Corner cabinet filling

Corner wardrobes play an important role in every house or apartment. They are distinguished by high functionality, thanks to which many essential tasks are solved in the matter of storing things.

Corner cabinets are widely known for their feature of using seemingly useless space. At the same time, their compactness gives a stylish image to any room.

Forms

Corner cabinets can be classified by shape into the following types:

  • Triangular. It is made according to the shape of the corner, when viewed from above, a triangle appears clearly. Their internal dimensions allow you to place a large number of things;
  • Trapezoidal. These models are based on a rectangular trapezoid. The advantages of such products are that they are easy to combine with other furniture items;
  • Pentagonal. This is one of the most common options. Their advantages are that they are voluminous, but nevertheless look very stylish. In their cross section, you can easily see a pentagon;
  • Radial. They have curves, they look original, they look organically in any interior;
  • L-shaped. At the base there is the letter "G". Such items fill the space very effectively.

Internal organization

Each corner cabinet has three main parts:

  1. Mezzanine;
  2. Wardrobe;
  3. Bottom part.

Top shelves are for items that are used seasonally and are not needed every day. These include travel bags, shoes, hats.

In the main compartment there are hangers on which you can store summer and demi-season jackets, as well as winter outerwear.

At the bottom, as a rule, there are shoes for daily wear.

Barbells

If the depth of the cabinet is about 55 cm, then such parameters make it possible to compactly place many items. You can make the depth more, but the corner cabinet is not always possible to "push" to such dimensions.

It is best to place several rods in the center, on which the hangers will be located. The space for the compact arrangement of the hangers requires about 50 cm, therefore, when planning a corner cabinet, this factor should be taken into account. So far, nothing has been invented better than a longitudinal bar; both shirts and outerwear compactly fit on it.

The clothes bar can be of different lengths. It is convenient to store on it:

  • Jackets;
  • Skirts;
  • Raincoats;
  • Long Dresses;
  • Denim suits;
  • Tuxedos.

Sometimes the width allows two booms to be stacked.

For high corner cabinets, the so-called pantograph is used. This is the same crossbar that can be raised or lowered using a special mechanism. There are stationary and pull-out shelves, their height is usually just over 35 centimeters.

Drawers and shelves

Pull-out drawers are a useful and essential item ideal for storing:

  • Linen;
  • Towel;
  • Noskov.

Pull-out baskets are plastic and mesh. Such devices are functional and compact, they can store small items that do not need to be ironed.

Shoe shelves at the bottom of the corner cabinet are both inclined and retractable, and there are often shoe pads that reliably retain their shape. These shelves are mounted in the lower compartments. They can be angled and also mobile.

Sliding jeans and pantsuit hangers are practical accessories. It is rational to use a special compartment in which accessories are stored in a suspended state: ties, belts, scarves and the like.

Sometimes special shelves are mounted below for storing household appliances: an iron, a vacuum cleaner, a dryer, etc.

Convenient arrangement of things

In order to correctly arrange the sections, you first need to imagine what area will be involved. To do this, you must first draw a layout diagram of the shelves.

The length is usually about 60 centimeters. It can be slightly smaller if the shelves are located in the letters P and G. With pull-out shelves, furniture becomes more convenient to use.

The closet can be made small if few things will be stored in it. A person can be wealthy, while one small item for storing clothes will be enough for him, in which a small amount of clothes and shoes will fit.

Avid women of fashion often have wardrobes full of things that have been worn once or twice. This category of lovely ladies requires cabinets that literally support the ceiling so that they occupy all corners of the room. Then there is a chance that each thing will lie in its place. The correct arrangement and filling of shelves and compartments in such a cabinet makes it possible to rationally arrange all the things that will always be within reach.

The uppermost shelves are very functional. There you can put objects that you have to use quite rarely:

  • suitcases;
  • grandma's blankets;
  • extra pillows;
  • boxes

and much more.

There will always be items that are needed "sometime later", which can still serve and it is a pity to throw them away.

Materials (edit)

A lot depends on the mechanisms attached to the doors. They carry heavy loads, so they often break. It is advisable to select the rollers in such a way that they do not emit unnecessary noise during the movement. The guides themselves are made of aluminum or steel. Aluminum structures are less durable, but they are much cheaper.

The walls of the cabinet are made of chipboard or natural wood; MDF is often used.

Doors can be made from a combination of materials - wood, plastic, glass.

Glass, on the one hand, expands the space, but this material is fragile, therefore, when using such a product, it is recommended to take precautions and be more careful.

Advantages

Corner cabinets offer many advantages over standard linear models. Among them:

  • Roominess. The product can contain a huge number of things, household appliances and look very compact outwardly;
  • The ability to fill an unused corner space in a room that previously seemed useless. This saves useful space and creates an original design of the room;
  • Easily and organically installed in any interior, but at the same time they look natural and imperceptible.
  • Possibility to add additional light to the room in the case of mirrored door facades.

Wardrobes are ideal for small spaces, the shapes and sizes can be the most unusual. Corner cabinets are also good because the furniture can be placed close to them, since the doors slide along the guides, there is no need to reserve additional space for them. Often such products are installed between adjacent walls, with their help it is convenient to hide inside communications, ledges or niches.
