Cucumber Taganay

Cucumber Taganay is a hybrid variety obtained by Ural breeders. It is popular among owners of summer cottages and household plots with a small area, since even a small number of bushes allows for fairly high yields.

The Taganai cucumber hybrid was obtained on the basis of the Chelyabinsk breeding station in the agrofirm “MARS” (Chelyabinsk region) through selection, without the use of genetic modification. This culture is called a sprinter variety because of its high development rate: the plant shows intense branching, the main stem grows quite quickly. The bouquet-bearing form of fruiting demonstrates abundant fruit ovaries. Moreover, each inflorescence forms from 2 to 3 ovaries.

Taganay bushes have abundant branching. This inhibits the rapid growth of the main stem. Together with this, a powerful curtain is formed, which is responsible for abundant fruiting. The scourge of culture is half-open. Green leaf plates with a rough surface are of medium size, noticeable veins and long petioles.

Zelentsy are all aligned, the same, in the shape of a cylinder. The dark green rind is covered with large tubercles, the small thorns are usually white. The average size of cucumbers is 8-10 centimeters, and the weight is 110 grams.

The excellent taste of Taganay cucumbers is noted. The pulp is dense, crispy, there are no bitterness or voids. Zelentsy are universal in the way of use. Fresh cucumbers are taken for making salads, they are salted, pickled. Small specimens are used as pickles.

Taganay is a super early hybrid culture. The collection of the first zelents begins very early, already 37-38 days after germination.

The hybrid variety became famous for its high yield. On average, from 1 m2 on open land, you can collect up to 12 kg of greenery, in greenhouse conditions - up to 15 kg.

The hybrid is recommended for growing in all regions of the Russian Federation, including territories with unfavorable climatic conditions, such as the Urals and Siberia.

Taganay is a rather unpretentious cucumber crop. These cucumbers are grown in one of two ways: seedling or seed methods. So, the seeds of the hybrid should be planted on seedlings from March to April, and transplanted into the ground - already in May. With such a turnover, the first crop can be obtained in June.

For the described hybrid variety, it is better to choose an area where the soil will be sufficiently loose and airy. You can prepare the beds in advance. They must first be dug up, removing weeds, organic matter and mineral fertilizers. To improve the quality of the soil, it is optimal to use ash, as well as ammonium nitrate, which are applied in moderate doses.

Planting varietal cucumber should not be thickened. The recommended layout of plants on a plot / greenhouse is no more than 2 bushes per 1 sq. m.

The hybrid is sometimes grown in a spread, however, this method is possible in an ordinary garden bed. If the culture is grown in a greenhouse, it will require a mandatory lash tie.

Proper care helps the hybrid develop effectively. For example, at the stage of formation of ovaries, ripening of vegetables, plants must be watered quite often with settled warm water, as well as fed.Culture and pinching are required, and protection from pests.

Like almost all hybrid varieties, Taganay is resistant to most diseases of cucumber crops. It shows the highest resistance to powdery mildew, one of the most serious diseases of cucumbers. Thanks to this fact, many farmers manage to avoid losing part of the harvest.
