How to use Indesit washing machines?

When you first buy household appliances for washing, a lot of questions always arise: how to turn on the machine, reset the program, restart the equipment or set the desired mode - it is far from always possible to understand this by reading the user manual. Detailed instructions and practical advice from consumers who have already mastered the tricks of controlling equipment help to solve all problems much faster.

It is worth studying them in more detail before using Indesit washing machines, and new equipment will always give only positive impressions of use.

Before starting to use the Indesit washing machine, it will be very helpful for every owner study the instructions for it. This document sets out the manufacturer's recommendations for all relevant points. However, if the equipment is purchased from hands or is obtained when moving to a rented apartment, useful recommendations may not be attached to it. In this case, you have to figure out how the unit works on your own.

Among the important general rules that must be obeyed, it is worth highlighting the following.

1. Turn off the water tap at the end of the wash. This will reduce wear on the system and extend its service life.
2. Conduct cleaning, maintenance of the unit can be exclusively with the engine off.
3. Do not allow children and persons deprived of legal capacity to operate the equipment... It may be dangerous.
4. Place a rubber mat under the machine body. It will reduce vibration, eliminate the need to "catch" the unit throughout the bathroom when spinning. In addition, rubber serves as an insulator against current breakdowns. This does not change the prohibition against touching the product with wet hands, which may result in electrical injury.
5. The powder drawer can only be pulled out when the wash cycle has ended. It does not need to be touched while the machine is running.
6. The hatch door can only be opened after it has been unlocked automatically. If this does not happen, you should leave the appliance until all washing processes are completed.
7. There is a "Lock" button on the console. To activate it, you need to press and hold this element until a symbol with a key appears on the panel. You can remove the block by repeating these steps. This mode is intended for parents with children, protects against accidental pressing of buttons and damage to the machine.
8. When the machine enters energy saving mode, it will automatically shut off after 30 minutes. The paused wash can only be resumed after this period of time by pressing the ON / OFF button.

In the old-style Indesit washing machines, there is no touch control, a color display. This is an analogue technique with fully manual control, in which it is impossible to reset an already set program until the end of the wash cycle. The choice of programs here is simplified as much as possible, for the temperature there is a separate lever that rotates clockwise.

All modes are displayed on the front panel along with prompts - numbers indicate standard, special, sports (even shoes can be washed). Switching occurs by rotating the selector switch, setting its pointer to the desired position. If you have selected a ready-made program, you can additionally set the functions:

• delayed start;
• rinsing;
• spinning the laundry (it is not recommended for all types);
• if available, it makes ironing easier.

If you wish, you can independently set the desired washing program for cotton fabrics, synthetics, silk, wool. If the model does not have such a distinction by types of materials, you will have to choose among the following options:

• express processing of lightly soiled items;
• daily wash;
• preliminary soaking at low rotation speeds;
• intensive processing of flax and cotton at temperatures up to 95 degrees;
• delicate care of highly stretched, thin and light fabrics;
• denim care;
• sportswear for clothing;
• for shoes (sneakers, tennis shoes).

The correct program selection in the new Indesit automatic machine is quick and easy. You can configure all the necessary options in several steps. Using the rotary knob on the front panel, you can select a program with the desired washing temperature and spin speed, the display will show the parameters that can be changed, and will show the duration of the cycle. By pressing the touch screen, you can assign additional functions (up to 3 at the same time).

Besides, you can set combinations of rinsing and spinning, draining and combination of these actions. To start the selected program, just press the "Start / Pause" button. The hatch will be blocked, water will begin to flow into the tank. At the end of the program, the display will show END. After unlocking the door, the laundry can be removed.

To cancel a program which is already running, you can do a reset during the wash process. In the machines of the new model, the "Start / Pause" button is used for this. Correct transition to this mode will be accompanied by a stop of the drum and a change in the indication to orange. After that, you can select a new cycle, and then unpause the technique by starting it. You can remove anything from the car only when the hatch door is unlocked - the lock icon on the display should go out.

Additional washing functions help make the machine even more functional.

