The choice of finishing materials for the interior is a very important step. This also applies to paints and varnishes. It is important to pay attention to what characteristics the paint has, how to work with it and how long it will last.

Enamel KO-8101 is very popular among consumers. You will learn about what qualities make the material in demand from the article.

Properties and qualities

Enamel KO-8101 is a modern paint and varnish material produced using the latest technologies. The paint has high durability and can be used even for painting the roof.

Below is a list of properties and characteristics:

  • protection of the surface from rust;
  • does not wear off and does not fade;
  • has water-repellent properties;
  • environmentally friendly material;
  • refractory;
  • withstands temperatures from -60 to +605 degrees.

Areas of use

Enamel of this class has a fairly wide range of applications. It can be used not only in the interior, but also for outdoor work. Due to its moisture resistance and ability to withstand high temperatures, the material is used in order to renew a worn out and burnt-out roof. The paint is easy to apply, making the surface perfectly flat. You can also cover a brick or concrete surface with this material.

The layer in this case will have to be made thicker, and due to the rough surface, the material consumption will increase.

Enamel KO-8101 is widely used in the automotive industry. Here the main role is played by the fact that the paint creates a protective layer on the parts and does not corrode. Engine parts, exhaust pipes and even wheel rims will retain their original appearance for a long time. It is also worth noting that the most common colors are black and silver. This adds presentability to the details.

Very often, paint is used in production (factories, workshops, factories) and in rooms with high daily traffic (cafes, galleries, gyms, clubs) as a finishing material. The enamel has increased wear resistance, therefore, it is able to withstand heavy loads. The paint is not affected by oils, petroleum products and chemical solutions.

Applying enamel to the surface

When you buy paint, you need to ask the seller for a certificate of conformity and a quality passport. This will ensure that you have purchased good material that will last a long time. Painting any surface requires preparation and is carried out in several stages.

Stage 1: surface preparation

Before you start painting, you should take care of the cleanliness of the surface. It should be free of dust, moisture and other liquids. If necessary, degrease the material with a common solvent. To do this, apply a small amount to a rag and wipe the surface thoroughly.

It is not recommended to apply enamel to an already painted product. If, nevertheless, some material has already been applied before, then it is better to get rid of it as much as possible. This will ensure that the paint will lay flat and will not lag behind over time.

Stage 2: applying the enamel

Shake the enamel thoroughly until smooth, then open the lid and check the viscosity of the material. It can be thinned with solvent if necessary. The enamel should be applied to the surface in two layers, taking a break between applications for about two hours.If concrete, brick or plaster acts as a surface, then the number of layers should be at least three.

Stage 3: heat treatment

Heat treatment of paint occurs within 15-20 minutes at a temperature of over 200 degrees. This is necessary to protect the surface from the influence of substances such as gasoline, kerosene, oil. These aggressive solutions can significantly shorten the life of the film.

With proper use of the material, the consumption per 1 m2 will be from 55 to 175 grams. You need to store the paint in a dark room, away from direct sunlight at a temperature of no more than 15 degrees.

    Super paint: easy to apply, economical. But there is one caveat - although it is safe when drying, when applied, it is terribly poisonous. It is better to paint only in the air or in a gas mask indoors.
