How to store an inflatable pool in winter?

After the end of the swimming season, the owners of inflatable and frame pools face a daunting task. The fact is that the pool will have to be cleaned for the winter for storage, and not everyone knows how to do it correctly. There are certain rules and requirements that will help keep the pool in good condition for more than one year.

The most important stage is preparation for conservation. This business can take 2-3 days, so it is worth preparing thoroughly. The list of tips is as follows:

• focusing on the weather, you need to choose the time to prepare the pool, - dry and sunny days will be ideal;
• in a specialized store you need to purchase gentle means for cleaning and disinfecting the pool;
• also need prepare soft rags or sponges, paper towels (can be replaced with rags), bedding (this can be a film).

A small amount of water can be scooped up with buckets, and a pump is required to drain a large pool.

There is another important point: if chemicals were added to the pool, for example, for cleaning, then such water should not be poured onto the backyard. We need to drain it down the drain. If the water is without chemicals, you can safely water bushes and trees with it.

If the pool is large and difficult to transport, it is more rational to cover the structure with plastic wrap. You can fix the shelter with bricks or any other heavy objects. This is an easier and less expensive option. If funds allow, you can buy a special awning in the store.

Only frost-resistant models can be left at sub-zero temperatures. As a rule, these are rather massive and sturdy structures, which are very problematic to disassemble. With them, the algorithm of actions will be as follows:

• choose warm and dry weather;
• clean built-in autochlorine from disinfectants and dispenser;
• in the circulation mode, start flushing the system (if there is such functionality), in time 25-30 minutes will be enough;
• completely drain the water and dry the pool using paper towels or rags;
• wash all elements: lighting, lights, stairs and handrails;
• remove the lamps and protective glasses, it is also necessary to insulate the wiring.

Then set compensators.

Of course, it is better to cover even a frost-resistant structure for the winter with a special awning or polyethylene. This will provide additional protection.

In order for the pool to winter well and remain usable in the next season, it must be properly stored.After the preparation of the pool, when the water has already been poured out, and the walls, bottom and other parts of the structure are dried, it can be removed. To do this, follow these steps:

• deflate (if the pool is inflatable);
• frame must be freed from the awning, and then disassemble the entire structure;
• regardless of the type of pool, the awning must be treated with talcum powder - this step should in no case be overlooked, since talcum prevents clumping and the formation of tar;
• fold neatly, if possible, getting rid of large folds;
• pack all the parts, most pools come with a special storage bag.

If you follow these simple rules of conservation and storage, then the pool, regardless of its cost, will last from 5 to 7 years.
