Radish Alice's Dream is a novelty that has appeared quite recently. The authorship belongs to the famous Russian breeder Blokin-Mechtalin V.I.

In 2020, the hybrid was introduced to the State Committee for Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation. You can cultivate a vegetable in different climatic zones of Russia. It is recommended to grow radishes on garden ridges.

Hybrid Alice's Dream is a low-growing plant consisting of a semi / erect rosette with leaves, the height of which does not exceed 20-22 cm. The compact tops consists of narrow oval or obovate leaves with a rounded end. Sometimes the leaves have slightly wavy edges. The color of the foliage ranges from pale green to grayish green. As a rule, one rosette includes up to 5-6 leaves. The shortened petioles are evenly covered with anthocyanin coloration. It is important to note that the culture does not bloom, even if the planting is not done in time, for example, in June.

The hybrid belongs to large-fruited varieties. Roots ripen neat and leveled. The weight of the radish is 30 grams, and the diameter of the fruit is up to 3 cm. The shape of the root crop is standard - round, and the head is convex. The skin of the vegetable is thin, but firm, smooth, with shine. Ripe radish has a uniform bright red color. Sometimes vegetables ripen with a dark raspberry color. There are no cavities or other irregularities on the surface of the peel.

The harvested radish can be easily transported over long distances. In addition, the hybrid has excellent keeping quality - up to 3-4 weeks without loss of taste and marketability. It is characteristic that even long-stored tubers do not become hollow and fibrous inside.

Alice's dream is famous for its excellent taste. The snow-white and opaque pulp has a homogeneous, fleshy, moderately dense, tender, crunchy and juicy structure without voids and wateriness. The fruit has a pleasant taste - light sweetness is perfectly combined with tenderness and oily. The peel does not contain even the slightest hints of bitterness, and there is a slight pungency in the pulp.

Plucked root vegetables are ideal for fresh vegetable salads, for eating fresh, and as a decoration for various cold dishes. Farmers cultivate Alice's Dream radish commercially, as the vegetable is perfectly stored in cool rooms.

The hybrid is classified as an early maturing variety. From the moment of emergence of mass shoots to the ripening of full-fledged tubers, 22-25 days pass. Germination and ripening of fruits occurs together, so the harvesting period is short - 12-14 days. Radish is collected in several stages - every 4-5 days.

The yield of the hybrid is good if the basic rules of agricultural technology are followed. From 1 m2 of plantings, you can choose up to 3.8-4 kg of crispy and juicy root crops. The maximum indicator is fixed at around 5 kg / m2.

The hybrid is cultivated by the seed method. For this, a leveled and clean area is selected, where elongated grooves are made with a depth of up to 1.5-2 cm.The distance between the rows should be 10x15 cm.Sowing is carried out according to the scheme 10x5 cm. After sowing, it is necessary to carry out abundant watering.

Radishes are planted in late March - early April. Good germination is observed at a temperature of + 15-18 degrees. In addition, the hybrid can be planted in July-August, as well as before winter. It is not recommended to plant a vegetable in the place where cabbage or representatives of Cruciferous plants grew.

Caring for a vegetable crop consists of watering with settled or warm water (every 2-3 days), thinning when the plant has reached a height of 5-6 cm, dressing (twice a season), loosening and weeding row spacings, preventing viruses and insect infestations. Experienced vegetable growers recommend at the initial stage to reduce the daylight hours for the vegetable, covering the plants after 18:00 with dark agrofibre. Covering is carried out during the formation of root crops.

The vegetable culture prefers to grow on fluffy, breathable, nutritious and structured soils with neutral or low acidity. Radish can die if it is planted in swampy and heavy soil.

Despite its high stress resistance, the Alice's Dream hybrid loves sunny places where it is warm, there is protection from cold winds and stagnant water. Many farmers plant radishes in low elevations that are illuminated by the sun.

Radish Alice's Dream has good immunity, so it is able to withstand most diseases, which cannot be said about pest attacks (aphids, cruciferous flea).
