Cucumber Perfection itself lives up to its lush name. It has outstanding yield, resistance to cold and disease.

Description of the variety

Cucumber Perfection itself is a parthenocarpic hybrid of the agricultural firm "Mars", the seeds are supplied in the series "Uralsky Dachnik". Culture is not included in Rosreestr. The size of the fruit allows it to be classified as a gherkin.

Characteristics of the appearance of plants and zelents

The bush is medium-sized, the growth potential is up to 2.2 meters, it actively branches. The foliage is quite dense. The flowers are predominantly female. In one knot, from 3 to 6 flowers are tied.

Zelentsy are short, no more than 8-10 cm, bright green. The shape of the fruit is even, slightly tapering towards the end. The tuberosity is frequent, the thorns are white.

Purpose and taste of fruits

The taste is wonderful, without bitterness. The pulp is tender, juicy and crunchy. The skin is thin and firm. Cucumber is universal: it is eaten fresh, cut into salads, canned. In seaming, the fruits are ideal: even, calibrated, crispy, fragrant.

Maturation

Early hybrid, ripens 37-39 days after germination.

Yield

The yield is excellent - on average, up to 30 kg per 1 sq. m. This is an excellent indicator for any cucumber, including industrial. There are hybrids that can bring up to 50 kg from 1 sq. m, with high agricultural technology, you can remove up to 90 kg. However, even a yield of 15 kg per 1 sq. m is considered huge. The yield is friendly.

Growing regions

The hybrid variety was bred by a Siberian enterprise, therefore it is perfectly adapted to the conditions of the Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia. Nothing prevents you from growing a crop in other regions: the hybrid is hardy and productive.

Landing scheme

For 1 sq. m 2 plants are planted. Planting should not be thickened.

Growing and care

Cucumber is grown in two ways: seedling, planting seeds in the ground. The first method is used more often for greenhouses and getting very early harvests. Its disadvantage is that a very sparing transplant is needed. Cucumbers have an extremely sensitive root system.

Therefore, on personal household plots, the cucumber itself is often grown by direct sowing of seeds into the ground. Planting dates in this case: late May - early June.

It tolerates heat well, temperature changes, can grow in partial shade, but for good harvests it is better to provide the culture with a bright, sunny place, an even temperature.

Like all cucumbers, this hybrid variety enjoys abundant watering. The yield directly depends on the constant supply of moisture. In a dry summer, they water it every day, the soil should get wet by at least 40 cm. In extreme heat, watering is organized in the morning. If the weather is moderately hot and there is no time for watering, it is advisable to mulch the soil.

During the season, the plant easily reaches a height of 1 meter or more, a garter is necessary. It is also important to form the plant correctly. The first ovaries are cut off, all stepsons below 4 sheets are removed. The plant shows its qualities brighter with the growth of the stem: the higher - the more bunches of fruits.

After the first harvests have been taken, it is advisable to feed the plant with nitrogenous fertilizers. The side lashes will grow and bear fruit better. Spraying with boric acid is beneficial during flowering. Cucumber already has excellent setting, but this treatment will make the harvest even more abundant. Can be sprayed with an ash solution. This not only nourishes the plant, but also protects it from disease.

Preparation of the infusion: pour ash into a bucket through a sieve to 1/3 of the bucket height, pour boiling water, insist in a dark place for two days. Then mix well, filter. For watering for 1 bush, 500 ml of the finished infusion is used, it is diluted with water 2-3 times.

Important: top dressing with ash cannot be combined with nitrogenous top dressing.

Cucumbers are very fond of organic feeding. Use a solution of mullein, bird droppings, crushed shells, infusion of tops, banana peels.

The classic scheme assumes 4 top dressing per summer.

  1. When the 5th sheet appears. This is 2 weeks after disembarking the seedlings to a permanent place.

  2. During the period of bud formation.

  3. During the active flowering period.

  4. Before or after the first harvest.

Feeding cucumbers is a creative process. The scheme is adjusted for themselves and for the initial conditions. On warm ridges in a cloudy summer, you can do with just spraying on a leaf.

If there is no time for a complex feeding scheme, a period of mass flowering is chosen, and watered with organic matter: 300-500 ml of mullein per bucket of water, infusion of bird droppings at the rate of 1 part of droppings per 15 parts of water.

Soil requirements

Cucumber Perfection itself is unpretentious, but prefers very loose, well-drying light soil. Cucumbers are demanding on the nutritional value of the soil, so it is best to grow them on a multilayer ridge of fresh manure, humus and garden soil. Too acidic soils are deoxidized with chalk, dolomite flour, slaked lime or sifted ash.

In order to collect strong, tasty and beautiful cucumbers on your site, you need to make top dressing. Lack of nutrients can negatively affect the appearance of the plant and significantly reduce the yield. Fertilize cucumbers with organic fertilizers in combination with mineral fertilizers. With the right balance of these components and adherence to the fertilizing schedule, the cucumber yield will be maximum.

Disease and pest resistance

The hybrid is resistant to all common diseases of cucumbers: powdery mildew, cladosporium, cucumber mosaic. Relatively less resistant to downy mildew.

It has good general endurance, so it is not inclined to get sick even in cold, damp summers.

Despite their popularity, cucumbers are often attacked by diseases and pests. From them, cucumber plantings often die before the start of fruiting. In order to prevent this from happening, it is necessary to try to prevent ailments or get rid of them at the very beginning, having studied in detail their causes of occurrence, signs and methods of treatment.

Review overview

The reviews are positive. Seeds for the Urals and Siberia are often perceived as specific, for one region, but such varieties are in fact in no way inferior to universal ones, and even surpass them. The very perfection of this is an excellent confirmation. In the difficult conditions of the cold Ural summer, he is the only one of the many cucumbers that grows well and is able to bring yields. In good conditions, the hybrid variety is exemplary: there are a lot of cucumbers, they are tasty and lie well, with a strong, not bitter skin, the plant does not get sick at all, it sprouts very quickly and grows actively - the harvest can be removed after 6 weeks.

The seeds of the hybrid are quite expensive, 90 rubles. for 5 pcs., there are reviews about the re-grading, but basically the seeds surprise with germination. Seedlings are the most lively compared to others. The sprouts themselves are compact, but of a rich green color, the roots very quickly master the earthen lump. The seedlings are powerful. Some gardeners called the variety their favorite, the bunches of dark green cucumbers are very attractive, in each bunch there are at least 6 pieces - it is very pleasant to harvest such a crop.
