For people engaged in business or scientific research, a separate study has an extremely important role, the environment of which should contribute to increased efficiency and beneficial mental work. And, of course, the main piece of furniture in such a room is a comfortable desk. As a rule, a study is designed in a certain style, and therefore it is very important to choose a model for the interior that is in harmony in color and design with the overall environment of the work area.

White table

When organizing any living space, it is necessary to adhere to the principles of a coordinated combination of all shades present in the interior design. This is the only way to create harmony and a cozy atmosphere in the house. The color of the furniture also plays a significant role in shaping the uniform line of the style you define.

Perhaps the most popular color in fashionable design is white, and it is the white writing desk that easily fits into any style of the study.

From a purely psychological point of view, white stimulates the brain and activates the imagination, so for people whose work is related to creative projects, the acquisition of such a table can be a real godsend.

And for hot-tempered people, white will help calm down and focus on work.

White, like any other, can have different shades, so when buying such a table in your office, it is advisable to opt for the shade that will be in harmony with the rest of the light elements of the interior.

Shades of white can be as follows:

  • milky white - the most beautiful and noble shade of white. As a rule, bleached oak is used for the manufacture of desks of this color. Oak furniture always looks very elegant and respectable. In addition, this shade goes well with almost all shades of the color palette and, accordingly, fits well into many modern styles. It will look most beneficial in styles such as Provence and classics;
  • white gloss - a trendy coating that is used in the manufacture of desks. Fits smartly with such luxurious styles as shabby chic, Renaissance and Baroque. The shiny surface of the table reflects light, making the room more spacious and airy. The only drawback of such models: dirt quickly appears on them, especially fingerprints;
  • matt white - a noble shade that allows you to bring softness and balance to the atmosphere, which is very important for a work environment. It is very important that, unlike glossy surfaces, prints will be completely invisible on a matte worktop. Ideal for the classic design of a personal account;
  • ivory... A writing desk of this shade looks very respectable and rich, for such furniture it is very important to be located in an appropriate setting so that it does not look ridiculous and inappropriate. The most suitable room styles for such models are English and classic;
  • snow white - the rarest color in the production of desks, this option will fit well into the design of Provence.

Black table

Very dark tables are not as popular as white models, but there are some very interesting designs among them that are worth paying close attention to.As a rule, dark tones of furniture are preferred by prosperous people who have achieved a certain social status: successful businessmen, professors and politicians.

There are many shades and midtones of black:

  • the soot color is perhaps the most intense among the black shades. Such a pure black table is perfect for such fashionable design trends as modern or high-tech. Monochrome colors in interiors of this type look especially impressive;
  • black "aventurine" has a pronounced metallic luster, such a table will perfectly fit into a futuristic interior, however, just like in a modernist style or a loft;
  • a very popular and noble shade of black with a red tint is bull's blood. Most often, such a desk is chosen by high-ranking persons, as well as people of high social status;
  • bluish black - the color of a raven wing. A very noble and at the same time austere shade. Such a model can become a wonderful element of the interior in the design solution of art decor;
  • black amber - a shade of dark chocolate, a great option for a classic or English interior in the work area;
  • Marengo color, another exclusive shade of black with a splash of ash gray. Such a model will look good in a trendy loft design.

Black tables, like white ones, can be made in both matte and glossy versions. To remain always presentable, gloss black also needs more careful maintenance: this fact must be taken into account when choosing a suitable desktop for your interior.

Natural woody shades

Natural wood furniture is always popular, and desks are no exception. Ideally, when there is an opportunity to purchase a table made of solid wood, on such models the whole texture of wood is especially beautifully visible.

But if the family's budget does not allow such impressive expenses, you can pick up more economical samples made of artificial materials using wood veneer, which perfectly conveys the color and pattern of natural wood.

Consider the shades of natural rocks:

  • The darkest shade of natural wood is wenge. The black-brown wenge table looks very solid and massive. This color is often used in combination with the color of bleached oak; such models do not look so gloomy in the interior and fit more successfully into different types of design;
  • ash shimo has a gray-brown tone that will look good in an interior decorated in bright colors;
  • walnut can also be attributed to the dark shades of natural wood - this is perhaps the most beloved and demanded shade among cabinetmakers. Its color ranges from reddish brown to dark chocolate. Such a table will look good in a classic interior;
  • a table imitating mahogany, this is suitable for both good classics and fashionable modern;
  • oak color can vary from dark brown to pale pink. Desks made of natural oak have always been considered a sign of wealth and good taste for the owner of the house;
  • beech colors are light shades and range from pale yellow to pink. Steamed beech has a reddish tint similar to that of larch;
  • all shades of redwood can be attributed to cherry color, with the exception of larch and mahogany. When buying a writing desk in cherry color, you need to carefully consider the design of the room, this option requires special attention, since it does not fit into any interior.

Furniture of dark shades has a number of advantages, as a rule, they look more respectable and expensive. In addition, papers and documents are more visible on the dark countertop, which helps to concentrate while working. The disadvantages of such products include the fact that they are always more noticeable mechanical damage or scratchesas well as accumulated dust.
