An amateur breeder first received the new grape varieties in 1985. By his main profession, Evgeny Grigorievich is a miner, he lives in the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region. In honor of the breeder's hometown, this variety got its name.

Muscat Novoshakhtinsky is a table grape, which is a variation of varieties with a red fruit color. It is distinguished by vigorous bushes with good ripening of berries. Flowers are bisexual.

This variety is characterized by very early ripening times. The developmental period from bud opening to final maturity is 110-115 days. In the middle lane, the harvest of the Muscat Novoshakhtinsky variety is harvested closer to mid-August.

Muscat Novoshakhtinsky belongs to frost-resistant hybrids. Its buds endure winter frosts down to -23 degrees. However, the variety needs shelter for the winter with spruce branches or straw. This is especially necessary for young plants.

The hybrid is moderately resistant to disease. Its resistance to mildew (downy mildew) is 3 points, its resistance to powdery mildew is also 3 points. To prevent these diseases, Novoshakhtinsky Muscat is treated with fungicides before flowering and again during the formation of berries.
