  • With sugar. To prepare a sweet mixture, 100 grams of fresh yeast is diluted in a liter of warm water. Add 2 teaspoons of sugar or unnecessary candied jam there. All these ingredients are mixed and sent to a warm place. Once the product is fermented, it must be diluted with water and used immediately for watering. It is impossible to store such a solution.
  • With greens. This is an improved version of the classic herbal tea. Preparing such a fertilizer is very simple. Chopped greens are poured into a large barrel. The grass is poured with warm water. The product is left to ferment for three weeks. Next, the infusion is filtered and 200 grams of dry yeast is added to a container with liquid. After that, the fertilizer is insisted for another week. The finished product must be diluted. A liter of liquid is poured into a bucket, after which warm water is added there. You can spray roses immediately after preparing the solution.

You need to use such fertilizers on warm days. In cold soil, the yeast will simply die, so there will be no sense in feeding.

Ash

For plant feeding, you can use only pure ash obtained from burning branches or plant residues. It can be applied dry to the soil. In this case, it is buried in the ground, and the site is immediately watered.

Most often, the banana peel is embedded in the soil fresh. In order not to harm the plants, it is important to wash it first. It is also advisable to remove flaky white parts from the base of the peel. It is in them that toxins usually accumulate.

You can also prepare a light granular fertilizer from the peel. To do this, it is chopped with a knife and dried in the oven. The skins prepared in this way must be ground into powder. It can be used dry. It is enough to pour just one tablespoon of powder under each bush.

Onion peel

This tool is also popular among gardeners. It contains many vitamins and phytoncides. Onion peels are most often used if the flower does not grow well or suffers from pest attacks. For feeding roses, you can use the following products prepared on the basis of onion peels.

How to fertilize at different periods?

In order for roses in the country to look beautiful at all stages of development, the gardener needs to adhere to a certain scheme when feeding them.

When landing

Loamy soil is best for planting roses. It retains moisture well. When planting, a small amount of fertilizer containing phosphorus is embedded in the soil. If the plant lacks this element, it develops slowly. Therefore, skipping this top dressing is not recommended.

In spring and summer

You need to pay attention to fertilizing roses in the spring. It is advisable to do this every 15-20 days. For the first time, the flowers are fed after the first pruning. The second time - during the appearance of young leaves. The third time, the roses will need to be fed at the moment when the buds begin to open. This usually happens in May-June. By feeding flowers on this schedule, you can achieve lush flowering of the bushes. In spring and summer, garden plants need fertilizers containing nitrogen and phosphorus. At the end of the season, potassium salt is also added to the soil.

In autumn

Autumn subcrustations are aimed at preparing plants for winter. They strengthen plants and help them survive frost.... In the fall, roses are fed 1-2 times. As a rule, the first time it is done in early September, the second - at the end of the month. During this time, nitrogen fertilizers are not used. If you add them to the soil before frost, the plant will grow. This will make it much more difficult for him to survive the winter. Preparing roses for the dormant period, the flowers are fed with phosphorus, potassium and calcium. The soil next to the stem can also be mulched with onion skins or manure. In this case, nutrients will come to the roots during the entire cold season.

When feeding plants, it is also important to take into account the individual characteristics of different types of roses.

  • Semi-plaited... Flowers with an abundance of stems and foliage are difficult to survive the winter. Therefore, in late summer or early spring, they are heavily fed. Usually, universal nutritional complexes are used for this.
  • Climbing... Beautiful climbing roses respond best to organic feeding. In spring and summer, they are fertilized with manure and herbal infusions. In summer, ash-based dressings are used.
  • Roses of Grandiflora... This type of flower loves slightly acidic soil. Therefore, when planting roses in the soil, it is recommended to add ash or manure.
  • Groundcover... These roses are often affected by fungal diseases. To prevent this from happening, it is recommended to feed them with urea. It is worth applying such fertilizer in the spring.

Timely and correct feeding of plants helps to make the rose garden beautiful and very bright. Therefore, you should not ignore such a simple procedure.
