It would seem that it is not difficult to acquire a stove. However, there are many models from different manufacturers. The Dream stove is a good choice.

Specifications

The producer of kitchen stoves "Dream" started its work in the household segment in 1968. For many years the enterprise had a confirmed state quality mark. Over the past half century, more than 12 million slabs have already been made. Success is guaranteed due to the fact that production is carried out at the facilities of the military-industrial complex. The quality of the products is not questioned.

Plates "Dream", both gas and electric, are in stable demand from consumers in different countries. This is due to both the acceptable price level and the optimal reliability of the structures. No other Russian manufacturer has managed to achieve such a high thermal efficiency. The name "Dream" is fully justified also thanks to the impeccable modern design. The rulers are updated annually.

Electric ranges "Dream" can have cast iron burners or tubular electric heaters. Ovens are equipped with lighting systems and thermostats. The floor-standing models have 4 standard operating modes that provide top and bottom heating control.

Gas stoves "Dream" are designed for the consumption of propane-butane. The developers provide for a minimum flame mode. Each model has been issued certificates of compliance with technical requirements and fire safety standards. The gas stove, like the electric one, has an enamelled body. Such designs are good both in urban dwellings and in the field.

Types and popular models

There are many modifications of the Dream slabs. They are all in the budget category, but they are of excellent quality. 4-burner versions are popular in Russia and abroad. This is the number of burners needed to prepare food for an ordinary family. Burners in these versions are often made of cast iron.

We are talking about versions such as:

  • 12-06-03C;
  • 12-06;
  • 12-06-03Sat.

    Burners based on heating elements are sometimes used. The only representative of this group is 12-03.

    Cast iron burners are easy to maintain. However, they are characterized by high thermal inertia. And also when in contact with cold water or when struck by heavy dishes, cast iron easily cracks. The heating element, which is rapidly heating up and rapidly cooling, is bad because all the crumbs and spilled liquids dry out under the heater.

    Some of the electric stoves are equipped with so-called express burners. They are equipped with heating elements of increased power (not 1-1.5, but 2 kW). The hobs are covered with glass enamel, which is resistant to mechanical stress. Such a coating is guaranteed to retain its qualities at significant temperatures. Even the Dream models, which have been in operation for 10-15 years, do not lose their visual appeal.

    "Dream 211H"

    A good example of a Dream electric cooker is the 211Ch model. It does not include an oven. Product dimensions are 0.54X0.296X0.09 m. Control is performed mechanically. There is no timer, no display and no clock.

    211T VK

    The 211T VK modification is considered a completely reliable device. The two-burner ergonomic design heats food with spiral heaters.

    12-06-03 Sat

    Another option for stoves with two burners is model 12-06-03 СБ. According to the manufacturer, reliable glass enamel is used for the manufacture of the hob.

    The main advantages of such a solution are:

    • excellent abrasion resistance;
    • ease of cleaning;
    • long-term preservation of an attractive appearance.

      The power indicator is placed on the control panel. The oven is equipped with a lighting system. Therefore, the observation of the food being prepared is possible with the doors closed. Double heat-resistant glass is provided. The thermostat is designed to maintain a precisely set temperature.

      The highest energy consumption in this stove is 5.3 kW. Cast iron electric burners work very reliably and stably. You can change their power in steps (setting 1 of 7 levels). The oven capacity reaches 48.7 liters.

      "Dream 29"

      But sometimes a smaller electric stove is required: in which there are 2 burners with an oven. In this case, Dream 29 will come in handy. White and black enamel is used in its production. The manufacturer promises that the product will last 10 years. The first 2 years come with a proprietary warranty.

      The stove is really compact and can be installed in a small kitchen.

      At dachas, in a suburban home, such an advantage is very valuable. The highest operating current is 16 A. Therefore installation of "Dream 29" is possible in any building where there is a typical modern electrical wiring.

      The hotplates will be warmed up in a maximum of 3 minutes. There is a compartment for unused dishes. The scope of delivery includes a baking sheet with an enamel coating and a grid for frying and drying food. The greatest power consumption at Mechta 29 is 2.2 kW. Net weight is 25 kg. With similar characteristics, the 251Ch electric stove weighs 29.5 kg.

