Currently, manufacturers from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holland and China are leading on the Russian market of household appliances. But domestic brands are not yet so well known to most Russians. Therefore, in order to make the right choice, you should study the main features of Renova washing machines and read the reviews of their owners.

The rights to the Renova brand belong to the Russian concern Nova, which was established in Rostov-on-Don in 2004. Initially, the company was engaged in the development of models of equipment adapted to the Russian market, and finished products were assembled at factories in the PRC and Turkey. In 2009 the company opened its first own production - a plant in the Krasnodar Territory. In 2011, the second plant of the company was opened in Angarsk. It is at these factories that most Renova washing machines are produced.

This technique was widespread in Soviet times, but nowadays it has become almost a rarity. The disadvantages of this technical solution are obvious:

• semi-automatic washing requires periodic participation of the owner of the equipment, who must manually pour water into it and switch modes;
• the number of possible washing options is noticeably inferior to automatic models, and various technologies for selecting and adjusting the mode are not available in principle;
• such a technique does not always provide a high quality wash and does not cope well with complex dirt;
• the design of such machines is noticeably inferior to automatic models.

Despite such a solid list of disadvantages, semi-automatic options have a number of important advantages.

• Due to the possibility of manually typing and draining water, this technique does not require connection to the water supply and sewerage networks, which means that it can be installed in summer cottages, construction sites and other places where it is impossible to place an automatic machine. And if you have an electric generator, you can even take such a device with you on long trips in the wild.
• Semi-automatic models are noticeably lighter and lighter than automatic machines of similar power.
• These products are very economical in water and energy consumption, so their operation is much cheaper.
• The cost of semi-automatic machines is noticeably lower than that of automatic machines.
• Due to their simplicity, such devices are more reliable than more complex models.
• Repair and maintenance of this technique is cheaper than for automatic machines. In addition, a considerable part of the breakdowns can be eliminated by hand.
• Almost all models of such equipment are top-loaded, so they take up less space and have the ability to add new things right in the wash process.

Renova semi-automatic washing machines have a number of important differences from similar equipment produced by other companies.

• The engine power of these machines is noticeably higher than that of competing models of similar functionality.
• The use of modern technical solutions makes it possible to increase the efficiency of such devices - almost all of them belong to the A + energy efficiency class. Therefore, their operation will be even cheaper than using equipment from other manufacturers.
• The form of activators modified by the company's specialists (a vane propeller, which is used to create water flows in the tank) ensures effective washing and safety of things in all modes supported by the machine.
• In models that have a spin function, the centrifuge speed is up to 1350 rpm, which allows you to achieve very low residual moisture in things.
• All equipment works in reverse rotation mode, so that clothes and linen do not twist into bundles during washing. This improves cleaning efficiency and avoids damage to items.
• All machines are equipped with a drain pump, so that to drain the dirty water from the device, it is enough to place the drain hose so that the water flows out of it into a sink, drain pit or container.
• Most models are equipped with a filter that protects the drain system from clogging with lint, fluff and threads.
• The body of Renova machines is made of high-quality polypropylene, which the company purchases from the Korean giant LG. This material not only has high strength, but is also safe for the environment and human health, and is also not subject to fading.

The company currently offers such models of semi-automatic washing machines.

• WS-30ET - a mini-model of a single-tank layout weighing only 6.7 kg with dimensions of 410 × 330 × 635 mm. Maximum load - 3 kg. It has only 2 operating modes - regular and gentle wash. Equipped with a timer (up to 15 minutes). The drain pump is not installed, the spin mode is not provided. Power - 0.2 kW.

• WS-35E - differs from the previous version with a capacity increased to 3.5 kg (due to the weight increased to 9.5 kg) and the presence of another mode - an intensive wash. Power - 0.25 kW.

• WS-40PT - thanks to the double-tank design, this machine can simultaneously wash one group of things and wring out another in a centrifuge tank. In this case, rinsing is possible in either of the two tanks. The maximum load is 4 kg for washing and 3.5 kg for spinning. Spin speed - up to 1350 rpm. A drain pump is installed. The body and lid are equipped with transparent windows that allow you to monitor the washing process. There is no filter in the drain system. Power - 0.36 kW.

• WS-40PET - a modernized version of the previous model, differing in design and the presence of a filter.

• WS-50PET - differs from the WS-40PET model in the increased capacity of the main tank to 5 kg and up to 4.5 kg of the centrifuge tank, as well as the power increased to 0.48 kW.

• WS-60PET - a model with a power of 0.5 kW with a maximum load of a washing tub of 6 kg. The capacity of the spinning tank is 4.5 kg. The rest of the basic characteristics (except for the dimensions) are the same as for the WS-40PET model.

• WS-65PE - a single-tank version with a capacity of 2 kW with a maximum load of 6.5 kg. The spin mode is not provided. The device is equipped with a water heater and shower set, which makes it indispensable for summer cottages and construction sites.

• WS-70PET - differs from WS-60PET in the increased capacity of the main tank up to 7 kg and up to 5.5 kg - of the centrifuge tank.

• WS-80PET - differs from the previous version with an increased maximum load of the washing tub up to 8 kg and a power of 0.54 kW.

• WS-85PE - model of a single-tank layout without a spin function with a power of 0.36 kW and a tank capacity of 8.5 kg. Equipped with drain pump and fluff filter.

There are also several automatic models in the assortment of the Russian company, which in fact are modernized semi-automatic models.

• WAT-45PT - activator model with vertical loading. It features a maximum load of 4.5 kg, an electronic control system and 10 wash modes, including regular and quick wash, soak, spin, spin wash, rinse and even dry. The maximum spin speed is 600 rpm. Water heating is not provided.

• WAT-60PT - most of the characteristics of this option are similar to the previous one, but due to the increased dimensions, the maximum load of this machine is 6 kg.The number of revolutions per minute in the spin mode is increased to 800

Despite the fact that a semi-automatic washing machine is much more reliable than an automatic version, it is important to comply with all the requirements set forth in the instructions during its operation. In no case should you overload its tank (load more things into it than the indicated maximum capacity). To start working, the device requires a certain level of filling with water, so if the machine does not start, it is worth trying to add water to it.

To repair the machine (especially its activator, centrifuge and drain pump), you need to use only original spare parts, which can be purchased from the official dealers of the Nova group of companies.

If your car has a burst housing, then before contacting the SC, you can try to glue it with glue-sealant, for example, Permatex 81730 or Abro 11AB-R.

Most of the owners of washing machines of the Russian company leave positive reviews about this technique. The authors of the reviews call the main advantages of semi-automatic models their low cost, compactness, low weight and independence from the presence of a water supply system. Another advantage of this technique, its owners consider a short, relatively automatic models, washing and subsequent rinsing cycle (up to 15 minutes). In some reviews, the ability to add things to the machine right during the washing process is noted as an advantage.

As the main disadvantage of these units, most of their owners indicate a large number of manual operations during the washing process. The lack of a system, protection against leaks, often raises criticism. Some owners have encountered inadequate hoses to fill and drain the tank. Owners of models equipped with a drain pump (for example, WAT-60PT) often indicate a high level of noise when draining as a minus.
