Cucumber White Angel stands out among other varieties not only for its elegant name, but also for its unusual appearance. The white color of the fruit attracts the eye and makes you want to taste the exotic vegetable. Unsurprisingly, when it first appeared in 2002, the hybrid quickly gained high popularity.

Description of the variety

The parthenocarpic variety is resistant to temperature fluctuations, so it can be grown in open areas. Also, the culture feels good in film and polycarbonate greenhouses. She does not need pollination by bees, so there are no difficulties with this issue.

Characteristics of the appearance of plants and zelents

The vigorous, indeterminate bushes of the hybrid have long, spreading, highly branched whips. Leaves are medium in size, dark green, slightly wrinkled, irregularly serrate at the edges. The height of the plant is practically unlimited. In favorable conditions, they can reach 3 meters or more.

The fruits are formed in bunches of 2-3 vegetables. Cucumbers have a cylindrical shape and a length of 9-11 cm. In diameter they are usually 3-3.5 cm. The peel of ripening fruits is slightly hilly, has a snow-white color. As the vegetables reach ripeness, they acquire a barely noticeable greenish tint.

Purpose and taste of fruits

The fruit pulp of optimum ripeness is juicy and crunchy, has a traditional cucumber taste without bitterness. Therefore, it is pleasant to use them both fresh and canned. White vegetables look spectacular in jars, harmoniously complementing tomatoes and green cucumbers. However, it is very important to harvest as soon as a light greenish tone appears. If you skip this point, the skin of the cucumbers coarsens, and the taste deteriorates due to the appearance of a little bitterness.

Maturation

Fruits begin to appear 50-55 days after the start of seedling growth. Based on this, the variety is classified as medium early.

Yield

Each square meter can give a gardener 12-15 kg of harvest. The fruits of this variety are stored well. They can also be transported over long distances.

Landing scheme

Do not place more than 3 plants on one square meter. Experts advise leaving a gap of at least 30 cm between the bushes.

Growing and care

Presowing seed treatment is not required. If you want to speed up germination, just keep it in clean water for a day. If sowing is carried out once in a permanent place, it is recommended to harden the seeds by placing them in the refrigerator for 2 days. Home seedlings are grown traditionally - at a temperature of 22-24 ° C. They are transferred to a greenhouse or to a plot at the end of May. It is desirable that the soil has already had time to warm up to 13 ° C.

Care consists in regular weeding, loosening and watering with warm water 2-3 times a week. To improve the quality of fruits and increase yields, you can fertilize the soil with organic or NPK complexes every 15 days. Also, pinching is carried out twice a week. Long side shoots are pinched. In addition, you should remove the leaves under the first ovary. This improves air exchange.

In order to collect strong, tasty and beautiful cucumbers on your site, you need to make top dressing. Lack of nutrients can negatively affect the appearance of the plant and significantly reduce the yield. Fertilize cucumbers with organic fertilizers in combination with mineral fertilizers. With the right balance of these components and adherence to the fertilizing schedule, the cucumber yield will be maximum.

Disease and pest resistance

The hybrid does not have good immunity. Therefore, it is very important to monitor the maintenance of the optimum humidity level (in greenhouses it should not exceed 40-50%). Regular ventilation is required. Also, do not thicken the planting.

To prevent troubles, you can periodically process the bushes with "Fitosporin". In case of detection of cladosporium, Bordeaux liquid is used. In case of an invasion of pests, mustard powder or special chemicals are used.

Despite their popularity, cucumbers are often attacked by diseases and pests. From them, cucumber plantings often die before the start of fruiting. In order to prevent this from happening, it is necessary to try to prevent ailments or get rid of them at the very beginning, having studied in detail their causes of occurrence, signs and methods of treatment.

Review overview

Vegetable growers who grow this variety note good seed germination, vigorous growth of bushes and unpretentiousness of plants. Pleases the excellent taste of the fruits and their exotic color. The best yields are obtained when cultivated in film shelters. In open areas, there are few ovaries. Also, the disadvantages include the need to harvest on time. Even slightly overripe fruits become tough and slightly bitter.

Nevertheless, the listed nuances do not seem to most summer residents to be serious disadvantages. Therefore, they again and again plant an unusual hybrid on the plots and advise it to all their friends.
