Flowers are one of the main components of modern design. To give the containers in which the plants are grown, an aesthetic look, stylists usually use pots. It acts as a decorative shell for pots and is easily matched to any style of the room, since it is produced in various designs. The ceramic flowerpot looks especially beautiful in the interior; this design is perfectly combined with other decor items, filling the room with an atmosphere of comfort and home warmth.

Specifications

The composite ceramic planter is an original vessel designed to decorate pots with flowers, which over time can lose their attractiveness and spoil the interior. Since the product does not have drainage holes, it is used only for decorative purposes without planting plants. The tremendous popularity of the pots is due to its benefits.

  • Aesthetics. Allows colors to blend harmoniously with the overall design of the room. Thanks to the correctly selected shape, color and style, the product becomes the finishing touch in the design. Often housewives grow perennial flowers, for example, hoyi, ficuses, palms or dracaena, their pots eventually acquire a salt coating and spoil the appearance of the entire decor, while the pots hide such flaws.
  • Reliable anti-drip protection. Plants constantly need good watering, and the design of the pots provides large holes for the drain of excess water, so it can leak onto furniture or decoration. The planter helps to solve this problem, it has no holes and retains water.
  • Protection of flowers from overheating. Most indoor plants are demanding on lighting, but placing them on south-facing windows in summer can be harmful. In an ordinary pot, the root system of flowers overheats, and they die. Thanks to the protective shell, the soil in the main container does not heat up, and the plant feels comfortable.
  • Convenient watering. Pots with flowers, suspended from the outside on the balcony railing, stairs or walls, look interesting in design, but fixed pots are inconvenient to water. The flowerpot helps to simplify the watering process; it is fixed to the hanging structure, making it possible to freely remove the container.

As for the shortcomings, this type of product does not have them. The only exception can be handmade designer models, they are quite expensive.

Varieties

Today, many companies are engaged in the production of pots. They provide several types of products to the market, which can have their own size and design. Depending on the method of placement, the decorative accessory is subdivided into:

  • wall;
  • desktop;
  • floor;
  • suspension.

In addition, the pots are outdoor, indoor and balcony. The shape of the product is usually oval, spiral, curved and straight. Square and rectangular ceramic pots in neutral colors are in great demand among designers. It goes well with any style of interior and can be placed both in living quarters and on a balcony or veranda. The shape of the decorative product is selected in accordance with the type of plant, for example, a curved or straight design is suitable for orchids, an open design for bonsai, and ovals and arches for curly flowers.

The most common types of pots are considered wall and hanging. Such an accessory looks interesting in a modern interior and complements it with coziness. Marigolds, gerbera, fuchsia, begonia and nasturtium are suitable for these designs. These plants have a small root system, and they do not overload the structure with their weight.

Wall-mounted pots should be placed in the room depending on the color requirements for lighting, while hanging pots are used for vertical gardening and are usually suspended on verandas, gazebos or on ceiling beams in the room.

Floor types are for plants planted in large pots. They act as a beautiful decor for dwarf trees and shrubs. Usually, floor planters are chosen for palms, ficuses, orange and myrtle trees. A tall product with a pallet can also be used in decor; it is installed in the corners of the room. The disadvantage of such structures is their large weight, which makes it difficult to move them when creating a composition.

Tabletop designs are most often chosen for decorating potted flowers placed on tables and window sills. They come in various shapes and are light in weight, allowing them to be carried from one room to another.

Decor options

Decorative pots are presented on the market with a chic choice - from strictly classical execution to bright design. The accessory in pastel and neutral shades in an original way emphasizes the beauty of colors and harmoniously combines with other interior items.

White and gray pots made of ceramics or clay look gorgeous, they go well with the decoration of the ceiling and walls, highlighting the flowerpot from the general background. It can look like a ball, oval, or rectangle.

An original and bright pots, on the contrary, are able to overshadow the beauty of plants. To create an unusual composition, it is recommended to place non-flowering plants in it. For example, juicy greens of flowers will help dilute orange, red or yellow planters.

If a monotonous accessory seems boring and monotonous, then, if desired, it can be supplemented with inscriptions and pictures. Antique decorative flasks are also considered an unusual solution, the accessory "snail", "lock", "boot" looks unusual.

Accessories from the Gloria series deserve special attention. A square white planter with a slight mirror shine will add nobility to both the living room and the balcony.
