Any equipment fails over time, this also applies to Rolsen equipment. Depending on the type of malfunction, you can repair it yourself or contact a specialist.

What if the TV won't turn on?

Do-it-yourself Rolsen TV repair requires some knowledge in the field of electronics. It happens that the TV does not turn on from the remote control, sometimes the indicator does not light up. There may be several reasons.

  • A 2A fuse in the power supply unit may blow, as well as a diode D805. As practice shows, if they are replaced, the problem will be eliminated.
  • In some cases, you may encounter the loss of tuning to the channels. In this case, the problem arises in the B-E junction, which is present on the V001 C1815 transistor. A short circuit is the main cause of a malfunction, which can be eliminated by simply replacing the element.
  • It may be that the TV does not turn on only sometimes, when it is in standby mode.... Only the image may disappear, but there will be sound. If you click the technique through the "on-off" button, the image is returned. This happens because the TMP87CM38N processor loses power in the described mode. In this particular case, you need to replace 100 * 50v, R802 by 1kOhm by 2.2kOhm. After that, the five-volt power regulator will start to work stably.
  • If the TV does not turn on from the remote control, then the reason lies in the indicator on the equipment. It must be checked and replaced if necessary. Sometimes there is no problem as such, it is just worth replacing the batteries on the remote control.

Other possible problems

The user has to deal with some other malfunctions. For example, the indicator at the bottom flashes red. There is often no audio on AV. The reason is static voltage, from which the LF sound input is not protected. One of the simplest solutions is an additional resistor. If ROLSEN turns off immediately after 8 seconds, then PROTEKT has a C028 leak. Uncommon, but it may be that there is no image in full format, the size is reduced vertically.

After checking the harness, personnel microcircuit and power supply, it turned out that they were normal. The main reason for the breakdown is the TV's memory. The VLIN and HIT positions will need to be adjusted manually. You can enter the service menu as follows:

  • first turn the volume down to a minimum;
  • hold down the MUTE button and simultaneously press MENU;
  • now you need to scroll with the red and green buttons, and change the required values of blue and yellow.

    When the TV does not work normally, and at the bottom of the screen with warming up, black bars become more and more visible, you will need to replace STV 9302A with TDA 9302H... Working with strapping will not give a positive result. Sometimes users are faced with such a problem when the technician cannot leave the standby mode in the working mode. The reason for the breakdown is short to GND 5. When chaotic blue lines begin to appear on the screen during the operation of the TV, and the picture shakes, then there is no synchronization. You can fix the problem simply by adding additional res. 560-680om.

    Workshops often have to face another problem: the lack of a frame scan. The breakage is manifested by the disappearance of the image when the sound is increased. To cope with the problem, you need to solder everything well in the microcontroller area. The cause of the problem is a breakdown in contact with mechanical stress. If the inscription "Sound off" appears at the bottom of the screen, then this is, as a rule, a factory defect.

    It is very easy to fix the problem, just plug in the speaker connector on the board.

    Error BUS 011 appears on the screen... This usually happens in autotest mode. If you switch the TV to operating mode, then the tuning to the channels disappears. In this case, you will need to change the LA7910 microcircuit. Rolsen C2170IT models may periodically have a problem with shutdown during operation or transition to standby mode. In this case, it is not always possible to turn on the equipment, the TV cannot go out of standby. If you shake the board, then the technique starts to work. As amazing as it may sound, but simple tapping with wooden sticks helps, but this method does not solve the problem for long.

    The line transformer has nothing to do with it, but you can fix the problem if you solder the TDKS leads. Microcracks can be found with an ohmmeter. If you have to change the standby transformer on the TV, then it is better to replace the D803-D806 mains diodes in parallel.

      If the TV disappears again, it will be necessary to change the capacitor 100mkf * 400v, which gives a powerful impulse, incapacitating these elements. Some users say that the reception of programs disappears from time to time, then reappears. It's all to blame for a break in the throttle, it is designated R104. If the V802 transistor breaks down, the power supply will stop starting.

      The disappearance of the OSD graphics is always associated with the absence of frame pulses, since in this case the transistor V010 is broken.

      General repair recommendations

      So that there are no problems with the equipment, experts advise to take responsibility for the instructions for use from the manufacturer... Sudden changes, mechanical stress, high humidity - all this negatively affects the service life of ROLSEN TVs. If there is a regular problem with the sticking out of the diode bridge, then it is worth replacing the network capacitor. With a weak signal at the reception of the air, you need to pay attention to the AGC voltage.

      Another common breakdown is clatter coming from the power supply... The reason for the appearance of extraneous sound is a broken microcircuit on the TDA6107 video amplifier. Often, problems with technology arise after a thunderstorm, since a sharp voltage surge destroys the batteries. If you check the TV, then most often you can see that the transistors are faulty.
