To have a land plot for a summer residence outside the city is a natural desire of the townspeople. Own vegetables and fruits, fresh air and an active lifestyle are now in short supply. Even on a bare site, while there is no house, you can equip something for yourself, including a simple outdoor brick oven, and only later you should think about more serious models of a brazier with awnings and roofs.

Appointment

Country ovens on the street are designed so that the owners have something to cook their food on. Even if they go to the "village house" for two days off, they will need to eat more than once. You can also warm water for washing or showering on the stove. A simple stove in the country is also useful in order to warm up in cool weather or dry clothes.

But the brazier oven is not just a means for heating dinner, frying potatoes or boiling water - it is already a device with several functions.

In such an oven, you can do the following:

  • Boil water, cook soups and cereals - that is, everything that is done in an elementary street oven. You can cook in any weather, while in the simplest open stove in the rain you will not be able to cook: the fire will be flooded with water, and with it the pot of food.
  • Soar.
  • Fry. For example, barbecue or barbecue on coals or wood.
  • Smoke meat, fish or lard.

To create comfort over the stove, you can build a canopy - it will not only cover a person from the rain while cooking, but also save you from the sun on a hot day.

Peculiarities

A feature of the device with a barbecue, which distinguishes it from simple oven options, is its versatility. Independence from the weather can be attributed to the design features - the hearths (furnaces) of such a device are hidden and resemble fireplaces.

The design features include the size of the models, reaching a length of several meters (the simplest model with two fireboxes is at least 2.5 m). The height of the stove in a compact version of two fireboxes together with a chimney reaches 3 m and even more. Therefore, the grill oven must be installed on a strong reinforced concrete foundation.

Types of structures

In the open air, when the suburban area is being arranged, it is enough to install the simplest version of a street barbecue. This brick device, 5 or 6 rows high, two and a half bricks wide and four long, is a temporary structure. It weighs little, so no foundation is required. For such a furnace, you should find a flat area with dry soil (but not sand), tamp it down to a good density and lay out brick walls without any binding materials.

At the bottom of the resulting furnace, you can put a thin reinforced concrete or cast iron slab. Air will flow to the fire through the leaks in the brickwork. The hearth is inside, barbecue sticks are placed on top directly on the walls of the masonry or the barbecue grill. On the wire shelf, you can cook simple meals in a pan or in a saucepan. It is advisable to make a canopy over such a device to protect the brazier from precipitation and wind.

Often, outdoor cast-iron stoves with a roof are arranged in dachas. The roof is built after the "cast iron" with a pipe is installed. If you do the opposite, you will either have to cut through the roof for the pipe, or let the pipe go around the canopy (with knees). This remark is true for any stove devices in rooms or sheds.

The most popular among summer residents are the designs of barbecues in gazebos. Some of these ideas may be of interest to most summer residents.

  • Prefabricated furnace complex. Suitable for large gazebos with the prospect of winter residence in the country. The complex includes a stove, barbecue and auxiliary devices: a table top, a sink, built-in compartments for firewood or coal, shelves for dishes and devices for frying, cooking, as well as a corner for placing fireplace accessories. A unique oven, the tandoor, is sometimes introduced into the complex. With the help of such a device, you can bake not only delicious Asian tortillas - it can replace a barbecue, barbecue and even a smokehouse.
  • Brazier stove with the design and functions of a Russian stove. A very complex design, which only a professional stove-maker can do. It is best to arrange it in a permanent structure with a good foundation and a reliable roof.
  • An expensive model of a stove with three fireboxes. Such a device is a compact two-level option, which is convenient and practical. Suitable for spacious and high arbors. Here are combined options for cooking stoves with furnaces of various functions: barbecue and smokehouse, barbecue and smokehouse, barbecue and Pompeian oven (pizza oven).
  • Inexpensive is the factory-assembled metal model. It can be used both permanently in gazebos and in a portable form in the open air. When these ovens are used only indoors, they are often bricked for safety and beautiful design.
  • Fireplaces have the same design, as the furnaces of stoves, but they have a different purpose. Models of fireplace stoves are a good solution when combining the functions of cooking and heating the room. Such models with a chimney exist only for closed-type outdoor gazebos. For open gazebos and terraces, these devices are impractical - the heat from the fireplace in windy weather will not remain.

Models of ready-made stoves with barbecue have different solutions - they are outdoor, garden, with and without awnings. You can also find options with chimneys of different designs, with and without pipes, expensive and budgetary. But if the owner has hands and material, then it will not be difficult to equip his dacha with a beautiful and convenient stove device.

