The following options can be used as a basis:

1. Wooden slats or slats. Such planks retain the required elasticity and rigidity. The load and service life of the bed depend on their number and the distance between them.
2. Metal grid. Due to the strength of the metal base, the service life of the bed will be as long as possible, but due to the lack of the required rigidity, the mesh sags under the weight of the body and, over time, forms the effect of a hammock.
3. Sheet material. Such a basis means materials - chipboard, MDF and plywood. The price of products with such a frame will be much cheaper than the other two options, but the service life is also shorter.

There are three main types of mattresses:

1. Foam - the product is not of the highest quality, often has orthopedic properties, but is distinguished by its fragility.

The cost of the bed directly depends on the materials used. Three materials are used for the frame and base:

• Wood. The most durable, environmentally friendly material that suits almost all interiors. For the manufacture of bedroom furniture, oak, beech, pine, alder or cherry are most often chosen. All these materials are distinguished by their strength and do not emit harmful vapors, unlike chipboard or plywood. In addition to wood, rattan is considered to be of high quality and wear-resistant; it is it that has been used in furniture production more often than other materials in recent years. Despite its lightness, it is very durable.
• Metal. Beds on a metal base and with a metal headboard look unusual and elegant, but the coldness of the metal is not pleasant to many people. Wrought iron beds are at the peak of popularity today. They are used in modern modern or high-tech styles.
• Chipboard, MDF and metal-plastic. These materials are considered the cheapest and least reliable options. Some experts also consider them to be unsafe for health.

As for the upholstery, it can be made of any kind of fabric, including leather.

The presence of a headboard ensures a sound, healthy sleep, holds the pillow and protects the wallpaper from abrasion.

There are three main headboard options:

1. Combined with the bed.
2. United with the wall.
3. In the form of bedside furniture.

Headboards can also be low or high, hard or soft, of different geometric shapes and textures.

When choosing, you need to consider several important features:

• Style bedrooms.
• The size... It depends on the parameters and weight of the sleeper. For the most comfortable sleep, from 15 to 20 cm is added to the height of the potential owner. The resulting length will be the most comfortable.
• Height. To determine the ideal bed height, just walk up to the bed. Choose one where your knees are flush with the mattress.
• Material. When choosing a material of construction, it is important to consider the following: if you choose metal as the base material, make sure it is covered with anti-corrosion protective agents, this will allow washing the bed without exposing it to rust and will extend its life. When choosing wood as the main material, pay attention to solid wood.

Various items can be used as accessories. Here are some of the most popular ones:

• Canopy. The advantage of the canopy is that it creates privacy. It is most often used for children's rooms, despite the fact that it collects dust and blocks the proper flow of oxygen during sleep.

• Upholstery decorative elements. With their help, the necessary entourage is created, but they can also be harmful to health - they accumulate dust, dirt and bed mites. If the decor is made in the form of folds, then there will be problems with their cleaning. If there are small children or animals in the house, all fabric upholstery loses its appearance over time, and the overall appearance of the bed becomes unaesthetic.
