To avoid overheating of equipment, do not place it near radiators. It is better to position the table in relation to the windows so that the light does not dazzle or glare off the monitor. It is recommended to leave the distance from the eyes to the monitor at least one meter, this should be taken into account when choosing a tabletop. But at the same time, its size should allow you to reach any object without effort.

As for the shelving unit, it is good if it does not have the same shelves and compartments for different functions. For example, in large sections you can put a printer, and small ones can be filled with books, disks, flash drives and other trifles. Not bad if there is space for the system unit and speakers.

You should also pay attention to the height of the rack. Usually they are designed for a person of average height.For those who like to store a lot of things, you can buy a high rack, but it is better to store items of frequent use on the lower shelves.

When choosing a table, especially for a student, one should take into account not only its versatility and integration into the design of the house, but also the appropriateness from the point of view of health.

The following requirements will help you organize your workplace correctly:

• the length of the table should be at least 80 cm, this space is enough so that the elbows do not hang down, otherwise the child will have a change in posture;
• it is necessary that the edge of the table (in a sitting position) falls on the area between the abdomen and chest, this height is considered ideal. If height adjustment is not provided, a screw chair should be selected;
• the rack should not block natural light and be guessed by peripheral vision. It's a good idea to place the table against the wall by the window. There should be enough space on the countertop or rack for lighting fixtures during the dark.

There are three main types of such furniture:

• Corner table most popular. It fits well in a small space. It has many advantages. The table is compact and has a wide table top. It is completed with a large number of drawers, sometimes with a pull-out cabinet. The rack can be oriented towards one or both walls. Most often, the racks are one-sided, therefore, when buying a corner table, you should take into account the direction of its rack (left-side or right-side). The purchase is carried out based on the selected location in the premises.

• Linear table assumes a shelving on one wall, but there may be shelves under the countertop. Such a model has no restrictions on the length and width of the table top, it is selected with the orientation of the room space. It has a drawer or even several, a built-in bottom shelf for a computer and a pull-out shelf for a keyboard. If you need classic furniture, this option is the most optimal. A linear table can be either a writing or a computer one. The latter differs from writing only in devices for a computer and its components.

• Small desk-desk with a convertible top and a light shelf superstructure is good for a child of preschool or primary school age.

Most tables with shelving are made of chipboard and fiberboard materials. Sometimes the coverings are laminated to make the furniture more attractive. A table made of this material is strong and stable, it is moisture tolerant and relatively inexpensive.

But this is a rather thick material compared to the airy glass and metal structures. In an interior with a Gothic style, for example, an elegant metal table with a lightweight superstructure in the form of a rack of several shelves looks good.

Tables made of expensive wood, decorated with mosaics and inlays look rich. Glass, natural stone, and bone are used to decorate the countertop.

If a table made of the material of interest is not in stores, it can be ordered at furniture factories according to an individual project.

In most cases, manufacturers today offer chipboard tables (wood products are expensive). This material has become commonplace in home interiors. Furniture for a children's room is no exception. Of course, you cannot call it ecological, but when buying a table for a child, check at least a certificate from the seller confirming the safety of the product.

Due to the lack of space, the work area is organized in any possible place of the house: in the hall, nursery, kitchen, corridor. There is no exception for the bedroom.

It is generally accepted that the bedroom is not the best place to work. During the day, the bed distracts and disposes to rest, and during sleep, the table does not allow you to fall asleep, reminds you of work. But if you look from the other side, then in the house where the family lives, the quietest place is the bedroom.

If the choice fell on this room, you should try to create a work area by fencing it off from the bed with a light partition or table rack. It is a rack, and not a blank cabinet, otherwise the room will be dark. But, if the room is too small, you can leave it as it is.

A table oversaturated with drawers, sections and a large number of shelves will "kill" the interior of a small bedroom. A lightweight shelving unit over a compact table will not hurt. He will help to arrange all things on the shelves and the workplace will not look like a cluttered spot against the background of peaceful rooms.

It is not necessary to place the table in the far corner: having found a place for it by the bed, you can save on the bedside table, and put the remote control, glasses or a book directly on the tabletop.