Manufacturing materials

For the manufacture of a temporary barbecue oven on a dense and level plot of land open type will require the following material:

  • refractory (oven) bricks - 50 pcs.;
  • barbecue grill;
  • a cast iron sheet measuring 100x70 cm for the base of the hearth (a thin-walled, but strong, reinforced concrete slab is also suitable).

    Instead of setting up a hearth, on the ground, some specialists raise 4 columns of silicate bricks in the form of columns with a height of several rows, lay a cast-iron or reinforced concrete base sheet on them, and lay a furnace on this sheet.

    It is more convenient to work with such a grill - you do not need to bend over, kindling a fire, and coal or firewood can be kept under the stove itself (between the columns).

    For serious multifunctional furnace complexes, the following materials will be required:

    • refractory bricks for masonry of high-temperature elements of the complex (furnaces and nearby structures);
    • good fired red brick for laying out less hot elements of the furnace;
    • fireclay bricks for laying some of the internal parts of the device;
    • reinforced concrete slabs for frame structures, partitions, shelves;
    • cast iron hob for the cooking oven;
    • cast iron grates;
    • steel or cast iron blower doors complete with frames;
    • oven glue;
    • mixtures of clay and cement for the preparation of masonry mortar;
    • knitting wire for laying out walls and partitions;
    • a set of materials for the construction of the foundation for the complex.

    Another owner will think about such a not quite complete list of the necessary material and decide to purchase a ready-made version, which will also have to tinker a lot.But there will be less headache from the inevitable surprises in the process of installation work with the use of furnace elements, building and consumables collected in different places.

    Accommodation

    If it is decided to arrange a brazier oven on your site, then regardless of the type of oven chosen, first of all, you need to think about fire safety - the place of its installation. It should be understood that any device with an open fire, with a careless attitude to its placement and rules of use, threatens serious burns, large fires, as a result of which harm to human health (often fatal), surrounding buildings and nature.

    It is safest to place a resting place with barbecue on an area that is located at a considerable distance from the main buildings (country house, outbuildings, premises with animals and birds). But this is not always convenient, especially for an open street brazier and those models that are under the roof, but do not have electricity, running water and other amenities of civilization.

    Gazebos with barbecues can be placed on the same foundation with the house and under the same roof. But in this case, you should adhere to all fire safety requirements for buildings and residential premises.

    It is not recommended to place such devices in the following places:

    • next to the storage area for firewood, hay, lumber and their waste;
    • near dry grass, fire hazardous waste;
    • close to fences and walls;
    • directly under trees and hanging branches.

    When installing a collapsible barbecue in the garden or on the street, you need to take into account the speed and direction of the wind. Smoke should not go towards neighboring buildings and houses, and in cases of a stationary outdoor barbecue (including in a gazebo), you should ask about the local "wind rose" and build a protective screen from the side of the most possible "wind-blowing". There are special portable shields on the market, which are the best solution to the problem of wind direction.

    You also need to take care of the convenience of using the stove in the chosen place of the site.

    Here the following issues should be resolved:

    • a free approach to the device from at least two sides, because it is always more convenient and more fun to cook food with an assistant;
    • there should be a place for a table and seating nearby;
    • the possibility of providing the recreation area with clean water and lighting;
    • convenient passage to the place from the house.

    You should also consider the following points:

    • how much time is supposed to be spent in the country (meaning constantly or only in the summer) - the installation of the stove in a closed room or in an open gazebo depends on this;
    • how many people the recreation area is calculated for;
    • what design to choose for the barbecue area and gazebo.

    Each owner will probably still have a lot of questions on the topics of the device and the choice of stoves, but they can already be solved in the process of creating an interior.

    Style and design

    It is better to equip the summer kitchen area with barbecue and cooking stove in the country house taking into account the already existing natural landscape. Even a beautiful hedge with nearby trees can be a great starting point for a stylish seating area.

    The view of the river or pond also brings to mind the original plan associated with the surrounding view. The main thing in the arrangement is that the design of the recreation area should be in harmony with the surrounding landscape and approach the style of home decoration. If there is no house structure yet, then the plan of the barbecue site needs to be developed in the same style as the plan of the future house and adjacent territories.

    In more difficult circumstances, when there is neither a home, nor the beauty of the landscape around, there is only one way out - to choose the style direction of the site and housing arrangement to your liking. Nowadays, landscape designs of smooth, fluid lines using natural wood and stone, as well as the Art Nouveau style with the obligatory presence of forged elements are popular.

    Gazebos can be of different shapes - from round to polygonal options, and barbecues - cast iron, forged, brick or metal. The main thing is to maintain the chosen style.
