Peculiarities

A collapsible garden house is a unique design that is quickly assembled and disassembled like a constructor. Today, there are many models of such buildings on the market that are sold at an affordable price. In addition, the installation of country houses is much cheaper than conventional construction, since their installation does not require a massive and expensive foundation. The main advantages of these buildings also include such moments.

  • Simple interior and exterior decoration. Prefabricated country houses do not need filling and leveling of the walls. They are produced in such a form that when arranging it, it is enough to arrange furniture and make several accents in the design.
  • Convenient layout. Manufacturers present a huge selection of designs, each of which has its own room layout details. Therefore, there is no need to do the planning yourself.
  • Multifunctionality. Prefabricated houses for summer cottages can be both residential and non-residential. In addition, such buildings fit perfectly into the overall design of the site, acting as its original decoration.
  • Low weight. Thanks to this characteristic, installation work is easy. In addition, it makes it easier to transport structures from one place to another.
  • Environmental friendliness. Collapsible housing is usually assembled from wood, which guarantees excellent air exchange and is considered absolutely harmless to human health.

As for the shortcomings, they also exist. Despite the fact that such structures are sold inexpensively, you need to pay attention to the quality of the material from which they are made. There are often fakes on the market that are produced by unscrupulous manufacturers from low-quality raw materials, as a result, such prefabricated houses do not last long.

Due to the fact that the frame consists of separate parts, the structure must be well insulated. If this is not done, then the premises will be cold in winter. The collapsible houses also have low sound insulation.

Prefabricated country houses first appeared abroad, but today such structures can be found all over the world. They are conventionally divided into types: container, modular, frame, from SIP panels. Each of these types differs in its performance characteristics and installation method.

Container models

They are produced ready-made; installation requires a few simple steps. As a rule, such structures are equipped with built-in electrical wiring, a shower cabin, a kitchen and a bathroom. When ordering such buildings, you can individually discuss options for interior decoration with the manufacturer, but their final price will depend on this. For example, if you additionally equip the container with a sewage system, a sink and a countertop, then the cost will increase significantly. If the design does not provide for the presence of a centralized water supply, then you can independently install a pump with a water reservoir, the insertion into the engineering systems should be done by the manufacturer.

The outer finishing of container houses is usually done with sheets of profiled steel, which is additionally covered with a protective layer. The color scheme can be different, it all depends on the personal preferences of the customer. The manufacturer also equips the panels with thermal insulation material.

The main advantage of containers is that their design can consist of several modules that can be placed in various options. Most often this is a one-story building, consisting of several sequentially located blocks.

There are also models from which you can build 2 floors by installing containers in 2 tiers. Garden structures with an upper terrace look beautiful. It is difficult to assemble such houses with your own hands, so you do not need to order them ready-made. The only thing is that, while fulfilling the requirements of GOST and SNiP, it is important to adhere to all installation rules.

If desired, the outer cladding is performed not only with profiled sheets, but also with clapboard, having previously insulated the walls with expanded polystyrene or mineral wool.

Wireframe Models

In such models, the assembly is carried out on a pre-fabricated frame, which is sheathed with finished panels. As a rule, such designs are produced with a veranda, terrace or equipped attic. The frame is usually assembled from a bar, sometimes support frames are used, welded from metal profiles. For the exterior decoration of the building, it is recommended to choose chipboard, OSB slabs or lining.

The frame should be assembled only from well-dried wood, especially for doorways, window frames and diagonal braces, on which the strength of the structure depends.

Prefabricated houses from SIP panels

Unlike previous options, they are of higher quality and much warmer than brick buildings. In addition, such structures can easily tolerate the temperature regime from -50 to +50 C. The installation of structures made of self-supporting insulated wire panels is carried out on a pile foundation, the floors of the first floor in them simultaneously serve as a floor. The panels are fastened to each other using a mounting bar, this avoids the appearance of cold bridges. The disadvantages of these houses include only the high cost.

How to choose?

For quick installation of folding structures, it is best to choose ready-made containers.
  • Assembly technology. If you plan to do the installation yourself, then it is advisable to purchase structures that do not require the use of additional construction equipment and installation skills.
  • Price. It depends on the complexity of the structures and the type of additional finishing. A country house should be a budget option.
  • Layout. Models equipped with additional rooms are considered a good choice. In the future, they can be easily added to housing and used as a guest house.
  • Lifetime. As a rule, all prefabricated structures can last no more than 30 years in a summer cottage. If you plan to operate them longer, then you need to give preference to capital structures.
