Operating electronics should not be kept in a box or behind glass, they should not overheat. But what if the TV does not harmonize well with the design of the room and you want to mount it in the wall or furniture? For such cases, built-in appliances are specially produced.

Peculiarities

Modern TVs are much thinner than their predecessors, but still take up space. In addition, many newer models have large screens. Not every interior, especially a designer one, will be able to withstand the dominant TV load. Special built-in equipment will help to level the problem.

Built-in TVs are expensive elite appliances, invented in order not to destroy interiors with their presence. It is capable of being in humid and hot rooms, poorly tolerated by conventional electronics. This special kind of TV is designed, in fact, for extreme conditions. It does not need ventilation for ventilation, it is so well protected from dust and moisture that it can even sit on the bottom of the pool.

These capabilities are especially valuable in a kitchen or bathroom environment.

Technical characteristics of built-in TVs meet all modern requirements. Having the Smart function, the devices connect to the Internet and allow you not only to find and play your favorite video, but also to chat with friends on Skype, without interrupting, for example, cooking. The electronics are controlled by voice, which allows you not to touch the technique with wet hands.

The features of built-in models include their ability to be unnoticed, to be located anywhere, regardless of the room. It should be noted that the cost of such electronics significantly exceeds the price of conventional TVs. But embedded models are worth the expense as they have many advantages:

  • they can be integrated into anything: furniture, walls, floors, ceilings, anywhere inaccessible to conventional technology.
  • they are not afraid of moisture and overheating;
  • built-in TVs in the off state can become invisible, completely disappear in the interior, turning into glass of the facade of furniture or into an ordinary mirror;
  • For special integration points, this type of equipment can be ordered from the manufacturer and will be manufactured according to an individual project.

Electronics is built in in several ways:

  • a TV is introduced into a prepared case installed in furniture or a wall;
  • appliances are built into the furniture door, disguising themselves as glossy glass or mirror.

The TV is mounted in the wall in a certain way.

  • A niche is prepared in advance, the size of which must match the parameters of the selected model.
  • Then a special box with holes for wires and cables is installed in the opening.
  • Then the equipment is mounted. This is done in one of 2 ways: the TV is completely wound into the box, or the front panel remains outside, adjacent to the wall.

Where to embed?

Such equipment is installed in any room. The specificity of the room determines the place where the TV can be placed.

It should be remembered: whatever the chosen place, it should not be in front of the window, otherwise the glare on the screen will interfere with the viewing of programs, and the built-in TV will no longer be moved.

Hall

No living room is complete without a TV. Upholstered furniture is installed opposite it and a recreation area is arranged. You can place a built-in TV in the hall in different places:

  • headset in a niche;
  • disguise as a mirror;
  • embed in the wall in the form of a picture, surround with a baguette;
  • build a zoning partition and introduce a TV into it.

Bedroom

A large sliding wardrobe can be a great place for hidden appliances. Having highlighted the shelf in the furniture, it will be enough just to open it to watch your favorite TV shows. But a more effective option is the integration of electronics into the compartment door. When turned off, it cannot be distinguished from the glossy surface of the furniture. It does not occupy the usable area; together with the door, it moves to the side, allowing the shelves to be used without hindrance.

Kitchen

The TV in the kitchen should be viewed from anywhere. If this is not possible, it is better to give preference to the dining area, since during cooking you have to listen more than watch.

Kitchen appliances are not afraid of moisture and heat coming from the stove, because they are hidden behind special tempered glass. This makes it possible to mount it not only into a wall or furniture facade, but also into a working apron. In such a place, it will not occupy a useful area at all.

The glass that separates the electronics from the rest of the kitchen is easy to clean.

There are 2 ways to install electronics in the apron:

  • pre-prepare and equip a niche, insert a TV into it and close it with an apron glass;
  • the video matrix can be integrated directly into the glass of the apron, but such an installation cannot be done on your own, you need the help of a specialist.

The TV goes well with other household appliances, so it can be built into a rack with an oven and microwave. Looking at the column of kitchen appliances, you do not immediately realize that a TV is integrated into it. Appliances can be built into the kitchen cabinet door without affecting the functionality of the shelves at all.

Bathroom

The TV in the bathroom can be embedded in the wall or in the mirror. He is not afraid of water and hot vapors. His presence allows you to bask in a bubble bath and watch your favorite TV show at the same time, and voice commands will help you avoid contact with technology.

Model overview

Embedded models are expensive, only large companies are engaged in their release. The cost of waterproof products is even more significant. Mirror Media or Ad Notam appliances can be purchased in the living room. For the bathroom and kitchen, it is better to choose waterproof brands, for example, AquaView, OS Android 7.1 or Avel. Several products are included in the list of the best models.

  • Sk 215a11. Refers to ultra-thin models with unlimited mounting options. Can be integrated into wall, mirror, cabinet door. If you install the TV using closers located on the sides of the cabinet, it will not take up at all the usable space intended for storing things. You can sacrifice part of the interior space of the furniture and install the model in the closet on the brackets, then it will be possible to push and unfold it in any convenient direction.

The TV has good technical characteristics. The disadvantages include high cost.

  • Samsung. A major Korean manufacturer offers its embedded electronics. It is endowed with all possible functions of modern technology, including Internet access via the WI-FI module.

The company claims the high quality of its products and gives a 3-year warranty, but the lack of models is still the same - the high cost.

  • OS Android 7.1. The best built-in TV tablet for the kitchen. Integrates into apron, furniture doors, wall and other places. Waterproof and heat resistant, responds to voice commands.
  • LG. A well-known Korean company offers built-in electronics in the middle price segment. TVs have an optimal set of functions, high-resolution images, Internet access.

How to choose?

Before choosing a built-in TV model, you should clearly know the place where it needs to be integrated, accurately measure the parameters. The size of the technique depends on the distance to the viewer, that is, the length of the diagonal should be 3-4 times less than this segment.

Next, you need to decide on the budget that you can count on. Electronics has a large number of additional functions, in practice they may not be needed, therefore, it makes no sense to pay for them. For example, if the equipment is intended for the hall, you should not overpay for water resistance.

To date, of the built-in models, only LED TVs are offered, but you should select products with a large expansion and a viewing angle of at least 180 °.

Examples in the interior

There are many examples when TVs are masterfully built into the interior.

  • A favorite design trick is to combine a TV with a fireplace. They can be located both vertically and horizontally.
  • The giant LCD model is integrated into a custom-made partition.
  • Decorative wall design with built-in TV.
  • The screen takes pride of place in a headset designed for home theater.
  • A beautiful wall with niches for appliances and decor.
  • Zoning divider with TV and fireplace in minimalist style.
  • The TV looks amazing on the glossy surface of the apron in the kitchen.
  • Electronics organically found its niche in the rack with household appliances.
