Although installing a dishwasher does not require any special professional skills, the process has a number of peculiarities. All the nuances must be observed when embedding for the proper quality of the equipment.

Installation conditions

The main thing when installing a dishwasher is to choose a suitable place. If we are talking about built-in appliances, then its dimensions must match the dimensions of the device. It is necessary to take into account the proximity of the location of communications: water supply and electricity. Otherwise, the process itself will take a lot of time and effort, and you may need the help of specialists - an electrician and a plumber - to move pipes and sockets.

Here are the basic conditions to properly embed PMM.

The presence of a 220 V outlet nearby, water wiring, a drain hose with a maximum length of 1.5 m. Draining more than these parameters will provide an increased load on the pump of the unit. This will entail a reduction in its service life.

Will adversely affect the operation of the dishwasher and proximity to heating devices: radiators, batteries, electric stoves. If the latter are of a modern model, and their case does not heat up, then a close installation is possible.

Do not build PMM next to the washing machine. Vibrations will harm appliances and utensils in it.

When building the car into a kitchen set, you need to make sure that there are partitions on the sides.

Thus, the best installation option is next to the sink. This will provide a convenient wiring of communications.

Embedding methods

The PMM can be built into any cabinet that meets the requirements. If there are no communications nearby, then you should think about buying non-built-in appliances, or re-equipping the kitchen. The dishwasher can be installed in the kitchen unit. Cabinets, niches can be used as a place for placing equipment. They are built in under the table top, in the pencil case.

Into a niche

A niche can be provided in the kitchen unit for building in appliances. It is suitable for mounting a dishwasher. Usually its dimensions are small, so compact models of equipment are installed in a niche. This accommodation option is suitable for daily dishwashing for a small family.

If the niche is far from the water supply, then flexible hoses will come to the rescue. They can be used to supply cold water or as a drain.

When purchasing free-standing equipment, there is no need to look for a suitable place for it in the headset. When it does not fit into the design solution of the kitchen, it can be hidden with a decorative overlay that matches the color of the headset facades.

In order to correctly choose a place for building a dishwasher, there are drawings in the instructions, where the dimensions are indicated. The recommended dimensions of the niche are also described in detail there.

Into the cupboard

It is desirable that the width of the cabinet for equipment is at least 45 cm. It is recommended to install the dishwasher in a regular unit next to the kitchen sink. This will simplify the connection process, since the PMM can be connected to the previously equipped water supply system under the sink.

Before embedding, the rear facade and shelves are removed from the cabinet. It is necessary to ensure a perfectly level position of the dishwasher. For leveling, special threaded legs are used, which can be adjusted in height. If necessary, holes are made in the side wall for connecting communications.

The equipment is connected to communications in this order: drain hose, water supply and electricity. It will not be superfluous to install a water seal equipped with a drain pipe.

After installation, you can mount the decorative door on the cover of the machine.

In a free-standing module

When the kitchen set is limited in the free space inside the cabinets, and there is no place for the PMM, then you can purchase a separate cabinet for equipment. At the same time, its installation is necessary near the main nodes.

It is necessary to ensure high-quality fastening of the PMM, otherwise the vibrations will move the cabinet. The hoses are laid along the wall and out of the back of the cabinet. The advantage of this method is that in the event of a pipe leak, there is no need to dismantle the cabinet and the unit itself; it is enough to move the module.

Construction stages

Usually, the entire algorithm for embedding a dishwasher into a finished kitchen set is described in the instructions from the manufacturer. The scheme of work should be studied in advance, as incorrect actions can lead to a malfunction of the unit and the loss of warranty service. The instructions describe step by step how to properly install the dishwasher in a modular kitchen yourself. Do-it-yourself embedding will significantly save the family budget. It is important to understand how the technique is attached and how to secure communications.

Preparation

Before starting work, you must purchase: FUM tape, double-sided tape, sealant, adjustable wrench, screwdriver, screwdriver and hammer.

The complete set of PMM, in addition to the unit itself, must contain an installation kit, hoses and the fasteners itself. You can check the kit and the absence of elements according to the list of equipment.

Mounting

When starting the installation, you need to make sure that the dimensions of the niche or cabinet fit the dimensions of the dishwasher, and there are also holes for communications.

Step by step guide.

  • First, you need to put the PMM opposite the place where it will be built.
  • Pull the hoses to the connection points, and lead the electric cord in the direction of the outlet.
  • Check the length of the hoses after placing the unit in the niche.
  • Pull the PMM out of the niche again and carry out the following manipulations: on the inside of the countertop, fix a film that protects from steam. Cover the edges with tapes for sealing. Then the damper and mounting elements are installed.
  • Observe all the necessary dimensions of the gaps between the walls of the machine and the cabinet, mount the legs in such a way that the unit is perfectly level.
  • Attach noise protection elements, if the PMM is equipped with them.
  • Install decorative overlays, adjusting them to the size of the cover. In order for them to stand evenly, they can be glued with double-sided tape, and then secured with self-tapping screws.

Sewer connection

To connect the dishwasher to the sewer, you need to choose the appropriate option.

  • Insert the drain hose into the collar of the sewer pipe.
  • Connect the hose to the drain system under the sink.

If the drain pipe is equipped with an additional hole in advance, then you can connect the PMM directly without additional manipulations. In the second case, a 3/4 tee is required. For installation in a siphon, a model with a bend is required.

Water connection

Since in multi-storey buildings there is no possibility of regulating the water supply temperature, and there are no special filters, it is recommended to supply only cold water to the dishwasher.

When supplying cold water to the unit, it is imperative to install a cleaning filter. This will extend the life of the dishwasher.

It is recommended to seal threaded connections with FUM tape to protect against leaks. Use of a sealant is possible.

Electrical connection

Since the original length of the dishwasher's electrical cord is 1.5 m, the outlet must be within this range so that extension cords are not used. Their use is not recommended due to the fact that, according to the rules, separate power supply lines must be used for household appliances. To lay a separate electrical line, you will need a copper wire up to 2.5 meters long, a 16 A machine and the outlet itself.

When installing, removing or repairing the dishwasher, disconnect the power supply. To do this, a circuit breaker is turned off in the panel, to which the kitchen power supply lines are connected.

Having installed the unit, it is necessary to check its operability and the functioning of communications. It is for this purpose that a test run is provided in the technique.

Advice

The presence of the instructions assumes the self-installation of the dishwasher. If this is not possible, then it is recommended to contact the specialists who provide the service for connecting the equipment.

Do not disregard the recommendations of the manufacturer of household appliances. Some seemingly insignificant moments can become fatal: warranty service may end, and the machine itself will become inoperative.

It is not enough just to use the machine and wipe it down. It is necessary to use special agents during operation, as well as salt and rinse aid. This will enable the filters to self-clean, which means that the service life of the machine will be increased.

Even a person without experience can cope with the installation of the machine and its connection. It is important to follow all guidelines in this process and use the manufacturer's instructions.
