In advertisements for the sale of real estate, one can more and more often find mention of euro-three-room apartments. And no, this is not just a three-room apartment renovated in the spirit of the 1990s. It is very important to know what it really is, and how to equip such housing so that it meets the necessary requirements.

What it is?

The word "euro" in addition to the number of rooms in an apartment means, first of all, that the kitchen plays the main role in it. It must be combined with the guest area. For all other rooms, space is reserved on a leftover basis. It is desirable (and in the opinion of a number of experts it is absolutely necessary) to use separate bedrooms.

In a decent class "eurotrashka", the kitchen-living room accounts for at least 20 and no more than 35% of the total usable area.

It should be understood that the term "kitchen in a three-room apartment" cannot convey everything that is denoted by the English expressions family room or living room. It's just that such a space is not very familiar to the inhabitants of Russia. You can convey the meaning more accurately through the literal translation - "room for life." It is in it that the tenants of the apartment will begin to spend most of the daytime.

Layout and zoning

But here it is necessary to give one more clarification: why they say it is a euro-three-room apartment, and not a 3-room apartment with a euro-layout or otherwise. The fact is that in terms of area, such a room occupies a gap between the usual two-room and three-room dwellings. The size of 65 squares is practically the limit for it, and therefore the approach to repair, planning, zoning should be different from in other cases. "Eurotreshka" is therefore considered a compromise solution. It is more convenient than a kopeck piece, and at the same time cheaper than a full-fledged three-ruble note.

The kitchen in such an apartment is usually furnished with furniture sets in the shape of the letter P. It will be possible to put a large table for 5-6 people, which will become the visual dominant of the room. It will be successfully complemented by a small sofa designed for relaxation.

The hallway should be equipped with a wardrobe. Separate closets for storing especially important clothes for every day are allocated in the bedroom.

It doesn't have to be cabinets. Other storage systems are sometimes used. The main thing is that they fulfill their function and look beautiful. In the children's room, it is quite possible to find a place for a bunk bed, for a play and study area. Sometimes, however, they try to combine these zones.

A bathroom in euro-three-room apartments can be made as one-piece or separate, according to your taste. All the same, their area is sufficient to effectively beat both one and the other solution. But those options are preferable that are equipped with a bathtub and a small shower.

When decorating an entrance hall, they often refuse a full-fledged dressing room in order to expand the entrance area and increase its comfort.

Instead of plasterboard partitions, glass can be used to separate the kitchen and the guest area. It is more pleasant purely aesthetically and opens up much more scope for extraordinary solutions. Stained-glass windows and a variety of designs allow you to significantly diversify the environment. Some experts believe that space should be allocated in the nursery for two full-fledged sleeping places. However, then you will have to "squeeze" other rooms, which is not very desirable.

Design

Professionals point out that the most important thing is to try to bring three-room housing closer to a full-fledged three-room apartment. Therefore, a dominant light color is a very good choice. The best colors for this are light beige, milky white and soft brown. They will visually expand the space (even in those rooms that had to be reduced in favor of other rooms).

For additional decoration, you can use a variety of elements, but they should be single and look exactly like scattered accents.

It is most pleasant to decorate the "eurotrashka" in a floral and other vegetable key. Such plots are "served" not only through a panel or wallpaper drawing, as is often thought. Suitable and:

  • decorative prints on walls and furniture;
  • paintings;
  • Photo;
  • beautiful lampshades of lamps.

Family photos and art portraits will be most advantageous in the hallway on the longest wall. But if the owners find this inconvenient, it is better to hang such decor in the hall. Whatever decor is used, you need to think about whether the effect of excessive pretentiousness will be created. It is advisable to paint the living room in a monotonous color, and set aside a small part for a combination of colors that are usually not mixed. You can also emphasize, due to a single color, the fusion of the kitchen and the guest area; in other interiors this is deliberately ignored.

An attractive solution is to dilute the dominant white background with green blotches. They will allow you to calm down and tune in the right way. You can also try combining similar designs and patterns on curtains and drapes in all rooms. This will allow you to select the tone, texture and even the material of the curtains to your liking in each specific place, without losing visual unity.

Kitchens in "eurotrashka" should be made lighter; some dark parts and decorative panels are appropriate, but no more.

You must first select kitchen appliances, and then a set. In the reverse order, it is easy to make irreparable mistakes. Shelves are often used to decorate the corridor. Their upper tiers should be reserved for paintings and other accessories. Then the walls will be completely free.

Beautiful examples

The photo shows a kitchen in a "eurotrack" with a low wooden table and a huge panoramic window. The window itself is favorably set off with a light gray curtain. Work and leisure areas are clearly separated. The recreation area is decorated with discreet, but outwardly expressive paintings. In general, the result is a bright and harmonious room.

A three-room euro apartment may look like this. Two windows with translucent curtains look very nice and sophisticated. A light corner sofa with bright yellow cushions visually adds charm. Vegetable upholstered chairs and tall bar stools look sophisticated elsewhere. The classic interior is favorably complemented by a carpet, and original wall clocks, and furniture facades.

    Such a variant of the kitchen is also possible in the "eurotrashka". The tiled finish of the apron separating the two tiers of the headset is perfectly perceived. The contrast between the white ceiling and the woody yellow floor is expressive. An oval table helps to show originality. The spirit of the interior can be summed up in three words as follows: classic, harmony, functionality.
