The variety was introduced to Rosreestr only in 2008. Today breeders recommend it for cultivation in the central part of the country.

Bohemia was bred artificially. Strawberries of this variety are distinguished by large fruits. The height of the bush can reach 300 mm.

The foliage is formed with wrinkles, the shade darkens downward, the density of the bushes is average. The closer to the top, the lighter the shade of the leaves.

Another characteristic feature of the variety is the small number of whiskers formed. Despite this, the bushes always have a powerful root system.

Peduncles are also on the same level with the leaves. This makes it easy to harvest.

The yield level is maintained regardless of the climate. That is, Bohemia produces the same amount of berries when grown both in the south and in the north. However, after the first harvest, the berries may become smaller, but this is common with strawberries.

The variety belongs to late, if you take into account the ripening time. Blooms in April-May.

On the territory of our country, Bohemia is most grown in the south and southern Urals, including in areas with risky farming.

The yield of the variety is 10.65 t / ha. This is if we talk about an industrial scale.

When Bohemia grows in a garden plot, up to 3.5 kilograms of strawberries can be harvested from each square meter of planting.

This yield is considered high.

Large berries are the main advantage of the described variety. One fruit can weigh up to 50 grams. At the same time, the strawberry nose always remains a little greenish, but this happens only when the berry is not fully ripe. When fully ripe, the tip bifurcates.

The color of the berry is dark red. The shape can be characterized as wide conical.

As for the taste, the fruits are sweet, the aroma is pronounced, similar to strawberry. The pulp is juicy, but even when ripe, it remains firm. The sugar level is 9.9%. The tasters give an estimate of 4.5 points.

Bohemia is excellent for growing for sale as it is perfectly transportable and has an ideal presentation.

The berry is used not only raw. The variety is universal, so you can make jams, preserves, compotes from the fruit.

The variety has excellent drought resistance. It is not susceptible to disease and insect attack. However, it will not work to grow it in a greenhouse.

If we talk about the conditions of detention, then Bohemia is unpretentious, but non-compliance with agrotechnical standards leads to the fact that the harvest is pretty shallow.

It is imperative to maintain a distance of 40 cm between the bushes. Such an indicator is dictated by the wide and dense foliage. The more space the grower provides for his plantation, the better the fruit will grow.

If you do not keep the distance, then you will have to spend money on additional feeding.Some experienced gardeners say that compaction is the key to high yields, but this is not the case. In this case, you need to be a real professional in agricultural technology.

To preserve the warmth of the earth, moisture and protect from weeds, it is advised to mulch the soil around the bushes. Not only agrotechnical film is suitable, but also needles, sawdust and even straw, which gardeners most often use.

If you want to get a stable harvest the next year after planting, then in the first year you will have to sacrifice the harvest and cut the flowers.

Although strawberries are unpretentious, it is worth choosing a good place for them. This should be a sunny area where shade persists for a while. No drafts as they harm any culture.

Bohemia loves fertile soil. Loose soil is ideal, with minimal acidity. If there is acidified soil on the site, then lime will need to be added before planting, you can use dolomite flour.

But the soil can be not only sour, but also heavy, and in this form it is also not very suitable for planting strawberries. The gardener can be advised to add river sand and compost in equal proportions. A square requires 6 kilograms of each component.

Another important point when growing strawberries is watering. With this variety, it should be of medium intensity.

If you water and fertilize in a timely manner, then the strawberries will thank you with large berries with amazing taste. If there is not enough moisture, then the fruits will lose their juiciness. With a lack of nutrients, the berries will become smaller.

When planting, holes for Bohemia strawberries should be dug at a distance of 0.4-0.5 m from each other so that the bushes grow freely.

Pollination is not required.

Feeding strawberries is needed, but it should be applied only during strictly specified periods.

Potassium combined with nitrogen is ideal for the period when bushes begin to bloom.

Nitrogen with a mineral complex can be used in the process:

• flowering;

• ovary;

• ripening of fruits.

The best way to feed strawberries is by fertigation. In simpler and more understandable language, this is drip irrigation.

You can find the necessary ready-made mixture in a specialized agricultural store. The manufacturer always describes the required dose on the package. You cannot exceed it, otherwise you can simply burn the plant.

If the gardener does not have the proper experience, then it is better to use organics as a top dressing, since it is safer for strawberries. As a top dressing, you can use bird and cow droppings, ash.

Bohemia belongs to frost-resistant varieties, but this does not mean that there is no need to carry out any preliminary preparation before winter.

When the bushes stopped bearing fruit, it was time to remove the foliage, make the last dressing. If the planting region is characterized by a harsh winter with a lot of snow, then after pruning it is better to cover them with earth or compost.

No covering material is used, but it can be a good protection for young plantings.

Bohemia has a high immunity to diseases and pests. Therefore, processing is not required for it.

Antennae are formed on the bushes, but in small numbers. You can find planting material in a special nursery, or buy seeds in a specialty store.

If you plant young bushes in early spring, then the fruits can be harvested in the same year.

Experienced gardeners advise planting seedlings by the end of summer. August is the ideal time for strawberries to take root enough and gain strength before wintering. In the Caucasus, it is permissible to plant even in November, since winter comes later there.
