Cucumber Maisky has been known to domestic gardeners for a long time. It has many virtues that have made it a popular vegetable. And this hybrid variety is appreciated for its rather early ripening, long fruiting, high yields, and most importantly, for delicious classic cucumbers.

The hybrid variety Maisky F1 was bred on the basis of the experimental station named after V.I. VI Edelstein of the Moscow Agricultural Academy by the staff of the selection and seed-growing company "Manul". The group of scientists included G. Tarakanov, M. Panova, E. Mescherov, V. Krylov, A. Zalkaln. The culture was entered into the State Register in 1973, it was recommended for cultivation in spring greenhouses and open ground.

The popular, beloved by many, the Maisky variety is an early maturing bee-pollinated hybrid. The plant blooms mainly with female flowers. A hybrid has been created specifically for cultivation in spring shelters; in more southern regions, open ground is used. The unflagging long-term interest in this culture is explained by the excellent taste and marketability of cucumbers.

The plant is characterized by an indeterminate type of growth, characterized by medium branching. Medium-sized leaf plates are colored dark green.

Zelentsy have a traditional cylindrical shape, large rare tubercles are noted on the skin, there is white pubescence. The length of the cucumbers is normal for a classic fruit - 12-17 centimeters, the weight of each greenery is 140-180 grams. In the context of the cucumber is round-triangular.

The purpose of Maysky cucumbers is a salad canning. The sweet taste, as well as the delicate skin of the fruits, makes them indispensable for summer salads or simply serving fresh. Cucumbers of this variety have an excellent taste after processing: pickling, pickling.

Hybrid Maisky early in terms of ripening. Already 46-50 days after germination, you can feast on fresh cucumbers.

The high-yielding crop has an average cucumber productivity of 21.7 kg / m2.

Maisky cucumbers are grown in different ways: by sowing seeds in the ground or by first growing seedlings. So, to get seedlings prepared for planting on a permanent place, seed is sown in April or May. Planting depth - 1-2 cm, growing temperature - + 25 ° C. Transplanting grown seedlings to a permanent place is carried out only when the threat of frost has finally passed. Cucumber seeds are immersed directly into the ground at the end of May to a depth of 1-1.5 cm. The crops must be covered with a film. The optimal landing pattern is 60x15 cm.

It is very easy to care for the growing Maysky cucumbers. The main thing is moisturizing, feeding every 2 weeks, weeding, loosening. Watering is carried out in 2-3 days, in severe drought - every day. Irrigation is carried out only with warm water, warmed and settled under the sun during the day. Therefore, the watering procedure is best done in the evening hours, at sunset.

Collecting zelents should be done regularly.Cucumbers of the Maisky variety are harvested every 2-3 days and, as a rule, they are harvested in the early morning. So the wounds on the plant can heal until the evening, without attracting the attention of harmful insects.

Fertilize the Maysky hybrid every 14 days. For this, we recommend solutions of mullein and poultry droppings, minerals: nitroammofosk, potassium sulfate and superphosphate, as well as complex formulations such as Agricola, Rodnichok, Clean sheet.

The hybrid is relatively resistant to powdery mildew, root rot, stem ascochitosis. Maisky is tolerant to downy mildew.
