Plastic doors, which have long been used in our country, are a modern and reliable way of delimiting premises. However, no door is complete without a handle. Handles for doors made of PVC should be selected with great care. So, one should take into account the direct purpose of the door and its location, as well as the intended set of functions that it will perform. It is worth considering in more detail what other features you should pay attention to when choosing fittings, what types of structures exist and what they are intended for.

A handle for a plastic door is not a luxury, but a necessity. In order to fully fulfill its purpose, it must have the following characteristics:

• functionality (some models can perform not only the function of handles, but also include a lock);
• ergonomics (convenience and comfort are quite important indicators, because you will use this element all the time);
• compliance with the design (whatever one may say, the handle should not be an accent element of the interior, rather, on the contrary, it should become its invisible detail).

In addition, it should be noted that the handles themselves, despite the fact that they are intended for a plastic door, can be made of various materials (artificial or natural). You should also pay close attention to this characteristic when choosing and buying accessories.

Such structures do not have any connection with the lock, therefore they are most often used to fully or partially open the door. This species is divided into three subgroups.

• The bracket is intended mainly for entrance doors. This model can often be seen in stores and supermarkets, shopping malls, cinemas and other public places. In addition, this option is often used in office premises.

• Shell. These models can be metal-plastic or aluminum. Their main role is to transform the door from the street side.
• Petal. This handle is similar to the previous version, but only available in plastic.

This is the second large group, which includes several subgroups. The main difference between mobile and stationary is their ability to change their position in space.

• Push-on one-sided. This type is intended for indoor installation, most often fixed on balcony doors or doors leading to the terrace. With this model, you can close the door with a key on the lock, but only on one side. Sometimes such handles are equipped with anti-burglary systems and various locks.

• Push-on double-sided. This model is perfect for interior doors. It can be equipped with a keyhole.
• Balcony door handles. Another double-sided option, the outer handle of which is rather narrow, which is done primarily in order to save space.

In addition to the listed models, there are other options. So, rotary models, as well as bolt handles and knobs are popular. Often, such options have great functionality and combine several characteristics at once.

There are several criteria that you need to pay close attention to before purchasing a pen. So, you should take into account the location of the door on which the handle will be installed. If this door is an interior door, then you can choose the simplest and most standard option, devoid of security systems. It should also be noted that for interior doors, in addition to the door to the bathroom, it is customary to install a double-sided handle, which makes it possible to open the door both from the inside and from the outside. The fittings must match the door and also fit into the overall design of the room. It's no secret that even small, poorly chosen details can ruin the overall impression of a room.

First of all, make sure that the handle has been installed correctly. To do this, in the process of securing it, you must clearly follow the instructions. After it has been installed and put into operation, you should carefully monitor its condition. If any difficulties arise (for example, you notice that the door does not close completely due to a malfunctioning handle), you should immediately start repairing it. And you should also make sure that the handle fits snugly against the door and does not get loose. If the core of the handle breaks (this applies to models equipped with a lock), then you must immediately replace it. You should not try to repair the fittings - unauthorized penetration into the mechanism can lead to even greater difficulties. In addition, it is important to handle the part with care and care - do not pull or turn the handle suddenly. Such aggressive actions can lead to a breach of integrity.
