The broom is an irreplaceable assistant in the yard when putting things in order. If earlier they were made from natural materials, today you can find on sale models made of polypropylene, which have a long service life.

Peculiarities

The round broom design came to us from Europe at the end of the 18th century. However, today such a tool is unfamiliar to most people. You can find round and flat brooms on sale. The peculiarity of the first is that the rods are fixed on a round base. Their main scope of use:

  • utility rooms;
  • Street;
  • personal plot.

On sale you can find a regular round broom and reinforced with a strong handle. Models may differ in the type of pile. This classification is much broader: each manufacturer offers a product that differs in height, size of a bunch of synthetic pile. Of the main advantages of such inventory, practicality and low cost can be distinguished.

There are no restrictions on the use of the tool in climatic zones, since the material used perfectly withstands low and high ambient temperatures.

On more expensive copies, there is an additional reinforcing mount. Reinforced construction makes it easy to sweep large and heavy debris out of the yard. The shank can be made from wood or plastic. The second material has a longer service life, since it does not suffer from exposure to water.

However, the plastic handle breaks quickly under mechanical pressure or even when dropped, so use the broom with caution. Of the advantages, less weight can be distinguished, since wood significantly makes the structure heavier.

Pile used

Polypropylene

Great for the yard as it can easily handle bulky debris and hard-to-reach places. Offers good resistance and excellent tensile strength. Resistant to moisture, solvents, acids, oils, fungus and bacteria. Over time, this pile will not fade or smell unpleasant.

Polystyrene

Similar to polypropylene, these flexible bristles are ideal for tight turns, flexible, withstand any bending, lifting, and outstanding tensile strength. They will withstand water, solvents and acids.

Nylon

Nylon bristles are tough and flexible, making them ideal for general cleaning of small debris on flat wood or laminate floors. This broom does not absorb odors.

Synthetics

Brooms with synthetic bristles can be used on wet or dry surfaces as they are highly resistant to acids and oils. They are flexible and will not scratch floor surfaces.

Metallic

Brooms with metal bristles are used in winter when it is necessary to remove snow or ice. The average length of the bristles is 28 cm; corrugated steel wire is used as the main material. The base of the structure is made of plastic, like the handle.

Selection rules

When choosing a round broom, take into account:

  • where the cleaning will take place;
  • what kind of garbage will have to be removed;
  • are there any hard-to-reach places;
  • whether work will be carried out in an aggressive environment.

The user should know that The polypropylene pile does not bend and has the highest durability of all options on the market. Even with prolonged use, such a tool will retain its original qualities. What's more, the lightweight design allows children and women to use the broom. When buying a type-setting round universal broom, you should rely on technical characteristics such as length, type of bristle and the presence of a reinforced structure. If the shank is wooden, it is better when it is made of birch, and there are inlaid rings at the base.
