When purchasing a frame pool, a difficult question arises as to which ladder to buy for it. In the article, we will consider what types of stairs for such structures are, and how to choose them.

Advantages and disadvantages

A ladder for a frame pool is a necessary element from a safety point of view. In its absence, you will have to plunge into cool water abruptly, and this is not always useful.

The advantages of this device are quite obvious:

  • you can easily get out of the pool;
  • getting into the pool is also easy;
  • nowadays, in specialized stores, it is possible to find a huge number of good ladders designed for a frame pool - there are models from different materials, of all sizes and manufacturers;
  • safety - you can grab the ladder if necessary;
  • the presence of a staircase gives the pool a finished look.

Of course, stairs have their drawbacks:

  • if the surface of the steps is not treated with an anti-slip material, then slipping on such a ladder will not be difficult at all;
  • in some cases the ladder is very difficult to install.

The most common type of ladder for a frame pool is a stepladder. There are many models of this design on the market today. They differ:

  • material;
  • the number of steps;
  • form;
  • the presence or absence of railings;
  • additional fixing elements.

Basically, the frame structures of the pools are equipped with classic U-shaped ladders made in the form of a step-ladder. They are good because they are very easy to install, they are stable, sturdy and reliable. These products are made from various materials, but stainless steel options are more common.

When choosing a U-shaped ladder, it is important to start from the height of the sides of the frame-type pool.

In stores, you can find designs in the form of a stepladder, which have removable steps. This additional function is good in that people using the pool have the opportunity to independently adjust the ladder "for themselves" by adjusting the distance between the individual steps.

Popular nowadays is another type of ladder suitable for frame pools - balneological step ladders. These products differ in that the stages in their device are supplemented with special nozzles. They receive water streams under moderate pressure. This creates a good massage effect that has a beneficial effect on blood circulation in the feet, it even partially relieves the feeling of fatigue.

There are also two separate types of stairs:

  • equilateral, in which the same number of steps on both sides;
  • versatile.

Dimensions (edit)

On sale most often there are stairs with the most common height dimensions:

  • from 90 to 100 cm;
  • from 90 to 107 cm;
  • from 107 to 122 cm;
  • from 122 to 132 cm.

At the same time, the height of the side of the pool itself is from 76 to 91 cm.

There is an unspoken standard among manufacturers, according to which the distance between the steps in height should be about 25 cm, and the width of the step itself should be at least 50 cm. Such parameters were revealed during the operation of the stairs.

Materials (edit)

A frame pool can stand not only separately from all yard structures, but also be supplemented by capital structures, such as a small area next to it.The type and design of the pool ladder, which can be made of various materials, will depend on the height and design option.

Wood

Most often, a wooden staircase is built for the sides of the pool protruding from the outside. But there may be exceptions if the tree is treated with a special compound for wooden ships.

Thanks to a well-carried out protective treatment, natural material can stay in water for a long time, but at the same time it does not collapse or deform.

Unlike more complex and expensive stairs (for example, steel), wooden ones can be easily removed if necessary.

Metal

It is a versatile and inexpensive option for both large stationary pools and small frame pools. Steel options are especially popular. They serve for a long time and look attractive. They are very convenient to use. Steel models are reliable, sturdy and stable. This design can last for many years without losing its original appearance and performance. That is why today frame pools are most often supplemented with ladders made of high-quality stainless steel.

Plastic

Ladders are not usually made of plastic entirely. Exceptions can only be products made from a plastic pipe. In most cases, this material is used for the manufacture of comfortable and non-slip steps, various pads (for example, on handrails) or fasteners. However, we must not forget that poor quality plastic is afraid of direct sunlight.

From constant exposure to ultraviolet radiation, cheap material becomes very fragile and can break.

Selection Tips

Choosing the right ladder for your frame pool is just as important as the pool itself. A good design must be reliable and meet certain requirements.

  • The main thing is safety. The level of product safety depends on how high-quality materials are used in the construction. Before buying a ladder, pay attention to the condition of the fasteners.
  • The presence of an anti-slip coating on the steps will protect you from the possibility of injury.
  • Materials. For inflatable and frame pools, the stairs are the same. The frame part is most often made of high-quality alloy, and the steps can be made of other materials, for example, ABS plastic with the obligatory application of an anti-slip coating on it - this is an excellent option.
  • The ladder must be easy to use and meet anthropometric standards. Climbing such a product should be equally convenient for both small children and large people.
  • Do not forget about the design, as an ugly or sloppy staircase can ruin the entire aesthetic appearance of the pool.
  • It is desirable that the legs of the stairs are equipped with special pads that will protect the bottom of the pool from damage. It can be not just pads, but a solid plastic block. It is much more reliable than linings and is used if the pool is on loose and loose soil (sand), into which the legs (even those equipped with pads) can fall through and still damage the bottom. In addition, the presence of a bar will make the ladder more stable.
