Bimatek is described differently from one source to another. There are statements about both German and Russian origin of the brand. But in any case, the Bimatek air conditioner deserves close attention, because it shows itself from the best side.

Model line

It is appropriate to start a review of the group's products with the Bimatek AM310. This modern mobile air conditioner cannot, however, work in automatic mode. But on the other hand, it is able to cool air with a power of up to 2.3 kW. The largest dispensed air flow is 4 cu. m. in 60 seconds. Maintaining the required temperature in a room up to 20 m2 is guaranteed.

Other features are as follows:

  • self-diagnosis option is not provided;

  • filtration at a fine level is not carried out;

  • deodorizing mode and saturation of the atmosphere with anions are not provided, as well as regulation of the direction of air jets;

  • you can change the fan speed;

  • air drying mode is used;

  • when the cooling program is selected, 0.8 kW of current is consumed per hour.

The noise level is not regulated and is always 53 dB. The height of the air conditioner is 0.62 m. At the same time, its width is 0.46 m, and its depth is 0.33 m. The delivery set includes a remote control. Start and shutdown by timer are provided.

R410A refrigerant is used for heat dissipation. The total weight of the air conditioner is 23 kg, and the proprietary warranty is given for 1 year. The body of the Hong Kong industry product is painted white.

Bimatek AM400 can be considered as an alternative. This air conditioner is performed according to the scheme of a mobile monoblock. The air flow thrown out to the outside can reach 6.67 cubic meters. m per minute. When cooled, the operating power is 2.5 kW, and it is consumed - 0.83 kW of current. The system is able to work “just for ventilation” (without cooling or warming up the air). There is also an automatic mode. In the drying room, up to 1 liter of water is taken out of the air in 1 hour.

Important: The AM400 is not designed for supply ventilation. A remote control and an on / off timer are provided. There is no outdoor unit. The dimensions of the structure are 0.46x0.76x0.395 m. The substance R407 was selected for heat removal.

Sound volume ranges from 38 to 48 dB. For normal operation, the air conditioner must be connected to single-phase networks. There are 3 different fan speeds, but fine air purification is not performed. It is guaranteed that the required temperature is maintained on an area of up to 25 sq. m.

A device such as the Bimatek AM403 will also be worthy of a separate analysis. The device differs in consumption class A. The largest jet delivered is 5.5 cubic meters. m. in 60 seconds. According to the international classification, the cooling capacity is 9500 BTU. When operating for cooling, the actual power of the device reaches 2.4 kW, and the hourly current consumption is 0.8 kW. There are 3 modes:

  • clean ventilation;

  • maintaining the reached temperature;

  • minimally noisy operation at night.

Constructively implemented control from the remote control and using a timer. The overall volume level is not adjustable and is 59 dB. The total weight of the air conditioner is 23 kg. A display is provided to provide the necessary information. The overall dimensions of the system are 0.45x0.7635x0.365 m.

It is worth taking a closer look at the Bimatek AM402 modification. This is a rather "weighty" box, it feels like 30-35 kg. The delivery set includes a corrugated pipe with a large cross-section, as well as a control panel. Programs of "clean" ventilation and, in fact, air conditioning have been implemented.

There is even an option to automatically adjust the device to a changing situation. An important function is the presence of memory, which is retained even when disconnected from the network.

It is curious that the 402 provided the function of self-diagnosis with the display of messages about the detected problems. A nice feature is the presence of a flange that allows you to install the air conditioner on a wall or even on a glass surface. Then it will be possible to operate it in a stationary mode, simply by drilling a hole and bringing the pipe out into the open air.

The next promising model is the Bimatek A-1009 MHR. A decent mobile monoblock will be able to air conditioning on an area of 16-18 square meters. m. Delivery of a flow up to 6 m3 per minute is guaranteed. In cooling mode, the power of the device is 2.2 kW. At the same time, the system consumes 0.9 kW of current. The air drying mode is also provided, in which 0.75 kW is consumed. The total volume during operation is 52 dB.

The 1109 MHR has a cooling capacity of 9000 BTU. In this mode, the total power reaches 3 kW, and 0.98 kW of current is consumed. Air heating and cooling modes are available. The air flow rate is 6 m3 per minute. When cooling, 0.98 kW of current is spent, and when drying, up to 1.2 liters of liquid can be removed from the air per hour; overall volume - 46 dB.

Selection Tips

Almost all Bimatek air conditioners are of the floor type. Since mobile technology has a number of limitations and not always all possible modes are implemented at the design level, one should immediately inquire about the functionality of the purchased devices. Important: when using air conditioners for the home, you need to cool the air at a temperature of 17-30 degrees; sometimes the boundaries of the permissible are 16-35 degrees. It makes no sense to look for devices with wider cooling capabilities in the household segment. In addition to the general power recommendations given by the manufacturer, you need to consider:

  • number and dimensions of window openings;

  • orientation of windows in relation to cardinal points;

  • the presence of additional equipment and furniture in the room;

  • features of air circulation;

  • use of other ventilation devices;

  • the specifics of the heating system.

Therefore, in some cases, the right choice can be made only after consultation with professionals. The simplest estimate is made as follows: divide the total area of the room by 10. As a result, the required number of kilowatts is obtained (the thermal power of the device). You can increase the accuracy of calculating the power of an air conditioner by multiplying the area by the height of the walls and by the so-called sun coefficient. Then add the flow of heat from household appliances and electronics, from other sources.

The solar coefficient is taken:

  • 0.03 kW per 1 cu. m. in rooms facing north and dimly lit;

  • 0.035 kW per 1 cu. m. subject to normal lighting;

  • 0.04 kW per 1 cu. m. for rooms with windows facing south, or with a large glazing area.

Additional input of thermal energy from an adult is 0.12-0.13 kW / h. When a computer is running in the room, it adds 0.3-0.4 kWh. The TV already gives 0.6-0.7 kW / h of heat. To convert the capacity of an air conditioner from British thermal units (BTU) to watts, multiply this figure by 0.2931. Attention should also be paid to how the control is carried out.

The simplest option is electromechanical control knobs and buttons. The absence of unnecessary elements greatly simplifies the work. But the problem is the lack of protection against overly frequent launches. If they occur, it is likely that the resource will drop and equipment breakdown. We'll have to make sure that such launches do not occur; in addition, mechanical control is not economical enough.

Apparatus with electronic controls, designed for the use of remote controls, are very practical. Timers are also a convenient option. But it is important to consider how long the timer is designed for and what the real functionality of the remote control is.Sometimes the remote control is limited in its capabilities, and at least some of the manipulations will have to be carried out by approaching the devices themselves. You should definitely pay attention to:

  • feedback on specific models;

  • their dimensions (so that they can be put in a certain place);

  • automatic retention of the required temperature (this option is extremely useful);

  • the presence of a night mode (valuable when installing an air conditioner in the bedroom).

Appeal

Of course, all spare parts for the repair of Bimatek HVAC equipment need to be purchased only from serious official suppliers. The refrigerant for charging should also be taken from authorized Bimatek dealers. Important: we must not forget that an air conditioner is an electrical device, and all the same safety requirements apply to it as to other household electrical equipment. Connection of the air conditioner is possible only to a power source grounded in accordance with all the rules. In case of the slightest mechanical damage, you need to de-energize the device and seek professional help.

Do not put climatic equipment in the same room with flammable substances. The condition of the filters should be assessed at least once every 30 days. Do not install in a location where the inlet and outlet are blocked by a curtain or other obstruction. Night mode can be set only by commands from the remote control. If the air conditioner had to be moved or transported in a horizontal position, after installing it in a new place, wait at least 60 minutes before turning it on.