      "Dream 100M"

      The Ural manufacturer also has gas models. The Dream 100M cooker is designed for desktop installation. It can run on liquefied gas. Important: switching to natural gas is permissible only when purchasing replacement parts from the company's service centers. The small size of "100M" allows you to easily move it anywhere.

      The designers took care of stable gas combustion in the least intensive mode. Equally important are the anti-slip foot pads. Thanks to them, installation on a smooth base is possible. The stove runs on liquefied gas only. The only accessory in the delivery set is the grill. Both burners produce 1.7 kW of heat.

      "Dream 200M"

      Dream 200M also runs on gas. It requires liquefied fuel. In the same way, conversion to classic natural gas is allowed. The company description indicates that the slab has a fairly compact size (0.5X0.285X0.115 m).

      "Dream 221-01 GE"

      Completing the review is appropriate on combination plates. Dream 221-01 GE is quite compact and can be used even in a small kitchen. Two heating elements are installed in her electric oven (one on top, the other on the bottom), so food is heated more efficiently. Importantly, the stand allows you to use the stove both on the floor and on the table.

      For work, both natural and liquefied gas can be used; the burners are started by an electric ignition device.

      The design allows you to reconfigure the stove at your discretion, to adapt it to various types of gas. The equipment is also attractive.

      The stove is supplied with:

      • enamel baking sheet;
      • grills for frying and for hobs;
      • shield;
      • weak throttle screws;
      • injectors.

        The electrical part and the electric ignition unit are designed for household current with standard values. The heat output of a single burner is 3.4 kW. Electricity consumption in the oven is 1.2 kW. It can maintain a temperature of 50-300 °.

        The dimensions of the device are as follows:

        • width - 0.5 m;
        • depth - 0.43 m;
        • height - 0.85 m.

          The largest weight is 19.5 kg.As with other products, the service life is 10 years, the warranty period is 2 years.

          "Dream 251-01 GE"

          The “Dream 251-01 GE” slab can be considered as an alternative. According to its characteristics, it differs little, the difference concerns only dimensions: 0.5X0.6X0.85 m. In addition, this plate is heavier - up to 25.2 kg.

          "Dream 450 GE"

          There is one more stationary model - "Dream 450 GE".

          As in other models, there are:

          • low flame mode;
          • indication of the start of the electric burner;
          • double heat-resistant glass;
          • compartment for storing dishes;
          • a thermostat that maintains a temperature of 50-300 °.

          Selection Tips

          When choosing, you need to take into account some of the nuances.

          • The number of burners matters (heating positions). The 1-burner hob is very small. But such products are very rare. They are needed only for occasionally visited summer cottages. It is easy to warm up a kettle or warm up a small dish on these stoves. The 1-hotplate is not suitable for the complete preparation of even the simplest dishes. The two-burner hob model has more options. Moreover, in a limited space, at the same summer cottages, it is convenient to use such stoves. If necessary, expanding the working area due to an additional insert will not be difficult.

          For small kitchens where you need to prepare meals for a family of three or four people, 3-burner countertops are better suited. The classic solution, however, is the four-burner hob. It allows you to prepare a large number of dishes in a short time.

            • Take into account the size of the kitchen and the dimensions of the stove... It should be 0.6 - 1 m from the sink to the stove, and at least 0.3 m from any edge of the panel to any wall. These parameters are the same for both gas and electric panels.
            • Selecting a surface type... The enamel coating has been used for many decades because it is cheap and quite resistant to destructive effects. But it is bad to clean enamel from fat, boiled milk, broth. Moreover, even careful handling does not help to avoid the appearance of small cracks and scratches over time. Therefore, it is worth taking a closer look at stainless steel hobs. They perfectly tolerate strong heat and even mechanical stress.

            It must be remembered that steel only looks good in modern interiors. If the kitchen is decorated in a classic style, steel will be out of place.

              The stainless steel is not covered with deep scratches, especially chips. The steel plate can be easily washed from food residues. However, it cannot be cleaned with abrasive powders. The steel surface is often covered with highly visible fingerprints, and therefore will have to be scrubbed systematically.

              An attractive feature of glass ceramic surfaces is both design and functionality. But you need to understand that care requires special means. Glass ceramics are painted only black.

