TechnoNICOL is one of the most famous manufacturers of thermal insulation materials. The company has been operating since the beginning of the nineties; it focuses on the production of mineral insulation. Ten years ago, the TechnoNICOL corporation established the Isobox trademark. Thermal plates made of rocks have shown themselves to be excellent in work at a wide variety of objects: from private households to workshops of industrial enterprises.

Peculiarities

The insulating material Isobox is manufactured using advanced technologies on modern equipment. The material has unique qualities and is not inferior to the best world analogues. It can be used in almost all parts of construction projects. The excellent thermal conductivity of mineral wool is ensured by its unique structure. Microfibers are arranged in a haphazard, chaotic order. There are air cavities between them, which provide excellent thermal insulation. Mineral slabs can be arranged in several layers, leaving a gap between them for air exchange.

Insulation Isobox can be easily mounted on inclined and vertical planes, most often it can be found on such structural elements:

  • roof;
  • indoor walls;
  • facades covered with siding;
  • all kinds of overlap between floors;
  • attics;
  • loggias and balconies;
  • wood floors.

The quality of the company's insulation is getting better from year to year, this is noted by both ordinary citizens and professional craftsmen. The manufacturer packs all the boards in a vacuum package, which improves the complex insulation and safety of the products. It is worth remembering that moisture and condensation are extremely undesirable substances for mineral heat plates. Their impact has a detrimental effect on the technical performance of the material. Therefore, the main task is to provide high-quality insulation of basalt thermal plates. If you follow the installation technology correctly, the insulation will last a long time.

Products of any modifications are sold in sizes 100x50 cm and 120x60 cm.The thickness can be from five to twenty centimeters. The material is ideal for facade siding. The excellent density of the material makes it possible to easily withstand significant loads. Plates do not deform or crumble over time, they perfectly tolerate both heat and winter cold.

"Vent Ultra" are basalt slabs that are used to insulate external walls with a "ventilated facade" system. There must be an air gap between the wall and the cladding, through which air exchange can take place. Air is not only an effective heat insulator, it also prevents condensation from accumulating, eliminates favorable conditions for the appearance of mold or mildew.

Technical characteristics of insulation Isobox "Vent":

  • density - 72-88 kg / m3;
  • thermal conductivity - 0.037 W / m • K;
  • water absorption by volume - no more than 1.4%;
  • vapor permeability - not less than 0.3 mg / (m • h • Pa);
  • presence of organic matter - no more than 2.9%;
  • tensile strength - 3 kPa.

Isobox "Facade" is used for external insulation. After fixing the basalt slabs on the wall, they are processed with putty. This material is often used for the treatment of concrete structures, plinths, flat roofs. Isobox "Facade" material can be treated with plaster, it has a dense surface. He showed himself well as a floor insulation.

Technical indicators of the material:

  • density - 130-158 kg / m3;
  • thermal conductivity - 0.038 W / m • K;
  • water absorption by volume (subject to full immersion) - no more than 1.5%;
  • vapor permeability - not less than 0.3 mg / (m • h • Pa);
  • organic substances that make up the plates - no more than 4.4%;
  • minimum tensile strength of layers - 16 kPa.

Isobox "Ruf" is usually involved in the installation of various roofs, mostly flat. The material can be marked "B" (top) and "H" (bottom). The first type is always present as an outer layer, it is denser and tougher. Its thickness ranges from 3 to 5 cm; the surface is undulating, the density is 154-194 kg / m3. Due to its high density, "Ruf" reliably protects against moisture and low temperatures. As an example, consider the Isobox "Ruf B 65". This is basalt wool with the highest possible density. It can withstand loads of up to 150 kilograms per m2 and has a compressive strength of 65 kPa.

Isobox "Ruf 45" is used as a base for roofing "pie". The thickness of the material is 4.5 cm. The width can be from 500 to 600 mm. The length is differentiated from 1000 to 1200 mm. Isobox "Ruf N" is paired with "Ruf V", it is used as a second heat-insulating layer. It is used on concrete, stone and metal surfaces. The material has a good water absorption coefficient, does not burn. Thermal conductivity - 0.038 W / m • K. Density - 95-135 kg / m3.

When installing the roof, it is necessary to "put" a diffusion membrane, which will reliably protect the roof from moisture penetration.The absence of this important element can lead to the fact that moisture will get under the material and provoke corrosion.

The advantage of the membrane over PVC film:

  • high strength;
  • the presence of three layers;
  • excellent vapor permeability;
  • possibility of installation with all materials.

The material in the diffusion membrane is non-woven, toxin-free propylene. Membranes can be breathable or non-breathable. The cost of the latter is noticeably less. Membranes are used for ventilation systems, facades, wooden floors. The dimensions are usually 5000x1200x100 mm, 100x600x1200 mm.

Isobox waterproofing mastic is a material that can be used ready-made. The composition is based on bitumen, various additives, solvent and mineral additives. It is permissible to use the product at temperatures - 22 to + 42 ° C. At room temperature, the material hardens during the day. It exhibits good adhesion to materials such as concrete, metal, wood. On average, no more than one kilogram of product is consumed per square meter.

There is also insulation from Isobox in rolls. This product is listed under the Teploroll brand. The material does not burn, it can successfully equip interior rooms where there are no mechanical loads.

Width in millimeters:

  • 500;
  • 600;
  • 1000;
  • 1200.

The length can be from 10.1 to 14.1 m. The thickness of the insulation is from 4 to 20 cm.

Reviews

Russian consumers note in their reviews the ease of installation of brand materials, their resistance to temperature extremes. They also talk about the high strength and durability of insulation. At the same time, the price of basalt slabs is low, so many consider Isobox products to be one of the best on the market.

Tips & Tricks

With the help of materials from Isobox, several tasks are solved at once: insulation, protection, sound insulation. The material of the boards does not interact with solvents and alkali, therefore it is advisable to use it in workshops with environmentally unsafe industries. The composition of the brand's mineral insulation includes various additives that give it plasticity and fire resistance. They also do not contain toxins and serve as a reliable barrier to cold and moisture, therefore they are also suitable for residential buildings.

Basalt slabs are staggered, the joints must overlap. Be sure to use films and membranes. Heat plates are best placed "in a spacer", the seams can be sealed with polyurethane foam.

For central Russia, the thickness of the heat-insulating “pie” made of materials from Isobox 20 cm is optimal. In this case, the room is not afraid of any frosts. The main thing is to correctly install the wind protection and vapor barrier. It is also important that there are no gaps in the area of the joints (the so-called "cold bridges"). Up to 25% of warm air can "escape" through such joints in the cold season.

When laying the material between the insulation and the wall of the object, on the contrary, a gap must be maintained, which is a guarantee that the surface of the wall will not be covered with mold. These technical gaps should be created when installing any siding or thermal boards. On top of thermal plates, rolled insulation "Teplofol" is often laid. The joints are sealed with polyurethane foam. Be sure to leave a gap of about two centimeters on top of Teplofol so that condensation does not accumulate on it.

For pitched roofs, insulation boards with a density of at least 45 kg / m3 are suitable. A flat roof needs materials that can withstand serious loads (weight of snow, gusts of wind). Therefore, in this case, the best choice would be basalt wool 150 kg / m3.
