The partner is a hybrid pepper that is great for outdoor and greenhouse cultivation. The plant quickly takes root in any climatic conditions and gives a high yield, for which it is appreciated by gardeners. It is worth considering in more detail the features of growing a crop, as well as key advantages and characteristics.

Breeding history

Domestic breeders - employees of the agro-company of the same name were engaged in breeding the Partner pepper. The unique hybrid has absorbed the best features of the parent varieties and gained wide popularity in many regions of the country.

Description of the variety

Pepper Partner belongs to a group of plants with an early maturity. The main characteristics of the variety:

  • bushes - tall;

  • shoots are strong and powerful;

  • leaves are of medium size, slightly wrinkled, dark green in color.

The maximum height of the bushes reaches 140 cm under optimal growing conditions. The average crop height is 120 cm.

Characteristics of the appearance of plants and fruits

The partner is a sweet pepper variety that forms large fruits. Pepper characteristics:

  • weight - up to 220 grams;

  • shape - cuboid;

  • fruit length - up to 12 centimeters;

  • diameter - from 10 to 11 cm in the area of the stalk;

  • the skin is dense, rich red towards the end of ripening.

The fruits of the variety are suitable for long-distance transportation, since the wall thickness reaches 10 millimeters. For these properties, the culture is valued by gardeners and large agricultural enterprises.

Purpose and taste

The large fruits of the Partner variety are distinguished by their high taste, which the tasters appreciated at their true worth. Peppers are used for fresh consumption, as well as for the preparation of various sauces, pastes, salads and first courses. The partner is also suitable for freezing, retains all its properties and juicy taste.

Ripening terms

On average, the Partner pepper lasts 76-85 days until the fruits are fully ripe when the crop is planted in greenhouse conditions. When grown outdoors, the ripening period is shifted.

Yield

The partner is a high-yielding variety, one square meter is capable of producing an average of 14 kg of juicy fruits under optimal growing conditions.

To get a large and tasty harvest of pepper, you need to take care of the seedlings in advance. When growing pepper seedlings, you need to correctly determine the sowing time, pre-sowing seed treatment, prepare the necessary container and soil.

Growing and care

The partner is considered a rather unpretentious variety. Planting the plant is carried out in the form of seedlings, pre-preparing the seeds.

Stages of preparation.

  1. Selection. Held in the middle or towards the end of February. Gardeners take seed, leaving only large and not deformed samples. Soaking the seeds in a glass of warm water for 24 hours will help speed up the selection process. After this time, empty samples will float to the surface. They are removed, and the rest of the seeds are used for planting.

  2. Disinfection. An obligatory stage through which it will be possible to strengthen the plant's immunity and prevent attacks from pests and diseases. To achieve the desired result, the seeds are soaked in a solution of potassium permanganate.Annealing of seeds in the oven and treatment with "Fitosporin" also give a good effect.

  3. Treatment. The day before planting, the seeds are sprayed with growth-stimulating solutions, which can be purchased at specialized gardening stores.

Planting is carried out in peat pots or previously prepared containers with a fertile mixture around the beginning or mid-March. The maximum immersion depth of seeds should not exceed 1-2 cm, so that the samples quickly start growing and do not die due to lack of sunlight and high humidity.

After planting, the pots are covered with a transparent material - gauze or glass. Then put on a windowsill in the sun for 1-2 weeks.

Transplanting seedlings into the ground is carried out closer to the end of April - beginning of May, when warm weather sets in. Landing scheme:

  1. the distance between seedlings should be at least 60 cm;

  2. distance between rows - up to 70 cm;

  3. there should be 4 bushes per 1 m2 of beds;

  4. the immersion depth of a peat pot or seedling should be 5-6 cm.

After planting, the empty space between the roots is covered with fertile soil, and then the surface of the bed is covered with mulch. The layer thickness should not be less than 8 cm. Straw, sawdust or green manure can be used as mulch.

When growing peppers in open ground, planting is carried out in the last days of May.

When planting work is completed, it remains to take care of the care of the plant.

  1. Watering. An obligatory procedure, which is started a week after the planting of the peppers. On average, a plant requires 1-3 watering per week. In the case of outdoor cultivation, the frequency should be adjusted depending on the climatic conditions. For example, in a drought, it is worth increasing the volume of water, and in rains, reducing it.

  2. Top dressing. During the season, it is recommended to fertilize the soil where the peppers grow up to 4 times. Organic and complex fertilizers are usually used as top dressing, however, during the flowering period, preference is also given to mineral compositions. Before using dressings, it is recommended to carefully study the instructions if you plan to add a complex to the soil.

  3. Loosening. It is carried out after each watering. It is a small digging of a bed with pepper to saturate it with oxygen.

  4. Weeding. The procedure is aimed at removing unwanted vegetation near the peppers in order to prevent the transfer of pests and diseases by weeds. It is recommended to weed the bushes at least three times per season.

And also the tall bushes of the Partner require a garter and molding by pruning. Gardeners advise cutting off too long and infected shoots, so that the plant uses all its strength to form large and juicy fruits.

If the pepper is grown in a greenhouse, you should also take care of regular ventilation of the room, otherwise there is a high probability of rotting of the culture with the subsequent death of the plant.

To harvest a tasty and rich harvest of pepper, you need to comply with all the conditions of agricultural technology, and proper care begins with planting plants. Before planting pepper in open ground, it should be prepared. It is also important to take care of the seedlings and planting space in advance.

One of the most important conditions for growing healthy and strong peppers is correct and timely watering, which is necessary for active growth, rapid rooting and good fruiting of plants in a greenhouse or open field. The soil under it should not dry out. This can be achieved by following the basic recommendations. First of all, you should be guided by the weather. In addition, the phase of development of the plants is important, as well as the way the peppers are grown - in a greenhouse or in the open field.
Although pepper has a tree-like stem structure, it still needs additional support. If the peppers are not tied up, the plants will begin to lean to the ground under the weight of ripening fruits, the stem may break. Low-growing varieties, as a rule, do not need a garter. But for tall and hybrid varieties, it is necessary.
Every summer resident who decides to grow pepper on his site must learn how to form it correctly. The formation of pepper is one of the simplest and most effective agricultural techniques that allow you to extend the term and increase the fruiting of a crop.

For good growth of pepper bushes and active fruiting, you need to regularly apply mineral and organic fertilizing to the soil. It is necessary not only to choose the right formulations, but also to use them at the right stage in the development of culture. The frequency of top dressing is always individual. It depends directly on the composition of the land on your site. The poorer the soil composition, the more often you will need to feed the pepper.

Disease and pest resistance

The partner has strong immunity and increased resistance to apical rot and TMV. However, this does not mean that the plant is not capable of getting sick. During the period of active growth and flowering, the variety can attack the black leg and late blight - quite serious diseases, ignoring which leads to the death of the pepper. To protect the bushes, gardeners recommend using special preparations, including:

  • bordeaux mixture;

  • Oxyhom;

  • "Barrier";

  • "Barrier";

  • Fundazol.

Before use, you should carefully study the instructions so as not to burn the plant.

Reviews

Gardeners speak of the Partner variety exclusively in a positive way. Among the advantages of culture are:

  • fast growth;

  • high productivity;

  • resistance to most climatic influences, pests and diseases;

  • unpretentious care.

And also gardeners emit excellent taste characteristics and the ability to transport fruits over long distances.

Pepper is one of the most common vegetables in home gardens. This culture is quite stable and unpretentious. However, under certain conditions, this plant can suffer from infections and harmful insects. Before treating peppers for diseases or pests, you need to find out the cause of the problem, otherwise the treatment may be ineffective.
