The cassette toilet is called so because of the autonomous tank (cassette). The tank is very easy to remove, making it easy to replace, clean or transport. Its average capacity is 25 liters. Cassette toilets are located both outdoors and indoors. They are easy to use and there is no unpleasant smell when using them.

Device and principle of operation

The basis of the product is a tank intended for the accumulation of waste. It is installed at the bottom and insulated with a cover. To access the cassette, there is a latch on the front side. There is also an indicator showing the fullness of the cassette.

The top of the dry closet looks the same as a regular toilet. Water is poured into the product to ensure flushing. The dry closet has a special button for this: you can connect the upper tank connected to the water supply.

The nozzles provide a standard full flush, and the polished surface of the parts improves its quality.

Cassette toilets are great for motorhomes. Most products are provided with cleaning-assisting parts such as an overpressure valve and a drain. They also have elements that make it easy to transport: metal or plastic wheels and a retractable handle.

The device works in the same way as other products of this type. There is a liquid in the tank: the waste that gets into it is processed there until it becomes homogeneous. Among the advantages of a cassette toilet are the following:

  • the most capacious tank among dry closets of this type;
  • the possibility of a standard, full flush;
  • an indicator with which the fullness is tracked;
  • the device is equipped with elements for care and transportation;
  • the size of the toilet bowl allows people of any body type to use the device.

As disadvantages, it can be noted that it is much less spacious than a classic toilet, and difficult care.

Model overview

Cassette toilets differ in a variety of models. It is worth paying attention to the most common of them.

  • CW200. Stationary dry closets that have a high-quality flush function. The scope of their application is quite wide: they are used in summer cottages, buses, tourist campsites and other places. The dry closet seat has mobility, which helps to save space in the room.
  • S402C. Dry closet with an electronic pump that flushes waste with clean water. It is also equipped with wheels and a retractable handle.
  • C262-CWE. It features a modern design and a control panel that simplifies the use of the product. Flushing is carried out by an electric pump. The compactness of the device allows it to be operated in rooms with a limited area.
  • C262-CWE The Ceramic Bowl is a similar model, which does not differ from the previous one in anything, except for the ceramic bowl, which makes it easier to care for the product.

When choosing a cassette dry closet, first of all, you should pay attention by its size. This will help to avoid problems when installing the product. Ease of use depends on which operating system the model has.

If you plan to purchase a massive dry closet, it must be provided with the necessary parts to facilitate transportation.

User manual

  1. Before use, special fillings for dry closets are added to the tanks. The standard dosage for these additives is 150 milliliters per 20 liters cassette.
  2. As a rule, during the operation of the product, you can leave the valve open.... Each model has its own characteristic features, so it is better to familiarize yourself with the instructions for a specific dry closet before use. The valve must be closed after use. It is better not to use ordinary toilet paper, as this can provoke clogging of the dry closet.
  3. When the flush tank is full, the flush part must be disconnected from it.... After that, you need to empty the tank in the designated place through the pipe. To prevent waste from splashing, hold down the valve button while pointing downward.
  4. To maintain hygiene and prevent calcium build-up, the dry closet should be cleaned regularly... Cleaning must be done both from the outside and from the inside of the product using special substances for cleaning dry closets. It is strongly not recommended to clean with household household products: their composition can harm the product.
  5. If you do not plan to use the toilet in the near future, empty, thoroughly clean and dry the product... This time is the most suitable time to take care of the cassette dry closet. To prolong the life of the device, periodically clean the drain tank, and also lubricate the gaskets with a special substance.
