The beautiful pool with crystal clear water is the result of a lot of effort. In order to achieve this, it is necessary not only to collect garbage from the surface of the water, but also to carry out a number of other procedures. Despite the fact that pools require manual cleaning, a number of devices installed in the kit take on the main work of water purification. Read about how this modern hydraulic structure works, about the intricacies of self-equipping the pool, as well as about caring for it in this article.

The minimum set of equipment for different types of pools

In this article, we will look at a number of equipment that should be equipped with stationary pool... It is a fairly solid structure, its base is most often concrete, so its equipment and construction must be taken seriously. Such a pool cannot be moved, and repairs if installed incorrectly will require considerable effort.

It is believed that each owner can choose the equipment with which he can equip the pool, at his discretion. However, there is a minimum set of devices required for its functioning. They carry out good water treatment (a process whose purpose is to bring water to a composition that meets sanitary and hygienic standards). The list of devices includes:

  1. devices responsible for water disinfection;
  2. heating system;
  3. pumping and filtering devices;
  4. lamps;
  5. ladder;
  6. side rails.

If you plan to equip not an outdoor pool, but, for example, a similar structure in a bathhouse, then a number of installations are added to this list:

  1. air ventilation system;
  2. dehumidifier.

In a regular outdoor pool, water filtration and purification can be carried out once every 24 hours.

However, this can be done only if this "reservoir" is not used frequently, as well as in the presence of calm weather. With frequent bathing, especially in hot weather, water filtration installations should work for about 18 hours a day.

The set of devices for the jacuzzi is much smaller than for the pool. Among the main devices required for installation in this case, it is possible to note a hydraulic pump, a jet, a water intake, as well as a number of nozzles directing water.

A children's pool can be the cheapest in terms of the cost of equipping it with devices. For low inflatable models, just one filling hose will be enough.

It should be noted right away that the set of all subsequent devices that will be installed is determined even during the design of the structure, and not at the construction stage.

What do you need to purify and filter water?

Ideally, all installed disinfection devices should make the water in the pool drinkable, but in reality this does not happen. Installations responsible for water purification and filtration are the "heart" of the pool. If this equipment breaks down, it is undesirable to use the pool. The water in it will deteriorate sharply in quality.

The basis of water purification, as you know, is ordinary filtration... The filters are propylene cartridges or sand-glass analogs. Other materials used for filtration include diatomite, anthracite chips, zeolite and others.The service life of such equipment is about 5 years.

Another equally important part of such equipment is pump. Most often, it is quite simple in terms of the mechanism of its work - screw or centrifugal. In order to avoid jamming of the impeller, a pre-filter is installed on the pump. It prevents relatively large objects from being sucked in by the pump. Filters, like prefilters, require regular replacement. Their average life is about 2000 hours.

Also, the set of this equipment includes devices that saturate water with chlorine or free ozone. The latter are cheaper and more efficient. An analogue to them can be bactericidal ultraviolet lamps. This also includes a biofloat with a bactericidal tablet, which is gradually washed out of it while in water.

An important factor is the influence of ventilation equipment, which is installed in the pools located in the room.

It maintains the required ambient temperature (1-2 degrees higher than that of water). Without this equipment, the entire water filtration process can come to naught.

Heating system

There are several types of pool heating systems.

  1. First of all, this is the heating system of the house itself. An additional heat exchanger is connected to it, through which water is pumped. Water is heated by burning coal or gas.
  2. Also, a special electric heater can heat the water in the pool.... It is similar to a water heating boiler that is installed in apartments or houses. It is the most comfortable to use, but its installation requires a special permit from Energonadzor. For such a system, it is mandatory to install high-quality insulation, grounding, as well as an RCD. For pools where seawater is used, titanium models must be installed.
  3. A more environmentally friendly way to heat your pool water is to use solar panels. They have low power and not very high efficiency, however, as a rule, this is enough to heat a small pool.

For most of these buildings outdoors, it is not installed heating system. The water in the pool is heated by the sun's rays.

Quite often, heating is very costly. Therefore, the pool bowl is covered with a black polyester film. It not only helps to keep warm, but it can also shorten the heating time of the pool.

Protective coatings

The modern market offers a large selection of protective coatings for pool bowls. Now they are a product of almost mass production. They stand out for their quality and durability with proper care. They are often referred to as "floating blankets" or "floating blinds". You can choose the color of the protective coating to your taste. For ease of use, you can also purchase roller for floating bedspread included. The rollers can be both stationary and mobile.

Pumping equipment

We have already mentioned the pumps above, and now we will dwell on them in more detail. Their task is to ensure the consistency of fluid circulation. Before purchasing a pump, you need to know which one you need - for a public or private pool. The first has more power than the second. Pumps are divided, as already mentioned, into two main types - self-priming (centrifugal) and with normal suction (screw). The former are always installed above the level of the water table. They are able to "lift" water up to 3 meters. Such a pump works as follows: first, the liquid is pumped from the pool into the skimmer, and then into the filter, then it is sent back to the pool.

The second type of pump is designed to create fountains or bubbles. Such a device is also installed on slides to create a directed flow of water.They can also create a slight undercurrent inside the pool.

Slides and stairs

The main characteristic when selecting stairs and slides should be reliability and safety when launching into the water. Usually, the body of modern models of stairs is made of steel.

The material for the production of slides is most often fiberglass. Slides can be selected depending on the percentage of inclination, which is indicated in the instructions. Private pools are often equipped with colorful, low-rise children's slides.

Optional accessories

Lighting is quite important for the pool. Lamps are contour, remote. The latter can be installed only at a distance of 1.5 meters or more from the sides of the pool and 2 meters above the mirror. Sometimes light from these luminaires is directed onto reflective surfaces that scatter it. The contour lamps are designed to illuminate the sides of the pool.

An underwater vacuum cleaner is also required. It is needed in order to suck water with mud or other biological deposits from the bottom of the pool.

You also need to additionally purchase a net for the pool. It can be used to collect debris from the surface of the mirror. A skimmer is used to collect larger debris.

How to choose the right one?

First of all, a scheme is drawn up for the construction of the entire pool with additional installations. The selection of materials, as well as their cost, calculation - all this is compiled later by an experienced engineer-estimator.

In general, structural design includes the following stages.

  1. Determination of the size of the bowl. This, as a rule, is directly related to the financial capabilities of the owner, as well as to the territory on which the pool will be located.
  2. The volume of the bowl is selected equipment depending on the capacity of each device.
  3. Various additional accessories and installations.
  4. Produced calculation of all the necessary materials.

Some of the equipment is selected and installed at the time the pool bowl is being built. During construction, some conditions may change, and the equipment noted in the estimate will require replacement or other installation. In particular, these are pipelines for heating and water circulation systems. Also, immediately during this process, the wiring for the luminaires is carried out.

The main thing in equipping the pool is to carry out a thorough installation of the remote block, with which it will be possible to control all the pool systems.

The minimum set of equipment for the pool is presented below.
