For a long time, the cleaning of reservoirs has been a big problem, both physically and materially. To do this, it was necessary to drain all the water, move the fish, remove the entire muddy layer from the bottom with your own hand or with the help of special equipment, and only after that refill the water, return the fish. Today, biological preparations have been created that greatly facilitate the struggle for the cleanliness of ponds.

Peculiarities

Cleaning ponds with bacteria is a safe way to tidy up the pond and create a comfortable environment for fish and other aquatic animals. Beneficial microorganisms activate self-purification processes and restore the natural eco-balance.

The need to use bacteria is indicated by: overgrowing and blooming of water, the appearance of blood-sucking insects, the massive death of fish, the appearance of a sharp unpleasant odor, as well as a change in the color of the water and excessive silting of the bottom.

Of course, the pond can be cleaned with chemicals. But this can lead to its contamination with heavy metal salts and other toxins. Bacteria are natural inhabitants of any source, therefore, they can be combined with all types of ecosystems. The use of this cleaning method allows:

  • to achieve the removal of impurities and increase the transparency of the water;
  • control the growth of algae and other aquatic vegetation;
  • prevent the spread of infections;
  • reduce the volume of bottom sediments;
  • promptly remove polluting fish waste products;
  • decompose the remains of dead fish.

Drug overview

Biological preparations are used for initial cleaning of the reservoir - they are especially effective for disinfecting water after winter and for preventing fish diseases. The modern industry offers a wide variety of effective formulations.

"Taih Aquatop":

  • accelerates the process of biodegradation of aquatic organics;
  • promotes self-cleaning of the reservoir;
  • supports healthy microbiological processes;
  • reduces the formation of toxic gases;
  • reduces sludge formation.

Koi Aquatop:

  • improves the quality of the water in the pond;
  • reduces the volume of bottom sediment;
  • fights algae;
  • effectively decomposes fish excrement;
  • destroys ammonia, ammonium and other toxic compounds;
  • enriches water with oxygen.

The drug has a long-term effect.

"Pond Cleaner":

  • purifies water, increases its transparency;
  • destroys layered and fibrous algae;
  • eliminates unpleasant odor;
  • breaks down proteins, fats and cellulose;
  • normalizes the acidity of the reservoir;
  • decomposes waste products of aquatic inhabitants.

Compositions MACRO-ZYME, Chlorella, Chisty Prud have good efficiency.

How to use?

All recommendations for the use of bacteria in ponds can be found in the instructions for the preparation. Typically, bacteria are used in the following cases:

  • when a new reservoir is launched;
  • at the beginning of the warm season;
  • after fish treatment and water treatment with medicines;
  • after any fluid change.

In most cases, biological purification agents are simply diluted in water and evenly distributed throughout the entire thickness.

Another option for organizing effective biofiltration is equipment near the pond of a small bioplato (pond). The water level in it should be slightly higher than in the main reservoir, and the border between the reservoirs should be formed by stones. In this case, bacteria are fed into the pond. Dirty liquid is pumped from the pond to the bioplateau.Clearing herself, she returns to the main body of water over the stones.

It is allowed to use bacteria in special installations - biological purification filters. Passing through the filters, all organic matter is retained in the foam sponges and is destroyed by the microorganisms living here.

Which one is better to choose?

Depending on the goals and objectives of cleaning, several groups of biological products are distinguished:

  • to maintain biobalance - refresh the water, eliminate pollution, stimulate the growth of algae;
  • to enrich water with air - such compositions are responsible for saturating water with oxygen, neutralizing toxic gases, increasing the transparency of water and starting self-purification processes;
  • preparations for water purification - contain a group of microorganisms that ensure the process of natural self-cleaning of the pond, such bacteria in a short time decompose the remnants of food and traces of fish activity, reduce the concentration of phosphorus and nitrogen, prevent the appearance of algae;
  • against aquatic vegetation - they act as biocatalysts, prevent the growth of blue-green algae.
