Dishwashers Electrolux fell in love with the domestic consumer for their reliability, durability and functionality. Every year the manufacturer improves the technique and offers customers new models.

Dishwashers of the brand have a long service life, but breakdowns still happen. Most often, the user is to blame for them: non-observance of the rules prescribed in the operating instructions often leads to the fact that the equipment fails. To facilitate the task of finding the cause of the malfunction, a self-diagnosis system is provided in many devices. Thanks to her, error codes are displayed on the display, knowing which you can independently determine the malfunction and fix it yourself.

Error codes due to heating problems

There are 2 types of Electrolux dishwashers: models with and without display. The screens show important information to the user, such as fault codes. On devices without displays, various malfunctions are indicated by light signals that are displayed on the control panel. By the frequency of flickering, one can judge about one or another breakdown. There are also models that warn of malfunctions by means of light signals and by displaying relevant information on the screen.

Most often, users are faced with water heating problems. A malfunction with heating will be indicated by the code i60 (or 6 light flashes of the lamp on the control panel). In this case, the water can either overheat or remain cold altogether.

If the error is displayed for the first time (this applies to any code), you must first try to reset it. To do this, you need to disconnect the equipment from the electrical network, wait 20-30 minutes, and then reconnect it to the outlet. If the restart did not help "reanimate" the device, and the error was displayed again, you will have to look for the cause of the breakdown.

The i60 code is highlighted due to:

  • malfunction of the heating element or damage to the supply cables;
  • failure of the thermostat, control board;
  • broken pump.

To fix the problem, you need to check each of these components. First of all, you need to eliminate problems with the wiring and heater. If necessary, replace the cable or heating element with a new part. If the pump fails, the water will not circulate well. Adjusting the control board is a tricky task. If the control unit fails, it is recommended to call a specialist to repair the dishwasher.

The code i70 highlighted on the display indicates a breakdown of the thermistor (In this case, the light on the control panel will flash 7 times).

A malfunction most often occurs due to burnout of contacts during a short circuit. The part needs to be replaced with a new one.

Problems with draining and filling water

If any problem occurs, you must first try to reset the error by disconnecting the equipment from the mains. If such actions did not bring positive results, you need to look for decryption of codes and make repairs.

For different problems with draining / filling water, different error codes appear on the display.

  • i30 (3 light bulb flashes). Indicates the activation of the Aquastop system. It is activated when an excessive amount of liquid stagnates in the pan.Such a malfunction is the result of a breach of the tightness of the storage tank, cuffs and gaskets, a violation of the integrity of the hoses, and the occurrence of leaks. To eliminate the damage, these components must be carefully inspected and, if necessary, replaced.
  • iF0. The error indicates that more water has accumulated in the tank than it should be. In most cases, the error can be eliminated by selecting the waste liquid drain mode on the control panel.

Problems due to blockages

System clogging is often encountered by users of any dishwasher. With such a malfunction, such codes may appear on the display.

  • i20 (2 light flashes of the lamp). Waste water is not discharged into the sewer system. Such a code "pops up" due to a blockage in the system, blocked by debris in the pump, squeezing the drain hose. First of all, you need to check the hoses and filters for blockages. If they are found, it is necessary to remove the accumulated debris, rinse the hose and the filter element. If it's not a blockage, you need to dismantle the pump cover and see if the debris that gets in the way is preventing the impeller from working, and, if necessary, clean it. If a kink is found in the hose, position it straight so that nothing interferes with the outflow of waste water.
  • i10 (1 light flashing lamp). The code indicates that water does not flow into the dishwashing tank or it takes too long. For such a manipulation, each model is given a strict time. Problems with the intake of fluid from the system arise due to blockages, temporary shutdown of water in connection with planned repairs or emergency abnormal situations.

Sensor malfunctions

Electrolux dishwashers are crammed with electronic sensors that are responsible for the operation of the device. For example, they monitor water temperature, quality and other parameters.

In case of problems with different sensors, such codes "pop up" on the display.

  • ib0 (light notification - the lamp blinks on the control panel 11 times). The code indicates problems with the transparency sensor. The device often gives such an error if the drain system becomes clogged, a layer of dirt forms on the electronic sensor, or it fails. In such a situation, first of all, you need to clean the drain system and the sensor from contamination. If such manipulations did not help, the sensor should be replaced.
  • id0 (lamp blinks 13 times). The code indicates an interruption in the work of the tachometer. It controls the speed of the motor rotor. Problems often arise as a result of loosening of fasteners due to vibration, rarely - when the sensor winding burns out. To fix the problem, you should assess the reliability of the sensor mounting and, if necessary, tighten it. If this does not help, it is recommended to replace the broken electronic sensor with a new one.
  • i40 (warning - 9 light signals). The code indicates a problem with the water level sensor. An error can occur due to the failure of the pressure switch or the control module. To fix the problem, you need to replace the sensor, repair or flash the module.

Electrical problems

Several codes indicate such problems.

  • i50 (5 blinks of the bulb). In this case, the pump control thyristor is faulty. In the occurrence of a malfunction, voltage drops in the network or an overload from the signal from the control board are often "guilty". To fix the problem, it is recommended to check the functionality of the board or replace the thyristor.
  • i80 (8 blinks). The code indicates a malfunction in the memory block. The device generates an error due to an interruption in the firmware or a malfunction of the control unit. In order for the code to disappear on the display, you must flash or replace the module.
  • i90 (9 blinks). Malfunctions in the functioning of the electronic board. In this case, only the replacement of the failed electronic unit will help.
  • iA0 (warning light - 10 blinks). The code indicates a malfunction in the fluid spray system.Sometimes such problems occur due to the fault of the user, for example, due to improper placement of dirty dishes. The unit also issues a warning when the spray rocker stops rotating. To eliminate the error, you need to check the correct placement of dirty dishes, replace the rocker.
  • iC0 (12 light blinks). Indicates that there is no communication between the board and the control panel. The malfunction occurs due to the breakdown of the electronic board. To fix the problem, you need to change the failed node.

In most cases, the identified malfunctions can be eliminated by hand.

If you cannot solve the problem on your own, it is better to call a wizard, since setting up equipment will be cheaper than buying a new device. So that the repair work does not drag out, you need to tell the specialist the model of the dishwasher and the fault code. Thanks to this information, he will be able to take the necessary tools and spare parts.
