Presowing soil preparation involves many works, including loosening, tilling and applying granular or free-flowing fertilizers. A special cultivator KRN helps to quickly and efficiently cope with these tasks. It is characterized by versatility, ease of use and long service life.

Peculiarities

The inter-row mounted cultivator is a technique designed for cultivating the soil between the rows of planted corn, beets, sunflowers and other crops. The equipment removes weeds well and fluffs up the earth crust, protecting it from moisture loss. The width of the coverage of the cultivated area with such a unit depends on its modification, the deepening does not exceed 20 cm. All models of cultivators are produced with a folding structure, which simplifies their transportation.

In addition, manufacturers supplement the device with all the necessary set of attachments and trailed equipment, consisting of hillers, volumetric bins for the introduction of granular and loose dressings, a hydraulic drive and track eradicators.

Row model specifications

The cultivator KRN 5.6 looks like a mounted mechanized technique. The decoding "KRN" means a mounted cultivator plant feeder. The main element in the design is considered to be a bar made of timber; two bearing rods, a hitch lock, a transport device and 9 working sections are fixed to it. This type of equipment is used for complex processing of 8 row crops of row crops, which are planted with an interval between rows of 600, 700 and 900 mm.

This model also features rubber rollers and large, high-pressure tires., which allows you to independently clean from dirt. The cultivator can be used for both partial and full cultivation. The procedure for adjusting the legs is simple: one-sided flat-cutting elements or lancet legs are exposed. The unit is usually attached to tractors of the 14 to 20 kN class. The device is well aggregated with row-crop machinery of the MTZ100 / 102, MTZ142 and MTZ-80/82 brands.

The cultivator KRN 5.6 is produced in two variations: with hard-welded metal and forged paws. In addition, the modification includes feeding cutters, such cans and fertilizer dispensing equipment. Depending on the type of soil and the type of field work in the structure, you can use chisel shares (for deep loosening), longitudinal and lancet. If desired, the owner of the equipment has the opportunity to additionally complete it with arched bumpers, shields and needle discs. These devices are made by the manufacturer to order.

The unit is excellent for the care of the soil between the rows; for this purpose, weed plowshares are used, which are able to go deep into the ground in two planes to a depth of 6 to 10 cm.It is also used for cultivating the soil with a deepening of up to 160 mm, exposing special chisel teeth. Having all the necessary set of attachments with such a device, you can simultaneously carry out pre-sowing preparation of the site and fertilize with fertilizers.

The main working element of the apparatus is the sections attached to the timber. Each of them is provided with a special bracket and fixed to the frame and brackets.A unique fastening system allows you to adjust the installation of sections, choosing the width of the processed row spacing of 0.6 and 0.7 m. The front bracket is connected to the rear four-link mechanism, its upper device consists of two tails, reinforced with a strong screw tie. As for the lower section of the structure, it is represented by a reverse thrust, which is placed in the holes of both brackets.

All parts racks are fixed in the structure with locking bolts. The feeding block of the cultivator is represented by knives and fertilizer dispensers of the ATD-2 or AT-2A class, which are fixed to the base with metal brackets. This equipment is driven by a chain transmission transmitted from the supporting parts. In addition, each section of the unit is equipped with a transport chain, they serve as a limiter for them. In the working position, the device has dimensions 6480 × 2000 × 1960mm, in the transport position 2110 × 7110 × 2340 mm, its weight is 1270 kg.

The advantages of this modification include the following.

  • Reliable fastening of sections to the frame. Due to this, during operation, the dimension between the rows is constantly maintained.
  • Parallelogram section design. This increases the service life of the mechanism and protects it from contamination.
  • The presence of a copying wheel. This setting improves contour following regardless of soil moisture.
  • Multifunctionality. The device allows simultaneous cultivation, weed removal and fertilization.

As for the shortcomings, there are none, with the exception of the cost of equipment that owners of land plots with an average income level can afford.

Inter-row model specifications

The inter-row cultivator KRN 4.2 is produced for cultivating the land on which the planted crops are planted in 8 rows. As a rule, it is purchased for the care of sunflowers and corn, since these plants are sown with a distance between rows of 700 mm. The manufacturer completes the unit with a chisel, lancet jaws of 270 mm and one-sided scoring jaws with a thickness of 165 mm. In addition to the unit, the following equipment can be connected:

  • mounted hillers;
  • protective disk installations;
  • sharp paw pads;
  • compartment for applying dry and separately liquid fertilizers or herbicides.

The cultivator of this model perfectly copes with loosening the soil between the rows, at the same time destroying weeds. The design of the apparatus includes a parallelogram suspension, consisting of working sections. High pressure tires and unique rollers allow the attachment to clean up dirt build-up and make it easier to move around the site. The unit can be operated with the MTZ and 3 "Sarmat" row-crop equipment.

The design of the unit is represented by a frame to which sections are attached with a bracket and two clamps. Thanks to this fastening, the row spacing is securely fixed. The sections are made in the form of a parallelogram mechanism, in their cages there is a sintered bushing and an oiler for lubrication. The sections are also double protected against contamination. A special axle is mounted in the clips; traction plates are fixed to it on both sides. They prevent the frame from moving.

The working sections of the device are made in the form of strips measuring 10 × 60 mm, the distance between them is 42 mm. They give the structure additional rigidity and the ability to maintain a constant width from the device to the distance of the plants. The sections are fixed to a 60 × 40 mm rectangular pipe. Fertilizers are supplied in a metered manner, they are transferred to the fertilizer line from the bunker thanks to a polyamide coil. This installation maintains the accuracy of sowing, a uniform supply of fertilizer and completely excludes its spontaneous pouring out in an idle state.

Thanks to its design characteristics, this cultivator has an increased service life, and soil loosening is performed with a precisely set coverage width. The main advantage of the model is the presence of a lifting wheel, it is wide and allows high-quality copying of the soil, regardless of the level of moisture.

The capacity of the unit is from 2.5 to 3.7 hectares / hour. The tillage depth can be set from 3 to 14 cm. The KPH 4.2 cultivator performs seeding rates from 80 to 550 kg / ha. The dimensions of the equipment are 1590 × 4400 × 1250 mm, the weight is 1040 kg.

Operation and maintenance rules

Before starting to cultivate the soil, a certain adjustment of the cultivator must be carried out. To increase the loosening depth, the gauge wheel on each section is placed one level higher. The width of the protective zone also plays a huge role, the legs during movement should not damage the root system of the plants, therefore, depending on the growth of the crops, their width is reduced. Periodically, all structural details must be checked for serviceability, and in case of malfunctions, new spare parts must be installed.

To process the beds in one pass, the tractor must drive in such a way as to cover 6 rows at the same time. The cultivator at speed under its own weight easily enters the ground and with the blades of its paws begins to cut the roots of the weeds, raising the top layer of the soil.

If the paws are replaced with hillers, then the soil will evenly crumble into rows. To protect the crowns of tall plants in front of the support wheels, stem cutters should be installed.
