The outer part of the knee pads consists of saddle leather with a thickness of 2.6-3.0 mm. The bottom is made of natural felt 8.0–10.0 mm thick or fire-resistant non-woven fabric 10.0 mm thick. The bottom and outer parts are fixed to each other with electroplated metal rivets. Belts for fastening are made of saddle leather, leather split leather with embossing, synthetic tape.
  • NAK-1. A leather version of heat-resistant knee pads of Russian developers, designed for the work of welders, installers and other specialists. This model serves as protection against moisture, dirt in production conditions, cold and various mechanical damage.

The outer part of the knee pads is made of genuine leather, and the inner layer is made of several layers of refractory non-woven fabric or felt.

Both parts are fixed to each other with special rivets. The fastening strap is made of genuine leather.

Felted

This material is widely used in the manufacture of special clothing and aids for welders. The most popular are the following models:

  • MOST - Polish manufacturer's knee pads are made of leather and felt, equipped with buckles for adjustment on the straps;
  • "LEOPARD" - a model made in Russia, the upper layer is made of saddle leather, and the inner one is made of felt.

Split

This material is a layer of leather obtained by separating natural raw materials in the leather industry.

Split knee pads are more in demand, but it is almost impossible to purchase them.

Tarpaulin

Tarpaulin is the standard material in the manufacture of workwear and protective equipment for the welder. Knee pads from this raw material are made heat-resistant, reliable and wear-resistant.
