Gas ovens with gas oven convection have appeared on the kitchen appliance market relatively recently. Ovens are well-deservedly popular, as they provide new opportunities in cooking - several types of grilling and high-quality baking, defrosting and drying.

Peculiarities

Gas stove with convection oven (KD) is a new type of household equipment. Convection is the uniform distribution of hot air inside a modern appliance, which allows chefs and housewives to prepare food at a high level. Thanks to the fan built into the back panel of the stove, the heated currents constantly move throughout the entire volume of the oven, and you can forget about overdrying or dampness during baking.

Gas cooking is more troublesome. But such food has a distinctive natural taste, it smells like a fire, resembling that cooked in a real Russian oven. Culinary experts claim that recipes are slightly different in electric stoves.

This is especially true for mushrooms, crackers, meat and fish dishes, complex recipes from several ingredients, vegetables. All kinds of pastries, with filling and fillers, surprise with their beautiful appearance and sophistication.

A thin crust quickly forms on the surface of the baked product, and in the future, the liquid from the food does not burn out, remaining inside. Therefore, the dish remains surprisingly juicy.

Until recently, only electric ovens used in culinary workshops were allowed to operate with a convection system. In everyday life, our grandmothers often put bricks in the gas stove so that the food would not burn from below. In modern gas stoves with a CD, the oven is equipped with not only one, but also two heaters - an upper and a lower one.

Ovens with a built-in fan are different, with different levels of control, with a spit and a grill. Wet CD replaces steaming food. Food products fully retain their taste, valuable vitamins and microelements are not lost. Cold convection allows fast defrosting. This procedure for preparing products takes place in several thermal modes.

Gas stoves are most often equipped with a skewer, which was previously present in many older types of stoves. This is the name of a metal rod on which whole poultry or barbecue is fried, a large piece of meat, slowly turning. The rod is inserted into a groove on the back wall and set in motion with a small electric motor, and the carcass is secured with clamps.

Key features and capabilities

The main element of the device is a powerful fan. When installing an additional heating element, the air moves more intensively and heats up faster. Such solid equipment allows you to perform the following culinary operations.

  1. Routine cooking. The top and bottom heaters allow you to make pizzas and pastries, pies and curds with curd.
  2. Accelerated cooking. Dishes stuffed with fruits and vegetables, casseroles and recipes made from meat products. In this mode, the fan additionally operates in tandem with the heaters. If a heating element is added, located along the perimeter of the circle, the express cooking process takes place at different levels.
  3. Grill. The upper one ensures light browning of all baked dishes. In this case, the heating elements are located in the upper compartment. There are stoves with an electric grill and an air grill.Convection oven as a type of convection oven is a glass container on a plastic support, has a heating element on the lid, with a fan. Vortex streams of hot air do not go beyond the chamber, ensuring uniform heating. Food can be cooked without oil or fat.
  4. Standard grill. Thin pieces of meat and poultry, light vegetable snacks, sandwiches are prepared. When the ventilation system is running, convection is created. With this mode, bulky poultry carcasses are placed in the oven, kebabs and large pieces of meat are fried.
  5. Defrosting. If the temperature is not high, the usual process of defrosting semi-finished products takes place. The included CD makes it possible to intensively defrost and also dry mushrooms, harvest vegetables and fruits in a dry form.

Advantages and disadvantages

The oven in the gas stove used to warm up rather slowly, now this drawback has been completely eliminated. The preheating time is shortened, while the optimal energy (gas) consumption is achieved through quick cooking. The main advantages of consumers include the ability to use several levels and sheets at the same time. None of them leaves food undercooked and bakes evenly.

Oil is consumed just as economically. It is easy to prepare food for the winter, it is convenient and quick to defrost pieces of meat and fish when the fan is on. Convection also eliminates unpleasant odors - ventilation eliminates them completely. And after a complex grill, you can safely proceed to the next procedure - for example, drying.

There are also disadvantages, but they are much less common. Some models are characterized by a thin and brittle coating enamel instead of steel, with long-term operation at high temperatures cracks appear on it. Some types of stoves consume more gas, it depends on the brand that produces the equipment. Therefore, the choice determines how long it will be possible to enjoy such an acquisition for the kitchen.

Needless to say, waste gas mixtures can contaminate the surrounding area when burned. Therefore, a good cooker hood complete with a stove at home is essential. As well as concern for fire safety, although control of the burner in the oven is present in most quality varieties.

There are two ways to clean the oven. The first is to heat the oven to a very high temperature, as a result of which the deposits will simply be burned. The second involves covering the walls with a catalyst. In the process of use, all waste itself oxidizes and remains on the walls. They must then be removed with a damp, soft sponge and a suitable detergent.

How to choose?

There are both exclusively gas and combined stoves, in which half or one of the burners is electric.

When it comes to gas as a fuel, then you should pay attention to such details when buying.

  1. Number of cooking zones. They can be either round, oval or triangular. The power is different, as is the level of the flame. The number is 4 or 6.
  2. The material from which the hob is made. The following options are possible: enamelled surface, stainless steel and aluminum alloy, glass ceramics. Enamel remains a popular material for many buyers. It has proven itself well in many types of cookers. Steel, matt and polished, is not subject to oxidation and is not afraid of harsh chemicals. This area must be wiped dry after use. The treated aluminum alloy is durable, does not crack, and requires very simple maintenance. Each species has its own merits. The cost of a stove with an enamel panel is lower, and the colors of the models differ in variety, it is easier to choose them for any shade of the kitchen interior. At the same time, experts recommend more expensive metal platforms. Glass-ceramic cooking surfaces have appeared recently; such models of stoves are expensive and are elite.
  3. Oven dimensions. Many housewives choose a device with a large oven volume in order to cook as much as possible before the arrival of guests. In addition, the powerful cookers have a solid set of convenient functions.
  4. Gas control. Provides automatic shutdown when the flame is extinguished. Protects against sudden leaks and should ideally be present in the stove of your choice.
  5. Is there an electric ignition and what is it - automatic or mechanical.
  6. The presence of a timer. For mechanics, the function of counting a given time is characteristic, followed by a signal. For the automatic timer, the possibility of programming the operation of the oven and one of the burners has been developed. In this case, switching on and off occurs on the machine according to a given scheme.
  7. Ventilation system type.
