Cauliflower Snow Maiden

Snegurochka cauliflower has been in constant demand among gardeners in all regions of Russia for more than 10 years. They value this crop primarily for its high yield, excellent taste and resistance to low temperatures.

The Snegurochka cabbage variety was bred by the German company Satimex Quedlinburg, headed by the breeder Hartmut Klein. The representative of the Russian firm "Agroplaneta" S. L. Glebova in 2006 submitted an application for entering the variety into the State Register. In 2007, this application for admission was granted.

Snegurochka cabbage is classified as a first generation hybrid. This early maturing variety is recommended for cultivation in open field conditions, suitable for all-season planting. It has excellent immunity and resistance to various diseases. The crop is characterized by high yields and good adaptation to different growing conditions. It ripens successfully both in the central regions of Russia and in the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern regions.

The Snegurochka cauliflower variety is a plant about 15 cm in height with a vertical rosette of leaves. They are medium in length, have a green color, and are covered with a barely noticeable waxy coating. The surface of the leaves is characterized by slightly bubbling, the edge has a slightly wavy pattern.

The head is round-flat in shape, whitish in color. It can be medium to large in size, partially covered with leaves. The weight of one head is about 2.3 kg. The structure of the inflorescences is dense, the surface is shallow.

The texture of the head of the Snow Maiden is tender and crunchy, without voids and friability. This variety of cauliflower is distinguished by its high taste. It is versatile for home cooking. Snegurochka cabbage can be used both fresh and for various canning, it is ideal for freezing. The culture is well stored in the refrigerator, during transportation it perfectly retains its taste and presentation.

The Snow Maiden belongs to the early (early maturing) hybrids. The period from germination to harvest takes 90-100 days. It is also suitable for late cultivation. This variety of cauliflower is characterized by abundant ripening.

This crop belongs to high-yielding. Average indicators are 4.8 kg / sq. m. The hybrid is suitable for growing several crops per season.

Cauliflower Snegurochka is an uncomplicated crop that even a novice vegetable grower can successfully grow. But you need to know that this variety prefers fertile, light soil with neutral acidity. The area for planting cabbage must be sunny. You should know that this hybrid is suitable for June sowing in order to obtain a harvest in the fall.

Seeds for seedlings should be sown in late March - early April.It is important to monitor the temperature regime, which should be 15-18 degrees during the daytime and 12-14 degrees at night. Young plants are planted in open ground at the age of 30-35 days, with 4-5 true leaves. This usually occurs in late April - early May. Experienced vegetable growers recommend following the 50x30 cm planting pattern.

In the process of growth, Snegurochka cauliflower needs regular abundant watering throughout the season. It is also necessary not to forget about loosening the soil and timely weeding. As a top dressing for the formation of good heads, it is advisable to use complex fertilizers, which include boron and molybdenum.