1. Delayed start with a timer for 24 hours.
2. Fast mode... Pressing 1 starts a cycle for 45 minutes, 2 for 60 minutes, 3 for 20 minutes.
3. Spots. You can specify which type of contamination is to be removed - from food and drinks, soil and grass, grease, ink, foundation and other cosmetics. The duration of the given wash cycle depends on the choice.

It doesn't take much effort to turn on and start the wash in your new Indesit for the first time. A grounded, properly connected unit does not need complex and time-consuming preparation. It can be used immediately for its intended purpose, but subject to certain conditions.

It is necessary to wash for the first time without laundry, but with detergent powder, choosing the “Auto cleaning” program provided by the manufacturer.

1. Load the detergent into the dish in the amount of 10% of that used in the “heavy soiling” mode. You can add special descaling tablets.
2. Run the program. To do this, press buttons A and B (upper and lower to the right of the display on the control console) for 5 seconds. The program is activated and will last about 65 minutes.
3. Stop cleaning can be done by pressing the "Start / Pause" button.

During the operation of the equipment, this program should be repeated approximately every 40 wash cycles. Thus, the tank and heating elements are self-cleaning. Such care of the machine will help maintain its functionality for a longer time, prevent breakdowns associated with the formation of scale or plaque on the surfaces of metal parts.

If the first start-up was successful, you can use the machine in the future according to the usual scheme. The procedure will be as follows.

1. Open the hatch... Load the laundry according to the weight limit for the particular model.
2. Remove and fill the detergent dispenser. Place it in a special compartment, push it all the way.
3. Close the hatch the washing machine until it clicks inside the door. This triggers the blocker.
4. Press the Push & Wash button and run the express program.

If you need to select other programs, after closing the door, you can proceed to this stage using the special handle on the front panel. You can also set additional personalization using the buttons provided for this. The version with start-up via Push & Wash is optimal for fabrics made of cotton or synthetics, the laundry is processed for 45 minutes at a temperature of 30 degrees. To start any other programs, you must first press the "ON / OFF" button, then wait for the indication on the control panel to appear.

The detergents used in the washing machine for cleaning linen, removing stains, and conditioning are not poured into the tank, but into special dispensers. They are housed in a single pull-out tray on the front of the machine.

The powder compartment is located in the washing machine on the right, closer to the front panel of the tray. It is filled up according to the recommendations for each type of fabric. Liquid concentrate can also be poured here. Additives are placed in a special dispenser to the left of the powder tray. Pour in fabric softener up to the level indicated on the container.

Sometimes measures when working with a typewriter have to be taken urgently. For example, if a black sock or a bright blouse got into the tank with snow-white shirts, it is better to stop the program ahead of schedule. In addition, if there are children in the family, even a thorough examination of the drum before launching does not guarantee that foreign objects will not be found inside during its operation. The ability to urgently turn off the program accepted for execution and start another instead of it is today in every washing machine.

A universal method suitable for all models and brands is as follows.

1. The "Start / Stop" button is clamped and held until the machine comes to a complete stop.
2. Pressing it again for 5 seconds will drain the water in newer models. After that, you can open the hatch.
3. In older machines, you will have to run the spin mode to drain. If you just need to change the washing mode, you can do it without opening the hatch.

Simply unplugging the plug from the socket will not solve the problem, but you can create a lot of additional difficulties, such as the failure of the electronic unit, the replacement of which costs as much as 1/2 the price of the entire unit. In addition, after connecting the device to the network, the execution of the program can be resumed - this option is provided by manufacturers in the event of a power outage.

If your Indesit washing machine does not have a Start / Stop button, proceed differently. After all, even the start of washing here is performed by turning the toggle switch and then selecting the mode. In this case, you need the following.

1. Press and hold the ON / OFF button for a few seconds.
2. Wait for the wash to stop.
3. Return the toggle switch to the neutral position, if provided by the instructions for the machine (usually in older versions).

When done correctly, the control panel lights will turn green and then turn off. When restarting, the amount of laundry in the machine does not change. Even the hatch sometimes does not have to be opened.

If you just need to change the washing program, you can do it even easier:

• press and hold the program start button (about 5 seconds);
• wait for the drum to stop rotating;
• select the mode again;
• re-add the detergent;
• start work in normal mode.
