The Soviet-style interior is very familiar to those who lived the era of the 70-80s of the last century. Now this style is being recreated by those who are drawn to the past by nostalgia, and who want to plunge into that atmosphere and feel themselves on an island of their inner comfort. Another reason for recreating this style is the presence of old furniture, which, if desired, can be given a second life and at the same time create coziness. One way or another, but it is worth understanding in more detail what the features are interior in the Soviet style.

Style features

It is very easy to recreate this style, absolutely not spending global funds on repairs and the purchase of furniture.

In the Soviet style, everything is laconic and modest, pieces of furniture are distinguished by their functionality, but decorative elements, of course, are present, and each era has its own.

Consider these nuances in more detail based on the time and its conditions, which, of course, were reflected in the interior of the apartments of the Soviet people.

  • 40s. While decorating their homes, people at that time did not think about any style, at all. It was a minimum of furniture and the usual whitewashing or painting, the main thing was that it was clean and there were a minimum of the most necessary things.

If now someone wants to recreate this style, then it will be enough to whitewash the ceiling, stick the simplest wallpaper on the walls, make a wooden floor and acquire the following furniture:

  • metal bed;
  • wardrobe;
  • dresser;
  • round table with chairs;
  • sideboard for dishes.

Shelves, shelves for books, mirrors can be an addition.

As a decor simple bedspreads, tablecloths, napkins, lampshades can be used. In a richer version, it is a laconic leather sofa, massive oak furniture, beautiful dishes, carpets.

  • 50s... More attention is paid to the interior. On the floor, you can often find parquet, on the walls - good wallpaper. Tiered chandeliers or cozy large lampshades are relevant. The status of the owners played a role. Therefore, even now it is possible to reproduce that era using different techniques. But do not forget that a gramophone and a black and white TV will look very harmonious in this style. The phone should also be of the appropriate design.
  • 60-70s... Various furniture sets may already be relevant here. A sofa and armchairs are suitable for receiving guests. But it should be a pull-out sofa that can easily turn into a sleeping place at night. It is customary to place a sideboard in the hall, in which dishes for especially solemn occasions are stored behind a sliding glass, and linen and other things are stored in the upper and lower drawers with keys.

Carpets on the walls and rugs on the floor became a characteristic feature of the interior - this was a symbol of comfort... At the same time, making repairs and striving to recreate this particular era, you can also glue wallpaper, paint walls, whitewash ceilings. Hanging chandeliers, table lamps, sconces are all welcome, as is crystal. Do not forget about the reel-to-reel tape recorder, and about the TV - symbols of comfort and a certain wealth.

Color spectrum

As for the choice of colors, it is very small. Mostly no frills. Any apartment can be decorated like this:

  • white ceiling whitewashed with lime;
  • brown enamel floors;
  • more possibilities for decorating a room could be provided by wallpaper, and that is all the same discreet tones.

To revive the interior of the same living room, you can use carpets, curtains, other decor, for example, furniture covers, lamps, vases, flowers.All this will create bright accents.

In addition, you can actively use paintings, family photos in frames. On the dressers, vases, napkins, porcelain figurines will look quite appropriate; in the sideboard, they can also take such an honorable place among the sets of festive dishes.

In bathrooms and toilets more often you can find wall coloring using blue and green shades.

But these days there are more possibilities, so you can experiment with the color scheme.

Furnishings

To recreate the Soviet era, it is enough to place a so-called wall near one of the walls, which consisted from several cabinets... One of them housed ceremonial dishes, the other - books, the third - textiles. All this can be complemented by a wardrobe. There must be a niche in the wall in which you can place a TV, tape recorder.

The other wall must be present a sofa, armchairs and a coffee table will also be a comfortable addition.

Instead of a wall, a sideboard, a chest of drawers, a secretaire can be located in the room. It all depends on the purpose of this room.

In the hallway, there must be a dressing table with one mirror or a three-part mirror.

The bedroom may be present bed with a net, but with wooden headboards, the simplest wardrobe with hinged doors.

Kitchen is also simple. Several wall cabinets, complemented by a pedestal table. A dining table with stools or chairs will complement the interior.

Beautiful examples of the interior

Despite the fact that the Soviet style seems to be very modest, this does not mean that it is impossible to create comfort in such apartments.

It all depends on the desire and imagination of the owner himself.

And examples of this can be found a lot. Here is some of them.

  • Simple and cozy in such a living room... Discreet shades allow you to rest and relax. A rack with books and figurines, a sofa with a coffee table, a floor lamp - all in neutral colors. The picture on the wall can be considered a bright accent.
  • The corner with a sideboard with dishes, a round table with a tablecloth and napkins seems to be quite cozy and cute.... A small black and white TV on the bedside table, a walkway on the floor harmoniously complement this setting. It is very easy to feel like in the seventies of the last century in such an interior.
  • A round table with chairs under a chandelier, a mirror, paintings, a bookcase - all this is another option for decorating housing of the Soviet era... As an additional decoration, vases, flowers, napkins, tulle curtains. Simple and cute. You can't get away from nostalgia in such a space.
