Corner cases in the interior of bathrooms: the advantages of models and tips for choosing

The pencil case is great for small bathrooms. It is a shallow, narrow cabinet that fits perfectly into the corner of the bathroom. Despite the fact that the pencil case is tall, it can be considered a compact piece of furniture. For large rooms, you can choose models with wide facades or spacious L-shaped structures.

Not every piece of furniture can occupy an empty corner of the bathroom. For such places, special designs are produced, such as a corner pencil case. He is the guarantor of order in the bathroom, because he collects a lot of haphazard things, while he himself does not take up much space. But it is a mistake to think that a pencil case can be shoved into any corner. This is not true.

When creating the interior of a small bathroom, you should not make spontaneous decisions. One sheathed corner will lubricate the space, distort the proportions. To balance the interior, there should be a shower stall or another towering structure in the opposite corner. You can use two corner cases on either side of the sink.

Despite the sophisticated shapes of corner furniture, the spaciousness of such a cabinet meets all expectations. It can have open and closed shelves, drawers, a basket for dirty laundry. The shape of the pencil cases determines the variety of their appearance. They can be of different configurations, regardless of whether they are on the floor or suspended from the wall. The appearance of the models can be affected by the presence or absence of doors, as well as their partial equipment.

• Triangular the form is considered a classic option. The standard corner filling design can be closed with a rectangular door. The shape of the shelves follows the geometry of the corner. It is not easy to arrange things on triangular shelves, so pencil cases are not made too deep. It is easy to get used to non-standard storage places; rational use of the corner compensates for minor inconveniences.

• Trapezoidal the form is more capacious. Shelves are easier to store than triangular models. The contour of the trapezoid increases the volume of the product. Visually, this design is more attractive.
• Radius the shape increases the volume of the corner cabinet due to the curved facade. Such models can contain versatile shelves, including drawers. They fit beautifully into the interior of the bathroom, they have soft, pleasant outlines.
• L-shaped the shape outwardly resembles two pencil cases forming an angle. This design is spacious and suitable for large rooms. Unfortunately, it is rarely used in bathroom interiors.

Bathrooms belong to rooms with high humidity. Furniture manufacturers take this factor into account and use moisture-resistant varnishes and impregnations in the production of wood products, MDF and chipboard.

In most cases, metal in corner cases is represented by chrome-plated steel products. The mirrored appearance of the material is supported by other similar bathroom accessories. It goes well with tiles. An easy-to-use version of the compact design, installed in the corner above the bath. It looks like a chrome-plated telescopic tube on which glass shelves are strung in a metal outline.

So that a metal floor case does not resemble a safe, it is better to give preference to elegant shelving-type structures. Forged products in combination with glass look extravagant. The use of metal in the interior requires industrial, urban (urban) styles, as well as classics and gothic.

Wooden products are expensive materials. They look warm and cozy against the background of ice tiles. Hard varieties of trees are suitable for rooms with high humidity. Some of them are used in exclusive versions in the creation of plumbing.

For pencil cases, it is enough to use teak or larch with moisture-resistant impregnations and varnishes. It is better to install wooden structures in a far corner from the bath and shower. The material should not be tested by constant moisture evaporation. Wood is well suited to historical, rural or colonial destinations where natural products are valued.

You can purchase a pencil case made of MDF or chipboard. These are budget and popular materials. They are treated with special varnishes and paints, which make the products resistant to moisture. MDF and chipboard well imitate wood, its natural color scheme, which makes it possible to choose the necessary model for a specific interior. Contrasting options are especially effective, for example, a combination of bleached oak and chocolate-colored wenge.

The MDF construction looks heavier than fine wrought metal or glass. The presence of a mirror, or the absence of doors, will help to make it easy to perceive.

Tempered glass works well in the bathroom. Such furniture preserves the volume of the room, makes it lightweight and airy. Weightless transparent shelves disappear into graceful forged designs or chrome-plated pencil case frames. Glass products are easy to care for, wash well and do not collect mold.

However, we must not forget that even tempered glass can be dangerous if handled carelessly. Therefore, you should not purchase such pencil cases for tight spaces. If styling requires glass, you need to be prepared to keep the transparent shelves in perfect order.

Plastic is absolutely not afraid of water, does not rot and does not rust. It is easy to care for and inexpensive. From the pros, you can add a rich choice of colors, textures and shapes. But cheap material won't create expensive interiors.
