For small kitchens of 9 squares, it can be difficult to choose a set so as not to overload the space and leave enough free space for aisles. However, thanks to the right kind of flowers and multifunctional furniture, it is quite possible to do this.

Layout

Design of a corner kitchen set for the kitchen 9 sq. m is directly related to the layout of the premises. Cabinets are lined up in the shape of the letter "L", and ideally they are placed along a blank wall, turning over a large area, and in the corner there are either a sink or a hob. Below, under the sink, there will be storage systems made of drawers and shelves. This arrangement allows you to create a working triangle "stove-sink-refrigerator", as well as to effectively fill the corners.

The technique is initially arranged depending on the communications, and the headset project is worked out based on these constants. The stove is advised to be placed near the window to ensure through ventilation, but then there must be a working area nearby for convenient cooking. For a small kitchen, built-in types of appliances are more suitable, for example, a dishwasher, oven or washing machine.

It will be possible to rationally distribute the space if you choose a small kitchenette, and replace the worktop with a transformed window sill. Particular attention should be paid to the bar counter, which is part of the headset. It can replace both the dining table and the work area, which will significantly save space. In general, an L-shaped set is often complemented by an "island" with a narrow tabletop that acts as a table. By purchasing additionally folding chairs that are removed after a meal, it will be possible to effectively solve the issue of a small area.

There are many variations of the corner headset. For example, it can be completely freed from wall cabinets, and the corner floor unit is not burdened with a sink. This creates a large free cooking space. As for the seats, they can be made in the form of convertible boxes. In this case, those items that could be placed on top end up inside the boxes. It is customary to equip the corner module with various pull-out sections to optimize space.

It can be of a locomotive type, when one module is pushed to the side, and a second one rises in its place. There is also a variety of "peanuts". In this case, when the bulletin board is opened, the facade rotates around its axis, and the shelves move up to the hostess. It is customary to mount the carousel in trapezoidal corner cabinets. If possible, you should avoid cabinets near the window, especially hinged ones, which will prevent natural light from getting inside.

To decide on a kitchen set, you need to draw a plan yourself, ideally suited to a specific situation. Next comes the measurement of dimensions and ordering of parts. As a rule, assembly takes place using self-tapping screws.

Color solutions

A kitchen of 9 square meters will be most spacious in pastel colors. For example, it can be light green, blue, pink, beige and their varieties. Experts believe that these colors have a good effect on digestion. The choice of shades should also be based on which cardinal directions the windows face. For example, if to the north, it is better to purchase a set in peach or pale pink, and to the south - blue or gray.

It is important to mention that the color of the furniture and the color of the walls themselves should differ by only a few tones. Alternatively, wooden furniture will look good in an interior decorated in coffee shades. For interior decoration, two or three basic colors will be enough. You should not experiment with patterns only if the headset is in the format of a small accent on the apron.

Materials for decoration

The facades of corner sets are made of MDF, chipboard or natural wood with the addition of metal and glass. For protection, as well as for obtaining different colors, chipboard and MDF can be coated with enamel, plastic or a special film. The advantages of enamel include a wide range of possible colors, ease of use, and protection against odors. However, enamelled facades quickly get dirty, fade when exposed to sunlight, and have little durability.

PVC film will allow you to create not only different colors, but also textures - like metal, wood or stone.

This material is quite durable and cheap. However, the film does not tolerate ultraviolet light, loses its characteristics due to high temperatures, and sometimes peels off from the furniture itself. Decorative plastic is considered the most suitable material. It is resistant to most common "threats", and its only drawback is the need for thorough cleaning.

The best quality is stainless steel fittings, which retain their attractive appearance for a long time. and characterized by increased durability. It should not be pretentious, rather laconic. A good solution would be to equip the locker with gas lifts or mechanical closers.

How to expand the space?

It is recommended to lighten the working area with spotlights, which are mounted on a special panel installed on the kitchen set, on open shelves and countertops. The more light, the more spacious the room appears. The backlight, by the way, can even be colored, in harmony with the color of the kitchen corner, but white is considered a universal option. Hinged elements located either in a checkerboard or in a stepwise manner will also help visually. Metal and glass parts work for the same purpose - shelves, countertops and facades.

Glossy surfaces, as a rule, always fill the room with air, reflecting light and preventing the appearance of a squeezing effect.

A good solution would be to order a kitchen set, the facades of which are decorated with a single horizontal stripe in a contrasting color. It is believed that in this way it will be possible to stretch the room if necessary. Cabinet doors or facades can also be filled with a properly selected photographic image. The picture used must have a perspective, that is, be a landscape or panorama, as well as a natural play of light. The technique must be made built-in. It is most convenient to take out all the items in a separate stand so as not to solve the wiring issue several times, and also to choose multifunctional devices, for example, combining an oven, microwave and a double boiler.

Base cabinets can be supplemented with open shelving with steel brackets rather than bulky wall cabinets. Metal rails should be mounted above the sink in order to immediately be able to dry dishes or place towels. It is also logical to order a special lid that will cover either the sink or the hob, thereby creating additional space for work.

In the event that a redevelopment is being carried out and the area is expanded due to the balcony, it is recommended to cover the window sill with the same tabletop as the headset, and also place a compact storage system below.

If it is decided to weigh the upper cabinets, then it is worth bringing their height to the very ceiling. It is believed that such a solution visually increases the height of the room itself, plus it makes it possible to place a large number of things inside. As already mentioned, the facades should be glossy, and the doors should be either roller shutters or vertical blinds. It is recommended to place either a carousel or a special stand for bottles or cans in a corner wall cabinet. Finally, a very unusual solution would be to place a clock or timer directly in the front of the hinged module.

Stylistic solutions

A kitchen decorated in a classic style implies the placement of a laconic wooden corner, the facade of which is either decorated with moldings or milling. A limited amount of decor and small details are used, but these become an eye-catching accent. For example, it can be decorative crystal fittings.

Furniture with rounded lines, for example, a radius corner cabinet, a bar counter and rounded edge open shelves, will ideally fit into an Art Nouveau space. The surfaces should be solid and glossy and the colors used should be discreet. In order to balance the excess metal, you can make some parts or fittings from wood.

Minimalism is considered the optimal style for nine-meter kitchens. It demands to completely exclude all decorative elements, choose the smoothest facades and, if possible, even do without handles, replacing them with the "Tip-On" mechanism. With its help, it will be possible to open the cabinet by simply pressing on the surface of the cabinet. Storage systems are hidden to the maximum. Of course, you can limit yourself to the classic white shade, but it is better to slightly diversify it with beige, pearlescent or metallic colors.