              • Acquaintance with the features of the oven... It is very good if it has a convection mode. Such designs improve air distribution during cooking. Oven lighting is absent only in the cheapest stove modifications: additional functions invariably increase the price. "Dream 29", for all its merits, does not have gas control and timer.
              • Choosing an electric or gas stove... Gas products are cheaper than similar electrical devices, and the fire is much easier to regulate than heating elements. Almost all experienced chefs prefer gas: it allows you to heat dishes and food in it faster. No wonder: an open flame is much hotter than a red-hot disc. Moreover, blue fuel is cheaper than electricity.

                Burning gas threatens with fire, and if methane and propane-butane escape, massive poisoning and explosions will inevitably occur.

                Another weakness of gas stoves is that the temperature in the oven cannot be set exactly.But if this problem can be avoided by using a mixed model, then natural gas additives made for different purposes will still be inconvenient: after combustion, they can smell unpleasant. Gas leaves a lot of soot, and moisture will accumulate in a closed room with poor ventilation. Finally, in a home with small children, an electric stove is definitely safer. You need to choose it if you need a functional oven and there is no desire to constantly fight with soot, and safety is in the foreground.

                The use of electric stoves outside the city must be carefully considered. Although there are lower electricity tariffs, there is often a lack of grid capacity outside a large population center.

                • Carefully study all the reviews about a particular modelbefore making your final choice.

                How to connect?

                Gas kitchen equipment should be installed exclusively by professionals. An electrical device can be installed on its own by studying the connection diagram. First of all, you should check whether the wiring in the house will withstand.

                For electric stoves, only a copper stranded cable is suitable, the cross-section of which is more than 4 mm 2. And for especially powerful plates - from 6 mm 2.

                It is equally important to connect the wiring to circuit breakers rated for the highest current (with a margin of one rating). They also check the readiness of the socket and plug, their compliance with the load. An RCD must be used.

                Only compliance with these requirements guarantees complete safety.

                Before installation, make sure that you have all the spare parts and accessories that should be included in the kit. And the most powerful plates are best connected not through a plug, but through a terminal block.

                During operation, the phasing of the connection should be strictly observed. The connection is made only in a place where there is no risk of moisture. Each part of the wire is securely fastened.

                Instructions for use

                For the safe functioning of the stove, a number of rules must be followed.

                • Plates "Dream" should only be connected to AC mains rated for a voltage of 220 V. Do not use them where there is no grounding contact.
                • It is forbidden to install both gas and electric stoves in rooms that do not meet the requirements of technical documentation.
                • If the stove does not work, it must be de-energized, and only then inspect and look for a problem. It is strictly forbidden to change any parts: only qualified specialists have the right to replace them.
                • Also, only employees of the gas industry and accredited organizations have the right to change the place of installation of the gas stove.
                • In case of problems with the gas burner, you can clean it from the outside and remove debris from the accessible passages. However, only trained specialists have the right to disassemble this part and other elements of the pipeline.
                • It is strongly recommended that you read the entire technical documentation before searching for the cause of a particular problem.
                • Work with electric heaters (heating element, spiral), as well as with a thermostat and a mode switch, with electronic components in artisanal conditions is unacceptable.
                • Even such a simple procedure as changing a deformed power cord should only be carried out by employees of service centers. Do not use thermostats and other spare parts that do not have certificates of conformity for a specific stove.
                • All stains and other contaminants must be washed off immediately. For this purpose, use only the products recommended by the manufacturer.
                • It is undesirable to use cookware with a damp bottom (it is also bad for a gas stove, although to a lesser extent than for an electric stove). Do not use pans with too narrow or wide bottoms.
                • It is forbidden to turn on the gas or the burners of the electric stove "empty" (without dishes or with empty dishes). Ventilate the room before igniting gas.
                • If water or any other liquid gets inside the kitchen appliance, it should be shown to specialists.
                • It is not allowed to operate any plates, the body and external parts of which are at least under low voltage.
                • The 4-position switch must be positioned so that the working contacts are closed. This will maximize the resistance of the circuit while increasing heat. If electricity comes in, but the stove does not work, you should check all the contacts with a tester: professional repairmen will have to look for a problem less. The heating elements of the burners are checked sequentially.
