  • gun - the main device, which is designed to supply the abrasive composition to the surface of the base;

Regardless of the assembly plan, sandblasting units create an incoming air flow coupled with abrasive components. When the pressure circuit is assembled, the sand under the action of high pressure is sent directly to the outlet pipe, where it is directly mixed with the air transmitted from the compressor side.

  • ball valves - 2 pcs.;
  • unnecessary gas cylinder;
  • part of the pipe - a funnel-shaped part will be made from it to fill a special container inside the apparatus with sand (abrasive component);
  • tees - 2 pcs.;
  • hoses with passages of 14 and 10 mm, which will be used to send air from the compressor and output the finished mixture;
  • clamps by means of which the sleeves will be attached;
  • special fum-tape, which is useful for sealing the threads of various components of the sandblaster.

If all of the listed components are prepared, you can start assembling a homemade device. Let's analyze step by step how to assemble it correctly.

  • First, the master must competently prepare the tank of the future unit. You will need to scrupulously remove absolutely everything that is there from the cylinder. It is necessary to thoroughly clean the internal surfaces of the structure. For such purposes, you can use various detergents, but only those that do not contain abrasive components. After that, you will need to wait until the workpiece is completely dry.
  • Further, in the prepared cylinder, you will need to make several holes. The top one will be for adding sand. It should be borne in mind that the size of this hole must necessarily correspond to the diameter of the pipe prepared for assembly. The lower hole will be used to fix the valve to the cylinder.
  • In the next step, the master will need to install a crane.... It can be welded very tightly and tightly, or you can simply screw it with an adapter pipe - both options will do.
  • After the tap, you need to put a tee, and with it the mixer block. For effective sealing of threaded fasteners, you need to use fum tape.
  • On the cylinder valve you will need install a tap, and behind him another tee is fixed.

At the last stage of the assembly, sandblasting it is recommended to attend to its mobility. To do this, wheels or handles can be welded to the device for more convenient movement.

To make the device more stable, it is advisable to additionally weld supporting parts from a corner, tubes or parts of fittings to it.

After that, the master will need to connect all the necessary parts to form the channels for supplying and ejecting the composition. Let's divide this step into several stages.

  1. The tee that is located at the bottom, as well as the balloon valve, will need to be connected by means of fittings.
  2. An air inlet hose with a 14 mm bore must be carefully positioned in the space between the mixer block and the tee.
  3. A discharge unit must be connected to a branch of the tee with a fitting that is not tightened.
  4. The abrasive combination hose should be connected to the last outlet of the tee from the bottom.

In order for the structure to turn out to be absolutely sealed, a reliable screw cap must be installed on the pipe filling the balloon with sand.

From a pressure washer
