suitable for growing on private household farms, as well as for industrial and technical purposes. Has an increased keeping quality - up to 45 days.

The main qualities of the fruit

The fruits of the Barin tomato are large in size. When they reach their full maturity, they become bright red in color. Unripe tomatoes are green in color. Their shape is flat-round. The weight of one tomato reaches 200-300 g. The pulp is fleshy, located under the smooth glossy skin.

Taste characteristics

The variety has a classic tomato flavor, with sweetness interspersed with subtle sourness.

Ripening and fruiting

It is a mid-season vegetable crop. The ripening period ranges from 110 to 115 days.

Yield

It has a fairly high yield, which varies depending on the type of cultivation:

  • in open ground - from 80-90 t / ha and up to 120 t / ha;
  • in film shelters - 9-12 kg / m2.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

From planting seeds to planting seedlings in the ground, 55 days pass. Young plants of this age can already be planted from small containers into prepared soil. It is better to start growing seeds for seedlings in early April. Before planting, they must be decontaminated.

Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.

Landing scheme

5-6 plants are planted per square meter of soil for proper growth and good fruiting. The soil for seeds and seedlings must be enriched with nutrients. Leave about 40-50 centimeters between the bushes. The rows are placed at the same distance.

Planting a tomato is a very important and painstaking business. In order to get a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to competently approach the issue of planting. When planting a tomato in the ground, it is necessary to take into account many factors - correctly determine the timing, prepare the soil, correctly calculate the distance between plants, take into account the rules of crop rotation.

Growing and care

The variety is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses and outdoors. When caring for this plant, you should provide the right conditions for high-quality fruiting:

  • illumination should be at least 14 hours a day;
  • it is required to maintain the correct temperature and humidity;
  • it is necessary to carry out timely watering with water at room temperature;
  • feeding is given 3 times per season;
  • for this variety, pinching and garter are important in order to avoid falling and fragility of plants
Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist. In dry weather, when there is no rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
The methods of tying tomato bushes can vary significantly, depending on the availability of available material, the method of fixation, and also the variety. In general, it is recommended to adhere to the following scheme: first, the central stems are grabbed, and then, as the fruits ripen, the lateral branches.
One of the important conditions for tomato agricultural technology is the correct formation of the bush. The formation of tomato bushes means performing the following steps: pinching, pinching, trimming the leaves, normalizing the ovaries.

A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.

It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.

Disease and pest resistance

The variety is highly resistant to verticillium and tobacco mosaic virus, as well as to diseases such as fusarium wilt. These qualities were specially provided for by breeders.

Treatment and prevention of diseases and pests
When growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, diseases often occur due to a violation of the temperature regime and excessive humidity. The most common diseases are fungal (late blight, cladosporium, rot).
The fight against diseases and pests of tomatoes in open areas can be quite difficult. This is because nightshades are exposed to a wide variety of pathogens and insect pests.

Resistant to adverse weather conditions

The variety can be grown in southern regions with a very warm climate, as its characteristics have increased heat resistance. The plant survives and bears fruit under rather extreme conditions.

Growing regions

This variety can be grown by gardeners throughout our country. It takes root well in regions with different climatic conditions.

Tomato Barin has excellent characteristics for production on an industrial scale. It has a very good keeping quality, a glossy dense skin that does not undergo cracking, it tolerates transportation well. With all these qualities, the variety has a large size and excellent fruit taste.
