Automatic washing machines have become so firmly established in the everyday life of a modern person that if they stop working, panic begins. Most often, if some kind of malfunction has occurred in the device, a certain code is displayed on its display. Therefore, there is no need to panic. You need to find out what exactly this error means and how exactly it can be solved. Therefore, in this article we will look at the main error codes of Haier machines, the reasons for their occurrence and how to eliminate them.

Malfunctions and their decoding

Modern automatic washing machines are equipped with a special self-diagnosis function. This means that in the event of any malfunction, a numerical error code appears on the display - a code. Having learned its meaning, you can try to solve the problem yourself.

If the device does not work, and the code is not displayed on the display, you must perform the following actions:

  • simultaneously press two buttons - "Delayed start" and "Without draining";
  • now close the door and wait for it to automatically lock;
  • after no more than 15 seconds, automatic diagnostics will start.

At its end, the machine will either work properly, or a digital code will appear on its display. The first step is to try to reset it. For this:

  • disconnect the fully automatic washing machine from the mains;
  • wait at least 10 minutes;
  • turn it on again and activate the washing mode.

If these actions did not help and the code is also displayed on the scoreboard, then you need to find out its meaning:

  • ERR1 (E1) - the selected operating mode of the device is not activated;
  • ERR2 (E2) - the tank empties too slowly from water;
  • ERR3 (E3) and ERR4 (E4) - problems with water heating: it either does not heat up at all, or does not reach the minimum required temperature for proper operation;
  • ERR5 (E5) - no water enters the washing machine tank at all;
  • ERR6 (E6) - the connecting circuit of the main unit is completely or partially worn out;
  • ERR7 (E7) - the electronic board of the washing machine is faulty;
  • ERR8 (E8), ERR9 (E9) and ERR10 (E10) - problems with water: this is either overflow of water, or too much water in the tank and in the machine as a whole;
  • UNB (UNB) - this error indicates an imbalance, this may be due to an unevenly installed device or because inside the drum all things have gotten together in one pile;
  • EUAR - the electronics of the control system is out of order;
  • NO SALT (no salt) - the detergent used is not suitable for the washing machine / forgot to add / too much detergent has been added.

When the error code is set, you can proceed directly to solving the problem. But here it is worth understanding that in some cases it is necessary to contact a repair specialist, and not try to solve the problem on your own, so as not to worsen the situation.

Reasons for the appearance

Errors in the operation of any washing machine cannot just happen. Most often they are a consequence of:

  • power surges;
  • too hard water level;
  • improper operation of the device itself;
  • lack of preventive examination and timely minor repairs;
  • non-observance of safety precautions.

In some cases, too frequent occurrence of such errors is a sign that the life of the automatic washing machine is nearing the end.

But preventing the occurrence of such situations is much easier than solving the problem itself later. Therefore, when purchasing a Haier machine, you must:

  • to install it correctly - for this it is best to use a building level;
  • use only detergents recommended by the manufacturer for washing and cleaning or protecting the device from limescale;
  • timely carry out a preventive inspection of the device and minor repairs;
  • use only original spare parts if necessary.

But if, despite all the precautions, the error code is still displayed on the machine's display, and it itself does not work as it should, the problem must be solved immediately.

How to fix it?

Each error in the operation of an automatic washing machine is solved in different ways.

  • E1. This code appears when the door of the appliance itself is not properly closed. You just need to press the hatch more tightly to the body of the machine until you hear a click. If this does not help, unplug the device, turn it on again and close the door. If this attempt was unsuccessful, then it is necessary to replace the lock and the handle on the door.
  • E2. In this situation, it is necessary to check the correct operation of the pump and the integrity of its winding. It is also necessary to clean the filter and drain hose from dirt and foreign objects that can impede the drainage of water.
  • E3. Failure of the thermistor is easily solved - it is necessary to check the integrity and serviceability of the wiring and install a new sensor. All wiring must be replaced if necessary.
  • E4. Visually inspect the connecting chain. If there is a problem, replace it completely. Check the working order of the heating heating element, if it does not work, replace it with a new one.
  • E5. If such an error occurs, it is necessary to check if there is water in the line. If there is, then thoroughly rinse the filter mesh in a citric acid solution until completely cleaned. Did not help? Then the coils of the solenoid valve should be replaced.
  • E6. It is necessary to find the exact fault in the main unit and replace the required sections.
  • E7. When the problem lies in the faults of the electronic board, its complete replacement is required, but only with the original manufacturer's board.
  • E8. It is necessary to check the integrity and serviceability of the pressure sensors, and also to clean the hoses from dirt and all debris. It is also necessary to inspect the triac and, if necessary, replace its pressostat on the board.
  • E9. This error code appears only when the protective membrane of the exhaust valve fails. Only its complete replacement will help here.
  • E10. Full diagnostics of the pressure switch, if the relay breaks down, its complete replacement is required. If the relay is working properly, just clean the contacts.
  • UNB. Disconnect the automatic washing machine from the mains, level its body. Open the drum and distribute the items evenly in it. Start a wash cycle.
  • NO SALT. Turn off the machine and remove the detergent dispenser. Remove powder from it and rinse thoroughly. Add a detergent recommended by the manufacturer and activate the operation.

If the electronic display of the device displays an EUAR error, this means that all the control electronics are out of order. In this case, it is forbidden to try to somehow solve the problem with your own hands - you should seek help from specialists.

Finally, I want to say. That errors in the operation of Haier brand washing machines occur quite rarely. But if they appear, especially when it is required to diagnose electronic circuits or replace complex parts, it is best to call a wizard or contact a service center.

Such actions require the availability of certain tools and knowledge that the common man in the street does not always have.
